"By the Gods!", Tarn grabs hold of the torch-wielding Mage Swindle and manhandles him along the left path. -

I love the scenes of the camp without pooper-scooper Nadir's influence. Especially the pic with Aloysius just letting it all go as he walks! -

"Well, I think we made a meal of those hounds! I apologise to you all. My aim isn't quite right yet, I should have spent more time in the Arena!" OOC: Barbarians regain health after the battle, equivalent to their level, so Tarn would be back to full health. Also as QM, people having multiple weapons with different stat numbers is a real pain when doing the calculations, however dak does have the Mockthril Knife equipped in his signature. Perhaps he should move it to be the first weapon for ease. -

Tarn grimaced in pain as the wolf sinks its jaws into his leg. Wiping away the blood, he raises Kyrferath once again. Tarn will attack Wolf B from the front row. Battle Order: Tarn Valco Knifk De'kra Guts Holla Dak Shadeaux Aberforth Swindle -
Agreed - the POTC Fountain of Youth set based on concept art strikes a chord here. As for the image, generally very happy, but don't like that all the hobbits got the same hairpiece, as it really doesn't suit Sam in particular. Legolas, Gimli, Merry and Pippin really are captured well.

The photography and sets are absolutely stunning. Been a really interesting game to follow so far, well done to everyone! -
Nicely done! I also think Guts' rudeness to the guide in Quest#20 was partly down to Sorrow's betrayal of the group. Or he's just being his usual grouchy self. Either one is possible!

Tarn smiled grimly as he managed to avoid the wolf's attack and then watched it regroup with its kin. "We can take these beasts!" he shouted encouragingly. Tarn will attack Wolf B from the front row. Battle Order: Tarn Valco Knifk De'kra Guts Holla Dak Shadeaux Aberforth Swindle -
Lovely stuff, Bob! The Suburbia mystery game setting had a great feel to it and the Star Trek exploits show off the city nicely

Tarn tries to look reassuringly at the old Mage as he gamely stands next to him with the torch. "That's it, keep that torch steady Mr Swindle. Don't worry, if anything comes at you it'll have to get past me first!", he said, hefting Kyrferath. -

Tarn smiled, thinking fondly of Rystael once again. "It's just Tarn, Valco is an honorific given by the Clerics who raised me." -
Oooh, a challenge Sir Knight? Bring it on, when we are back from Questing.

Tarn turned back to look at Guts. "I'll try not to finish off whatever's there too quickly, and leave some for you! Wouldn't want you to get slow in your old age." -
Yep, Tarn spent pretty much all of Quest#5 staring at Tesni or complimenting her without getting much further than a little bit of small-talk.

Tarn looked across at Dak. He was pleased that the young half-Elf seemed confident and proactive. "Let me go first", he said, watchful for anything that moved. -

Tarn sighed. He could tell that Guts was going to be a problem if he didn't reign in his attitude. He gripped Kyrferath tighly as he headed left with the others, wary and watchful of any hazards. -
Tarn has the honorific of Valco, which is the name of the group of Clerics who raised him from a boy into the hero he is today. He is a very straight-laced good guy, not yet old enough to know how the world works as opposed to how he naively believes it works because he has been told so. I think him and Guts are REALLY going to clash in Quest#20. Tarn is more like a Knight than a stereotypical Barbarian, but the first few days of Heroica character creations had about 6 Knights sign up, and Barbarian powers seemed to fit someone who is foremost a warrior. I asked Sandy very early on if it was OK to have a more refined Barbarian, and of course it was. I had originally decided that Tarn would be a Cleric/Barbarian mix (Shaman) due to being raised by Clerics, however as more of his Knightly qualities come into play during the Quests I might well have him be a Knight/Barbarian hybrid. Fun fact: My iTouch autocorrect changes Tarn into Yarn, I have to look out for it every time!

"Now, now, Guts. Let's have a bit of civility towards our guide. Use your anger against an enemy!" Tarn rebuked the older Rogue. He knew Guts had already been on a mission and wondered how that Party Leader had fared with the surly Guts. With that, Tarn strode confidently into the mine. -

Tarn let the others ask the questions. He had been raised in the Titaan mountains, but by a settlement of human clerics rather than Dwarven miners. He had recently been down a dark burial chamber, so he was prepared for anything they may find in the mine. -
I am really looking forward to Questing with three of the guys I QMed in Quest#13. No hard feelings guys!! Seriously, I know you all have very specific characters to play and you really pay attention to things during a quest so Tarn will just do his normal job of hitting things really hard until they are dead and let you get on with the actual questing.

Tarn was very excited that his latest Quest was taking him back to the mountains of Titaan that he hailed from. He was also pleased to see that the party included the Orc Knight he had faced in the Arena. "Hail fellow adventurers!" he beamed. OOC: my stats are fine. Dak is acting party leader, as I mentioned in the discussion thread I am not able to currently post more than around once a day until Sunday. I would be happy for him to be outright party leader but purely in storyline terms having Tarn as party leader might be good fun. Totally the QMs call. -
Well spotted Bricks, of course your Quest is #22. I have changed it now

Tarn heads to Anwyl with Kyrferath, and asks the smithy to add another hit point a sharper edge to the already fine weapon (WP:9 to WP:10 = 100 gold. 185-100=85). He then goes to Portia's and buys 3 Meads (3x10=30, 85-30=55). He then slots one of the Meads into the hollow blade of his axe, allowing him to use it in the same turn as an attack. Finally Tarn heads to Gnomeo's, and purchases a shovel. You never knew what you would find when you dug around a lot! (55-10=45 gold left)

I'm going to have very limited internet access (possibly none) for the next week, so I would understand if this was a problem and Tarn was not picked for either Quest 20 or 21, but given that neither quest currently has a confirmed start date I won't scrub my name off of the signups. Hope this is OK.
