Heroica RPG - Quest #20: Missing Minerals!
Rumble Strike replied to UsernameMDM's topic in The Heroica Archive
Fighting further away from the enemy was completely alien to Tarn, but he knew the older man was right. Tarn had to be smarter now, a strategist rather than a blunt instrument. Rystael would have wanted it that way too, for Tarn to think about the bigger picture. Tarn will attack the Brigand from the back row. Battle Order: Knifk Tarn De'kra Aberforth Guts -
Don't remind me! The amount of Shields and Criticals you guys got was staggering. You blew through most of the hard battles I set up!

Apart from Tarn joining the ranks of De'kra, Maurice, Eric and Nerwen in the 'we should have gone to Specsavers' ranks, I have to admit I should have picked up on the double damage thing earlier! I guess it was just shock.

Tarn's miserable luck with his axe continues. The ever-dangerous Brigand again slicing him open, leaving a puddle of blood to mix with the dirt on the mine floor. "Should I revive Dak this round instead?" he asked the others in a weary growl. -

Tarn let out an anguished cry as he saw Dak fall. Here he was, taking a potion to keep himself alive and all he had to do was watch one if his party fall. Well no more. No more. With a steely set to his jaw, Tarn attacks the brigand from the front row. Battle order: Tarn Knifk De'kra Guts Aberforth -
On the first page of Heroica Hall, there are Quests listed. You have to sign up for them. The only open one currently is recommended for levels 10 and above, though.

Tarn cursed under his breath as he failed to hit the Brigand yet again. He decided that at least two of their foes looked in good shape still, and decided to take a potion. Battle order: Knifk De'kra Guts Dak Aberforth Tarn -

OOC: A Barbarian taking a potion? I don't know, I'm supposed to be the heavy hitter of the group, taking a potion robs us of that for a turn. -

Tarn shook his head to try and clear the pain away. Two fights now and he had barely touched an opponent. Either he was rusty, or he just wasn't as good as he thought he was. Putting away such dark thoughts, he concentrated hard on his attack. Tarn will attack the Brigand from the front row. Battle order Tarn Knifk Guts De'kra Dak Aberforth -
JimB, love the end of your Quest. If Atticus survives this, him and Haroka would make quite a potent force!

From what I read on Brickset, they only ship the boxes in plastic bags, so crushed/split open boxes were common.

"I had a feeling we'd be running into more trouble!" grinned Tarn, Kyrferath flashing in the light of Swindle's torch. Tarn will attack the Brigand from the front row. Battle order Tarn Knifk Guts De'kra Dak Aberforth -

Tarn spoke cheerily to Dak, "Hey, If I'm gonna get attacked by something I'd rather face it head on, like that wolfhound from earlier that nearly got a nip in at me before we dispatched them. That seems like days ago now!" -
That makes sense, I was wracking my brains so hard trying to place it that I called Cronk "Crock" in my post above. No offense to our new Paladin!

Tarn strode down the left passage, with Aberforth Swindle hurrying to keep up, then Knifk, and finally a motley procession of Rogues some way behind. He turned back to the others and said, "Come on, I know you are Rogues but you can't all hide at the back!" -
I love Crock's angel! Where's the green female torso from, Sandy?

Soccerkid, I enjoyed Questing with Sir Glorfindel in Quest#11 and am sorry to see you leave. I would hope that you reconsider as this is just a fun game to pass the time, and not actually anything magical.

I did smile when I saw Ratabor again, love seeing the NPCs in different quests.

Welcome Katie, I'm glad we have someone here who can keep a proper eye on Eric Just kidding DN!

Loving the close-up pics. These figs are packing a lot of detail without going too far.

Tarn felt his mind wandering as he headed down the left hand path, with the Mage's torch offering light. He thought of Ellaria in his first Quest in the Burial chamber, her willingness to hold the torch when they were entering a dark place. He wondered how she was doing - their paths had not really crossed since the successful completion of that quest. If the Brickshelf issue is causing the delay, why not just give a description of what's down the left path and put the pictures in later? That's what Zepher does. -
Absolutely love the Uruk-Hai! Great stuff. The minifigs look much better here than in the previous promotional pic of the Fellowship. I really can't wait to get my hands on these

I went to Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, for a winter holiday, and our hotel was located in a national park, meaning lots of unspoilt sand-dunes to wander about in, looking for nice shots with my POTC The Mill figures: A forlorn Norrington in the desert Will Turner takes on Hadras The compass isn't helping Jack here, he's completely lost! A cheerier Norrington explores a rock formation I also took a boat (from the Loot Island set) and tried putting it in the sea. For some reason I loaded the thing up with minifigs as well as the chest containing the heart of Davy Jones. Very difficult to take good pics, but there were a couple which showed the waves off quite nicely. I was worried for Jack and Will's safety! For more pics from other locations, check out my Flickr page. Thanks for looking!

Tarn looked at the Mage and brushed down the older man. "Sorry Mr Swindle, but I had to make a decision and needed the torch to come with me. We weren't going to get far standing at the intersection and trying to listen out for things."
