  1. Tarn looks at De'kra. He had to admit, although clearly a valiant and useful member of the team, he found it hard sometimes to understand his speech patterns. "I thought we'd covered the first intersection? It was a dead end, where we found the hounds, and the other direction allowed us to move on."
  2. It looks as though we may have a unanimous decision soon. Vote: Yasu (TheBoyWonder)
  3. "careful there, guys. I've seen these things move as the Undead. Be wary." Tarn readied himself, intent on the skeleton, expecting it to pop up once it was disturbed.
  4. I love all your Summons, Quarry. Very creative!
  5. Tarn heard the distinctive chime of a Z-mail leter. Unfortunately it wasn't from Ellaria, but from Elgar, the Ranger he had teamed with when preventing a plague being unleashed. He once again scribed his response carefully. Dear Elgar, Thank you for letting me know. It is a shame about Sir Glorfindel, he was a honourable Knight who I enjoyed Questing with. Hopefully I shall see you in the Hall where we can share tales of adventure, but if you leave before I get back from this Quest I am on, just give the items to Scheherazade for safekeeping. Many your arrows always find their target, Tarn
  6. It was a very early roleclaim, and as mentioned, doesn't really help the Town either way. The Scum know who to block if we believe the claim and the Towniness of Yasu. Going after one of the silent minority might be an idea (due to not contributing) but I know some of them are in different timezones sleeping strangely. Also, in Day One, there isn't really much to go on. It's usually lots of people all saying the same thing, so perhaps not as damning to be quiet at this stage?
  7. "OK, it seems we have a concensus to explore. Like Guts says, there have been three intersections in this mine so far. The first one had teh wolves in, then we went right. Then we came to the second intersection and went left. Let's try to head back to the second intersection and head right."
  8. Great job on the NPC index, Zepher I was thinking of submitting Vres, Laxadaisi, Jurn and Captain Hlin Horrkkba of the Ve'er Town watch (my favourite character to play!), seeing as other QMs have added several of their secondary characters.
  9. "I would rather press on, but am happy if the majority wish to explore this level more."
  10. You said it, Yasu! Now we have to see whether your admittedly lousy defense will save you. On Day One, with nothing else able to be confirmed, it's not looking good for you when voting opens.
  11. Add me to the Wren fanclub! Great monologue, and I love the fact that she's such an influence on the heroes.
  12. OOC: As Tanma mentioned, his health should not be 18/18 yet. Once everyone is refreshed, Tarn looks around to see if they can go on deeper into the mine.
  13. Tarn made use of the time by sending out a Z-mail letter to Ellaria, more in hope than expectation. He was very pleased to get a reply, one which sent his spirits soaring. By the Gods, maybe his miserable luck with tactics and his axe was now over. He hoped so, for now he wanted to find out the mystery of the missing minerals as quickly as possible. He sent another Z-mail back and then waited in the gloom for his Quest-mates to finish resting.
  14. You all make very good points, which I do agree with. I just opened it up as a topic for debate, as we do not have much to go on at this time.
  15. Tarn was very pleased to get a response from Ellaria, but look perplexed when he'd read it. Ellaria was with child? There had been no indications of this when they Quested together. From the tone of her letter, it did not appear to be planned for. The poor girl, she must be at her wits end, and yet here he was, stuck in this awful mine. As the others still rested, he carefully scribed a response. Dearest Ellaria, I am heartened that my words fall kindly to your ears, I was unsure of the response I would receive, if any. I cannot imagine what you are going through right now, but your pain and suffering comes through clear. I pray to the gods that they will keep you safe and well ere I return from my Quest. I will make it my solemn duty to come and see you and make sure you are set up as comfortably as you can be. I do not know exactly when this will be , but I shall be counting the days until I see you again. You are not in this alone, dear one. You must always remember that. Though the night is dark, there will be another dawn. Yours, Tarn He whispered "I have Z-mail!" with a slight lump in his throat.
  16. So, did we all see those genies or was that just in Great Grandfather Lloyd's vision? And in time honoured tradition, shall we discus what we think would happen if there is no lynch?
  17. After their gruelling fight with the giant spider and its spiderlings, Tarn let the party get some rest before pushing deeper into Silverpick mine. He was a troubled man. The warrior spirit that had carried him boldy through two previous Quests had all but deserted him. Now he seemed reliant on magicks - potions, meads and so forth - to give him back the edge in battle that he was missing. In the last two fights, two of his team-mates had been knocked out. He was leading the party from one disaster into another with no end in sight. Depressed, he thought back to his first quest, where he had been given the honour of being party leader, in Crozen Porthiar's burial chambers. There, he had had the bravery and wisdom of Ellaria guiding him. Ellaria. All his focus then had been on Tesni - the tall, muscular Barbarian woman was an imposing yet invigorating sight for a young man - but it had been the subtle guidance of Ellaria, who had had her own crises of confidence, that had made a real difference to him. He decided to write her a letter explaining this. Under the light of Aberforth's torch, he carefully scribed his words with deep concentration, his tongue out between his lips and his brow furrowed. Dearest Ellaria, I hope this letter finds you well. I am sorry we have not been able to catch up much since battling Crozen Porthiar. I know you have been out on Quests since then, as have I, and our paths have not yet managed to cross once more. Yet you are never far from my thoughts. I miss your guidance and wisdom, your healing ways and your beautiful smile when things go your way. I hope we can get together when I come back from this Quest, perhaps a meal in the Hall. It would be wonderful to see you again. Thinking of you, Tarn He was then compelled to utter the magic words "I've got Z-Mail", and strangely the letter vanished. He went back to brooding, casting a watchful eye in the murk of the mine while his quest-mates rested.
  18. Tarn feels the mead and the smelling salts ebb away once the spider is defeated. He gives one Venom to each team member that does not have one, that being Aberforth, Knifk, and Guts. "That was a tough battle, well done to you Mr Swindle for finishing the pesky critter off. I agree De'kra, perhaps we should regroup and rest up a while. Use bedrolls if you have them. De'kra, use your pickaxe if you wish. I will slot one of my two remaining Meads into my hollow blade and then take out my shovel and dig.
  19. A lovely review, thank you for showing it to us. I'm afraid Dino will get lost in the licenced themes deluge a little bit, especially with prices being high due to the size of the dinosaurs, but the T Rex here does look great! I still find the minifigs a bit bland.
  20. Akio here, not to be confused with Aiko!
  21. Outside of combat, it's one person fully healed per one Ether.
  22. "Great job Mr Swindle. Now you take your potion!". Tarn was encouraged that the party had regained health. Now he prayed he could actually hit the beast. Battle order Aberforth Recommend potion which is why I'm putting you first in the order Tarn Tarn Knifk De'kra Dak In both turns Tarn will attack the Giant Spider from the front row.
  23. I already updated Tarn's age, from 21 to 22 Didn't really think to have any ropleplay aspect to it.
  24. Battle Order Aberforth - Scroll of Sleep Tarn - Potion Tarn - no action De'kra - potion Knifk - suggest potion Dak - suggest cancelling attack and using potion
