twoofive's mods and mocs
Brickis38542f replied to twoofive's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hey, what a nice collection of technic stuff you got there! -
Hey guys, here are my updates of the motorbike. What do you think ? After building more and more vehicles, especially motorbikes, my standards for qualitative LEGO vehicles has risen. I thought that some of my older stuff doesn't quite meet my standards for the most part anymore, so I decided to update some of my mocs. Let this be the first one. Anyways, the model has all the previous features you would expect from a normal LEGO Technic motorbike (rear, front suspension; working fake engine, a kickstand).Few other things I desired to keep on were the same color scheme and the feeling of the classic style. Unfortunately I had a lot to change, starting from the proportions of the motorbike. The rear part was extremely long, it had to be fixed. Other than that the fuel tank was out of place, The tank was mounted in a better position. This pictures shows the evolution of this motorbike starting from the first version up till the 4. It was a long way to get there :D

Hello fellow builders. I'd like to introduce my new creation. This time I decided to make a light-weight motorcycle - Café racer. So I have recently bought Moto Cross Bike (42007) with the idea of putting it on my shelf, because I really think it‘s a great set, but then I have decided to modify it. I was inspired to do the cafe racer look, since it‘s my favorite style. This one is loosely based on a BMW motorcycle. I wanted to create a boxer engine that BMW bikes are known for. The Engine came out a bit different than what i originally intended because I wanted to give the cylinders a more complex look, but I could not manage to do it, maybe because of the lack of pieces. This cafe racer may not be as detailed as my previous models. There aren‘t many details on the engine this time, the gearbox takes a good part of the engine space but in the end it turned out pretty well, having a clean and simple outlook of the classic motorcycle era. Inspiration: BMW R75/5 DS Features including front and rear suspension, Two speed gearbox (with neutral first and second), cardan shaft, working steering, a V-2 aircooled BMW boxer engine with moving pistons, and a kickstand as well as other smaller details: a big fuel tank, exhaust,a seat, headlight. The handle bars have a quite interesting looking grips, I also added a side mounted license plate. Thanks for taking your time, please tell me what do you think about it .

Hey guys, today I accidentally found my old Harley-Davidson Flhrc RoadKing model, unfortunately in a really bad condition and barely usable again sadly.. Anyways before I threw it into my thrash bin, I dismantled those fancy looking brake discs, and immediately tried one. So what do you think, can these discs be usable with lego? Or should I use my old tooth gear pieces for discs instead?

Alright, don't over push yourself, it can definitely wait in line, yeah the prices of older lego models can be quite high-priced, but hey, that's lego after all, nevertheless I'm sure you can still find some great deals on Bricklink, as a matter of a fact I myself have bought the 8051 for a considerably low price, you just have to track I guess.

So far looks fantastic, this model is just so good for modeling and trying out new things, cant say the same thing about it predecessor - 8051 though (which is still better imo). Right now I haven't got the model myself, I used the pieces for my own model, but I would like to see how this thing looks with the chain inside the swing-arm, so if you consider to still work on it :)
