Tarn re-enters the Hall after a long absence. He sees that the Hall is mostly empty, but wanders over to the Quest Board regardless. He signs his name in a spidery yet elegant script below Quest#50 and Quest#51, noticing that Tesni had also signed up for the 108 Stars of Destiny Quest. He would like the chance to fight alongside her once again.
"Reveling in her super strength and flight, the enigmatic Liberty soars above Bricktropolis, seeking out any villains that threaten her once-fair city..."
I have to admit I didn't read any of #37, why do you believe they are similar?
And Zeph, thanks for the shoutout for the Maginastra in the NPC Index, I am glad people like him as a character.
The quality of MOCs, battles and inventive enemies just get better and better from the QMs. It's great to see but it adds a lot of pressure I wish I hadn't taken a year to finish off this story because everything has moved on so fast and I'm worried that mine will feel really 'old fashioned'..
Perhaps the MegaBloks comparisons are because the theme has a resemblance to a recent Dragon-ish MegaBloks line which I can't remember the name of. It had flying bird like vehicles similar to these. I do appreciate that the vehicles here are brick-built which is great. I will certainly be looking to pick up several of these sets.
I really like the Batboat set. Great Minifigs in Aquaman and Mister Freeze, and a sensible Batman costume variant to go in a nice-looking boat. That's a superb all-round set, and a definite buy.
I get a bit of a Toy Story vibe from these pics, probably the cartoony looks and the primary colours. I would imagine that this is replacing Spongebob as the Nickolodeon licence?
Really like the Police Chase set, the big SUV and the red sports car are lovely. Rest of the sets aren't all that exciting, the museum was a bit of a wasted opportunity - would have liked more museum and less vehicles. I came out of my dark age a couple of years ago and can see why many are not excited by yet more police and fire vehicles, although the burning house set is probably the pick of the bunch.
Flipz, Roni flips between genders during the description. You might want to fix that. Most of the time she's a girl, but there are a couple of times "he" is used. Er, unless that's intentional for some reason, then ignore everything I just wrote!
I am busy building sets and photographing them for my new quest. It has been approved by Sandy but because so many of the peeps from my first two quests are currently out and about I am going to wait to put the signups up.
Anyway to whet your appetites, here's a teaser for it:
Let me know what you think
I'm not really into the train stuff but this set is absolutely gorgeous. Great pieces, nice Minifigs and a good price too, this may well be my first train
