I'm going to vote Nay.

Tarn responded to Althior. "I was to be a Shaman, to follow the path of my mentor and honour his order, but events in Dastan have given me pause. I fight so much better when in a rage that Bezerker may be a better choice for me to fulfill my best efforts as a hero." He smiled at Nyx as she gave back his Scroll, and blushed when she spoke of Ella. "I greatly admire her, and it would be nice to see her again when things are less chaotic. Perhaps it was only the perils of war that drew us closer together, she has a destiny far greater than mine will ever be."
-
"Althior! It is good to see you! Dastan was an incredible place, rich in history and it's peoples are fierce and loyal. We helped save many key people within the Empire, but still lost others who are greatly missed. I know I did my very best there, and learned so much, and yet back here now, I cannot seem to decide what to do next, either for Advanced Classes or Quests."

Tarn entered the Hall and sat down near Atramor. He felt weary. He knew that they had done great things in Dastan, and as a team they had all worked very well, but for now he was tired and unsure of the future. He did not know what class to learn as for his advanced training, nor the Quests he should sign up for next. It was as though the months in Dastan had made him so focused on the tasks at hand, that now they were gone, he did not know what to do. He sipped a well-deserved ale and hoped that inspiration would find him soon. Rystael would have laughed him out of the village had his cleric mentor known of Tarn's indecision.

What can I say about the Quest that hasn't been said already? It's by far the longest Quest I have ever been on, but it went along at a good pace. We were confused a lot of the time, but we always tried to make the best decisions using the information we had at the time. Because of the simultaneous nature of the three Quests, sometimes enemies kinda popped in but we as a group didn't really know who they were, especially early on. I don't feel we were heavily railroaded, as a QM I know that if you have a story to tell, you sometimes need to hurry the players along. The fact that 2 other Quests were happening at the same time compounded this, but was totally worth it for the times we were all able to fight together (and each other). I was really lucky to be picked with such a great group of dedicated roleplayers. I know in the past I've said Tarn is boring, and I loved the verbal jab Wren gave him when they first met, she was so dismissive! But in this Quest, this is where it all came together for him. Being able to play off Atramor was brilliant, as they have got on in a previous Quest and in the Hall, and he's reallly almost a pariah so it makes for some interesting interactions. Almost like an odd couple. I'm not sure if Atramor actually cares for anyone else but I know Tarn thinks very highly of him for his unique take on things. I really enjoyed Tarn's banter with Nyx too, I feel there was a genuine spark of camaraderie between them that was played up by both of us. And the NPCs, they each had quirks or goals that they wanted and that gives a roleplayer some good ammunition. I loved Tarn's battle speeches to Sphinx, it's where he really found his voice, and I liked the way he was portrayed as an honourable foe, it was very refreshing to see that. There were a lot of events that happened that will define Tarn's character from now on - the death of Constance and his role in it, the heroism of Phil, the loss of U'Stus, his feelings for Ella - and that's full credit to Zeph for having the vision to allow all that to happen. Thank you to everyone who took part in this, in all the Quests. It was an incredible experience to be part of it and I am actually quite sad it is all over.

Same happened to me in my first Quest. I just had Thug A and Thug B, and Chromeknight called them Artie and Bert

Heroica RPG - Quest #30: Ambassadors to Dastan
Rumble Strike replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Tarn sighed as he left Dastan with the heroes he now considered friends. They had won the day, all of them, although the path had been long and sometimes brutal. He touched his cheek, feeling the warmth of the kiss that Ella had given him, and wondered if he would see her again. Zeph, I think something may be up with my extrordinary high health and my middling gold balance! -

"I admire your conviction on this, Mr Thothwick, but I still feel Phil is a better choice. We have all fought alongside him and know how much he cares for his homeland. The U'Kin will be in turmoil with the deaths of U'Stus and U'Vires. It is a big step for a U'Kin to be Head of the Dragon Knights. I believe it is a great starting point for a more inclusive Dastan. I think promoting a U'Kin we don't personally know to this key position would be the wrong thing to do." -
I am loving the roleplay from all my Quest#30 compadres, it's really good stuff.

"Assuming the Emperor must be from Dastan, which rules any of us out, then I agree that Phil - Victor as you know him here - embodies the heart and spirit of this great land. He should be chosen." -
You're not counting the Ancient Crown?

Sorry guys, I'm feeling a bit maudlin tonight which means Tarn is even more taciturn than usual. Zeph, let me know if it's OK to hit on the Emperor's daughter

Tarn looked around, at his friends from Heroica and the good people from Dastan. His gaze lingered most on Ella, but what chance would he have with a daughter of an Emperor, a prophet who had been marked by a lunatic. In the silence, he had no words. His deeds done, for better or worse, were his legacy. -

I notice Tarn wasn't trusted with another Bomb XX after his last one Tarn took the gold and the U'Kin amulet from Skrall, and thanked the Ogre. He stood away from the others, and said a silent prayer for U'Stus as he held the amulet tightly. -
Also would be very handy for a Raider! In fact, I'd Make Tarn be one if he was given it Ah, looks like Xander is going to be a Raider. Great choice!

OK, so that's why it not available to Barbarians then

I love the thought you have put in to the items, Dastan QMs, but does anyone else think that the Sword of Ancestral Hatred is overpowered?

Tarn helped haul Phil to his feet, and hugged the older man. Phil looked uncomfortable. "We did it!" He saw Ella arrive, with the heroes who had rescued her, and went to hug her, but thought better of it. "I am pleased to see you safe, my lady." -

I don't think you calculated the doubled hit on XX, as he's weak to water? Growling a Titaanian war-cry learned from the warrior clerics who raised him, Tarn smashed the enemies in front of him with Halbaerend, before locking eyes on XX racing at him from the front row, battle axe held high. -
I really like the campfire songs and stories in Quest#42. Got a real Tolkien vibe from the short song, and Eric's tale was epically Norse!

Tarn winced as he missed his target. Although he had been healed several times, the sheer length of time they had been fighting was beginning to wear on him. He felt a lot older than he was. It felt like he had aged 30 years whilst in Dastan. He lifts Helbaerend this time and attacks XX from the front row. -
That car is fabulous! I would suspect that we will get a Lego City Undercover subline to go with the game. It's the perfect promotional/marketing device for Lego City, and unlike the other TT Lego games, they have no licensors to worry about regarding builds or characters and their depictions.

A lovely review as always Pandora. I do love some of the more unusual colours available here, it's what drew me to the Cars sets too. The horses are named in the Lego blurb you provided at the start of the review - Champion, Foxy and Sunshine.

Tarn's smile was wide as he deftly wielded Lion's Heart against all of his opponents. The stun on XX was particularly sweet, given all the fire he had sent Tarn's way during this quest. Tarn ached to follow Atramor, his comrade in arms for this whole quest, and help rescue Ella, but he knew that he still had a job to do here, and rescuing Emperor Sepretine was it. He readied Lion's Heart once again, feeling the power of the blade run all the way along his arm, and focussed on XX from the front row, knowing that he was stunned and could not send any more fire his way. He had had enough of being burned. -
I just checked Quest#32, and I did state that Ve'er was North West of Eubric, so placing it on the road to R'klif would be perfect.
