  1. OOC: basically I can slot any consumable into the hollow blade and use it whilst still being able to attack in the same turn. Tarn looked at his fellow heroes. He knew Haldor and Benji from being in the Hall, although he had never Quested with them. The newer heroes were a bit of a mystery to him.
  2. This quest is just what Tarn needs. Although I bet now he has switched from Bezerker we will only be facing one enemy at a time. Looking forward to it CJP
  3. Tarn addressed the worried men. "Fear not, We heroes of Heroica shall scour this island for these lizards for you. Do you have any idea where they may have gone?" While he was talking, the Raider slotted his Phoenix Essence into his hollow bladed axe so that he could use it whilst attacking. OOC: Stats are all fine
  4. "Fear not Bors, I am on my way!" Tarn left the Hall to join the Quest.
  5. I understand completely. Tarn always went the upgrade route too. Don't make me feel bad about keeping the mask now that it's been incorporated into Tarn's new look
  6. It's not about making the most money, it's about making money in a short amount of time. Tarn has never been well off, and walking into that pagoda with no consumables was incredibly stupid and certainly blunted his effectiveness.
  7. Tarn smiled, the noble mask making the gesture look far more sinister than intended. "Indeed so, my dear Tesni. I fear that the way of the Bezerker was not for me. I missed the Frenzy we Barbarians used to get into. Being a Raider restores that, and should also help my gold reserves, which have been meagre of late. Hopefully I will be more prepared for a renewed assault on the pagoda, should it occur."
  8. Tarn wanders back into the Hall, fresh from his Training Room and Marketplace exploits. He takes the time to carefully sign his name against Quest#67: Nova Tertia before sitting down once again.
  9. We'll see how useful it is on the next quest. It may be that it will help me get Sticky Gloves, which I can then equip as my 3rd artefact.
  10. Tarn decided not to quibble about the 2 gold that Fabian had mysteriously knocked off the sale price, and handed over the Sand Worm Hide, receiving 40 gold in return. In addition, he sold his Heavy Armour back to Fabian for 115 gold, which was half the price he had originally bought it for. Tarn's gold= 169 + 40 + 115 = 324 He then went to Elphaba, and bought an Amethyst for 100 gold. 324 - 100 = 224 He then went to Anwyl and sold his Robust Shield (SP: 8) for 40 gold, his Shield (SP: 5) for 25 gold and his Wooden Spear (WP: 3) for 15 gold. 224 + 40 + 25 + 15 = 304 He then asked the smithie to merge the Amethyst into Lion's Heart and his Scroll of Weakness into his Darksteel Armour, knowing each merge would cost 50 gold. 304 - 50 - 50 = 204 Lastly, he stepped across to Portia and purchased 2 x Mead for 30 gold, 1 x Smelling Salts for 25 gold, 2 x Nostrum for 70 gold, 1 x Phoenix Essence for 50 gold and 2 x Grand Potion for 20 gold. 204 - 30 - 25 - 70 - 50 - 20 = 9 gold left His business concluded, he left the Marketplace, scowling at Fabian for stiffing him on the 2 gold pieces which would have allowed him to buy another Grand Potion.
  11. Glad you all approve, I think he looks really distinctive! Thank you again to Sandy for doing such a fantastic job, I really appreciate it!
  12. Tarn heads to Fabian's and asks him if his previous offer for the Sand Worm Hide was still on the table. He had rushed off to a quest before getting a reply from the slightly creepy salesman.
  13. No, just something mask-ish for the face. I already don't have the Darksteel armour to use for Tarn anyway, which Scuba said was a Black Falcon's one from the Kingdom's Joust set. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas before I had a good rummage through my minifig bin. edit That's fantastic Sandy! Thank you It works great as Tarn's still managed to keep his beard!
  14. I have decided to go Raider with Tarn, based on his appalling performance in his last Quest. I will update my avatar soon as he is still carrying a shield. The noble mask was Cannibal Jack Sparrow's face, which I don't have, so can anyone recommend me something similar? I like the Death Eater masked head but the only one I have is flesh-coloured.
  15. Tarn bumped into Namyrra as she left the Training Room, and apologised to the Fenerian with a low bow. It seemed he was not the only hero who felt a change of class would be beneficial. "What can I do for you? Are you not happy following the ways of the Bezerker?" Tarn shook his head. "As a Barbarian, I could go into a frenzy and take on multiple opponents. My blood sings to do that again. I have found the Bezerker's narrow focus to be slightly limiting." "Then you should train as a Raider, my boy." Tarn nodded, already focused on the objective. Tarn Valco (Rumble Strike) 22 year old human male Raider Level 22 *Natural Respite* Power: 35 (22+13) Defense: 7 (6+1) Health: 38/38 (7+21+7+3) Gold: 169 Equipment: Lion’s Heart (WP: 13, stun-effect; greatsword), Darksteel Armor (SP:6, Max. 16. Tarn thanked his team-mates for the gold, pocketed it and headed out of the Hall. He had an appointment with the Copper Fox.
  17. I think Patricia might just be my favourite NPC of all time. So withering! Quest#66 is gonna be heaps of fun, I can tell.
  18. Absolutely stunning. Helm's Deep is the most expensive/biggest set I have ever bought, but this will be a real display piece. Pricey but so worth it for the size.
  19. Loves the Tower of Orthanc!

    1. Kintobor

      Kintobor

Looks like I'll be forever alone...

  20. "Sorry my friend, I would rather keep it. I have no need of additional weaponry, even to sell. I have several items that I will be selling on anyway, as I will not be able to use shields once I train to be a Raider."
  21. Yeah Sandy vetoed the SP on the antlers but was fine with a more roleplay-orientated secondary.
  22. Yeah, and Sandy doesn't like stuff having both WP and SP these days, as you could simply take the bear claws and upgrade both things.
  23. Tarn sifted through Haldor's pile, but nothing caught his eye. "I am sorry, Haldor, but I see nothing here I would rather have."
  24. Failed Quests - Donny Dozenhands, The Darkstar, 108 Bandits for sure. I have been involved in 2 of those.
  25. "Misunderstandings happen, my friend, especially when such a big pile is simply dumped on a table. What would you offer for the mask, although I must confess I am heartily in need of gold myself?"
