Rumble Strike

It's not in my best interests to point this out, but it's the right thing to do. You did not take into account the Encouraged status of the Commander when calculating Tarn's damage. It should be 30/2-2 rather than 15/2-2.

Tarn was slightly dazed, and bleeding from the hits he had taken in this vast, sprawling, never-ending battle. So he assumed it was a trick his mind was playing on him when all around him and the other heroes arrayed alongside him, pink z-mail letters appeared. For a split second he thought that Ellaria may have contacted him. He had been away in Dastan for what seemed like months, and he hoped she and her beautiful baby were OK. It wasn't Ellaria. Rather it was from Heroica, an invitation to join in a lottery. Normally in the midst of battle Tarn would have dismissed this completely, but he had failed time and again with his attacks, so realised he had nothing to lose. He scrawled his name in his own blood onto the reverse of the pink letter and watched it disappear once again through the magic of z-mail, before focussing on the battle once more.

I'm getting a real Eeyore vibe from Pigley, he's so morose. Which makes Russel the swashbuckling crab Tigger!

Tarn spat out a glob of blood and smiled wanly at his friend. "I have naught left to give in battle except this body, Atramor. Gratitude for attempting to heal me, but I do not think it will make much difference in the long run." Hauling himself up, he wobbles slightly before running at Rogue Lion Commander D from the back row, holding up Lion's Heart. He spoke louder, to the rest of his fellow heroes in the throne room. "Remember that our foes are once again encouraged and will hit us harder. If it will draw out the battle, then fight from the back row."

Tarn frowns as De'kra clicks a mixture of familiar and unfamiliar names at him. "Thank you De'kra. I know William is a stout fellow and I trust any hero here will do their best to rescue Ella. I will try and keep Mr Thothwick safe but him and Atramor do not appear to get on well." He then responded to the Mage, Arthur: "I know Ella has had several visions recently. She foresaw that attack of the Chimera and this actual battle. I do not believe she spoke of you specifically."

I love the heroes that are on Quests attempts to roleplay the ridiculous sight of the pink letters popping up everywhere. Dastan must be under several feet of paper by now! Good luck everyone

Tarn looked across at the Elven Knight. "Ella is a noble and brave woman who's visions have aided us immensely here in Dastan, she is certainly not 'useless'. It breaks my heart to not be helping to rescue her, but I know I must fulfill my role here and start putting down these Commanders ere we all perish."

Tarn speaks in a low whisper to those heroes in the throne room. "Our enemies are all encouraged, it would be most unwise to fight from the front for this round. We cannot have more heroes fall after losing Phil."

Tarn watched in anguish as he missed his strike and Phil went down. To see such a brave and honourable man fall, and be unable to do anything about it... He vowed to redouble his efforts and once again attacked Rogue Lion Commander C with Lion's Heart, but this time from the back row, wary of his enemies' encouraged state.

Noticing his target was actually Hexed by Atramor, Tarn switching his focus to attacking Rogue Lion Commander D from the front row, brandishing Lion's Heart.

"OK, OK. It is just that I have come to greatly admire her within the time we have spent here in Dastan. I will trust the other heroes will keep her safe, and in the meantime cleave in two any who get in my way!" Finishing his speech with a snarl, Tarn launched himself at Rogue Lion Commander B from the front row, brandishing Lion's Heart.

"There are six of us to fight five foes, when elsewhere the odds are not in the other heroes favour. Of these 5 enemies, 2 are Hexed and 1 is Stunned. Now would be an ideal time to split our force." OOC: This is mainly RP for Tarn, I don't think he would put everyone in danger by leaving suddenly, but I can't shake the feeling we have chosen to make a stand in the wrong place and the real battles are passing us by.

"If there is to be a party rescuing Ella, I would like to be in it!" called Tarn over the communication they all shared thanks to Vipera. "I will not let her be taken." OOC: As CMP said, Rogue Lion Commnader A should be stunned as it was a successful hit on him. Also none of those Commanders should be encouraged now.

Tarn cries out in frustration as he misses again with Lyon's dsword. He wonders if the sword is cursed, but before he can shrug that thought off, Vipera's communications tell him that Ella has been taken by the Chaos Beasts. "We need to rescue Ella!" he puffed, as he targetted Rogue Lion Commander A from the front row with Lion's Heart.

Zeph, I have to say that Quest 41 has started fantastically. I think a swashbuckling crab with a sword is possibly the greatest thing I have ever seen! I have no idea how you are running three Quests simultaneously with such a vast array of wonderful characters.

Tarn follows his friend's advice and targets Rogue Lion Commander E from the back row using Lion's Heart, hoping that he has gotten used to the feel of the blade now.

Relieved to finally have foes in front of him, Tarn attacks Rogue Lion Knight Commander B with Lion's Heart from the front row. "Let us see what this sword can do against it's former masters!"

"I don't like waiting for the enemy whilst our friends are already fighting for their lives!", growled Tarn, experimentally swinging Lion's Heart to get a feel for the new blade.

Thanks for adding in the enemy locations, makes it a lot easier for everyone, hopefully! It's taking a long time for me to wrap my head around the whole concept, I'll admit, but it has been fun so far, a bit cat and mouse.

I didn't want to break your game by having Tarn beat up everything in his way to get to Ella and then rescue her. In one turn That would be a hell of a bolded action!

"We fight alongside each other once again!" said Tarn to Phil as he slotted his Remedy into the hollow blade of his axe. "What ever happens this day it has been an honour to battle by your side."

The sound of enemies closing in gets louder as Tarn continues northwards. Are the red bits on the map the stairs? Are we heading for those, CMP?

Tarn takes a swing with Helbaerend at the Chimera Guard following him from the front row. I can't tell which Chimera Guard that is, or whether it is damaged If I knew it was damaged I could attack from the back row. Perhaps enemies should have a Location stat?

I'm glad we have a few people who know what they're doing in this final battle!
