As the others watched on, Maurice gingerly opened the door of the black box. It didn't creak open, it was very smooth. Inside, all he could see was a pink and yellow light. With a glance back to the others, Maurice stepped inside, and vanished.

It appears to be a door, but it's not attached to anything in the warehouse as far as they can see.

The bottle is labelled Spring Water from the glorious Eubric Mountains, and as far as Sorrow can tell, that's what it contains.

I'd planned this part of the quest, and then there was a comment about how much health/SP/Specials a normal rat will have one day and Sandy said something like "By the time you are in your advanced classes, QMs shouldn't be getting you to kill rats." So my "bedding the QM in" rat battle hasn't happened!

Sorrow inspects the large barrel, seeing something grey in there: Rats! At least two of them! And they look quite hungry, although they don't attack the party, because that would be a bit lame - starting with a battle involving rats, and not what the party signed up for at all.

OOC: Endgame, Animal Talk is not one of the traits you gain as a Ranger hybrid. The spider does not answer the undead Assassin. It just sits there, looking at him.

"It is not my place to enter," said the enigmatic Tolot. Realising that they could only go in, Guts opened the doors... They entered the warehouse: It was piled high with stuff. What will the party do?

Tarn wondered if the pagoda was upwards or downwards from where they were. He thinks they should be heading towards it, at any rate.

"You will find only what you bring with you!" said Tolot, just to get on the undead's nerves, assuming he has them.

We remained in contact for a while, but have heard nothing for a troubling amount of time, especially with the rumours about this tower suddenly appearing. We believe the Dark General Haroka and his Inquisitors to be behind this. Our town has unfinished business with him, which is what possessed Hlin to go off in the first place. Since almost losing Vell, he wants to right all the wrongs in the world, a task beyond just one man. But hopefully you will be able to find him and the others. Do you have any questions? Tarn grinned as well at Namyrra's comment. Apart from Tesni, who he had Quested with before, he didn't know the other members of his party very well, save for brief glances in the Hall. He looked at both Hybros and Namyrra and asked, "So where are you two from?", trying to get a conversation going whilst the airship was in flight.

Yeah, I couldn't resist namedropping the quest title. I knew Phil took over but couldn't remember if Septrine was still Emperor too Quest#52 peeps, great roleplaying already in the Hall. I will go with Guts as Party Leader. Like I said, I didn't want to burden anyone with the role myself. Having it done this way, in character, is nicely organic. It bodes well for teh rest of the Quest, I can't wait to get started! Which will be in about 5 hours or so from this post, so keep an eye out.

Yes, I nearly picked Raider because it had an AoE shield roll. Hacking down many enemies in one go was a true Barbarian trait as I see it. Feels wrong to give it up.

Tarn had a wide smile on his face as the Destiny's Bounty took off. Never had he experienced such a rush as to actually be flying in the airship. He had been nervous before, but now that they were soaring magestically above the world, all he felt was excitement. He looked down, and just made out the mountains of Titaan, his home. Rystael would be amazed to hear of this!

"We were not meant to fly; we are not Rito, or dragons!" said Tarn, remembering the winged race and Vipera from Dastan. "Nevertheless, if this method of transport will get us to our goal quickly, then for teh good of the Quest I shall not complain again."

"You mean we are really going up in the sky? I have never heard of such a thing!" said Tarn, indignant and slightly scared, although he was trying not to show it in front of Tesni.

Tarn shook the Imp's hand in a warrior's handshake. "Thank you Hybros, well met." He took the offered grand potion and slotted it into the hollowed chamber in his battle axe, Helbaerend. "Apolgies, party leader. Since my return from Dastan I have spent my gold on armour rather than consumables. I hope that this was not short-sighted of me. Also, how are we really getting to Jun?" He could not quite understand about the airship.

"Yes, we should depart, as we have a lot of ground to cover in this, uh, air-ship. That makes it sound like it flies, which is impossible, obviously. So how are we really getting to the pagoda?"

Yeah, I love the fact all the heroes are present in the pics, makes it even more immersive.
