From that pic, Alf is going to take part in the Olympics?
-
Sounds cool, BAP. I take it this characterisation is a lead-in to your Advanced Class? I'm guessing Battle Mage?
-
...who gets amnesia and flirts with every female in the Hall?

Hey Pie, love McCafferey's speech to Atramor. I have to admit, from Tarn's dealings with him in Quest#11, I think she's being a bit harsh. Atramor did the right thing then. There wasn't a chance to talk down the Order. They were fanatics.

I liked the Ellaria > Tarn > Tesni love triangle and had planned on Tarn reciprocating Ellaria's feelings later. But I guess Sandy has something a bit more dramatic in mind, which is cool. Be interesting to see where that goes.

The pics are just... I have no words. This line is everything I wanted!

Coming soon to Heroica: Who's Your Daddy? Seriously, it's not Tarn. He's a gentleman first, Barbarian second.
-
Just to echo everyone else; I really like the Heroica index, Sandy. Great work on the banners. It'll be very useful as a 'one-stop shop' for putting in signatures etc.

"Left is is!" Tarn heads left, gripping Kyrferath tightly. Team Bait is on the move once again! -
Hey, I didn't write it! Tell that to Tanma

...so you have to highlight it if you want to read it. It's like a spoiler protection thing.

Heroica RPG - Quest #20: Missing Minerals!
Rumble Strike replied to UsernameMDM's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: Sorry, it's actually a sleep one. I've listed it in my inventory as a Spell of Sleep in error (actually Pie's error in my previous Quest, just read up on it again!) but it's definitely a Scroll. Enables casting the sleep-effect to the target, forcing it to miss its turn for three rounds or until woken up by an attack. Each casting costs 1 ether. Usable only by mages and clerics. Value: 50 gold Tarn gives the Scroll of Sleep to Aberforth. -
Heel Face Turn is when a bad guy turns good. It's a wrestling term.

Tarn stepped between "Dak" and Guts. "No-one is hitting anyone over the head. There are probably still hundreds of double-powered bad guys in this mine ready to do that for us! Now, like Guts suggested a while back, I think we should all rest up for a while before we go on any further." -
Genius, Tanma!
-
Don't worry Tanma, he does this every Quest! Your portrayal of De'kra is very unique and consistent.

Tarn looked at the empty Phoenix Essence vial with a puzzled frown. It appeared that the magical substance hadn't fully restored the Rogue. His faculties were obviously missing. They had made Dak into a halfwit! -
The Fellowship of the Ring

Great work, very interesting to see your customs and the upcoming figures. Boromir's face is from the Pirates of the Caribbean Admiral Norrington figure. A favourite of mine, so I recognised it straightaway. -
I guess in terms of my character, roleplay and characterisation are foremost for me rather than maxing out stats. I admit, Tarn does have an elemental hollow-bladed WP: 10 axe which is very useful for his class, but that's just come through the quests I've been in rather than any great plan. I do agree that at the higher ranges, it's probably better to load up on Meads, Smelling Salts etc than it is spending a lot of gold to go up one weapon power. I put Kyrferath up to 10 so the maths were easier for everyone!

OOC: I should regenerate 11 health back after the fight, as my Barbarian trait, also my Phoenix Essence should be removed from the list. Smiling, Tarn gives the potion and 15 gold to Aberforth. "Here, take these, you have a true warrior spirit about you." That leaves 50 gold, and Tarn then gives the remaining team members 10 gold each. "Well fought, heroes. That was a tougher battle than we thought. I admit, I may have been a bit complacent, being back in my homelands. I will try harder to keep us all safe so that we can complete the quest ahead of us. We need to all be pulling together and working as a team. Speaking of which, it has been very remiss of me, I am carrying an artefact from my previous Quest that I cannot use, but perhaps Mr Swindle can." Tarn rummages through his pack and pulls out a scroll. He hands the Scroll of Sealing Enables casting the sealed-effect to the target, making it unable to use a special skill for the next three rounds. Each casting costs 1 ether. Usable only by mages and clerics. to Aberforth, along with a Tonic to replenish Ether. OOC: I realised during the fight that there's absolutely no reason for me to be carrying these, I should have given them to our Mage right at the start. Apologies! -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Conclusion

From an observer's perspective: An absolutely riveting read all the way through. Fantastic photography, great references and lots of saucy postcard humour. Loved it! Well done to the hosts and to everyone who took part. -

OOC: OK, I'll get Dak up - leave no man or Elf behind, after all. I think we have enough firepower to cope without Tarn attacking getting hit for a turn! Tarn let go a shout of triumph as his axe finally sliced into the Brigand with a satisfying squelch. He then turned to his fallen comrade, and used his Phoenix Essence on Dak. Battle Order: Tarn Knifk De'kra Guts Aberforth Dak -
Hi Sandy! The wording and terminology is absolutely fine and gets across very well what the Shaman is capable of as an advanced class. My "roleplay" issue around it is the "blood ritual/blood magic" stuff, which really wouldn't fit into my character and seems to draw much more from the wild Barbarian archetype than the more cultured Cleric class.

OOC: Pros for reviving Dak: -Dak will gain xp for the fight -Dak will be at full health - if not revived, will awaken at just 1 health point, with no Cleric in the party to heal him fully, reliant then on potions Cons for reviving Dak: -Only one Phoenix Essence in the party, no idea if we will be able to replenish -Battle is almost over -Will take up a turn for Tarn I'm for using the Phoenix Essence on Dak, but am happy to hear any thoughts. -
Looks like Tarn will be the only Shaman, possibly because it's not as sexy as some of the other Barbarian/x advanced classes? I have to admit, I don't actually like some of the terminology used in the traits and abilities, they don't feel quite right, but I can't let that put me off, I can roleplay any issues out.
