Rumble Strike replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Tarn shakes off the effects of the Stun and wields Lion's Heart against Nine-tattooed Dragon from the back row. -

Tarn grinned as he struck the tiger once more. "Bad kitty!" Using Helbaerend he attacked the Golden-eyed Tiger, changing the row to the front row. If he is defeated before Tarn can attack him, he will use Lion's Heart on the Goddess from the front row. If she is dead, he will use Lion's Heart on the Dragon from the back row. -
Arthur's spine should be SP:-1, surely?

Heroica RPG - Quest #50: 108 Stars of Destiny
Rumble Strike replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Stifling a cry as he saw his party leader go down, yet also seeing the pale-skinned Evoker rush to his aid, Tarn once more held Helbaerend aloft and attacked the Golden-eyed Tiger from the back row. If he is defeated before Tarn can attack him, he will attack Whirlwind in the same way. If both are dead, he will use Lion's Heart on the Goddess from the front row. If she is dead, he will use Lion's Heart on the Dragon from the back row. -
You can then go back for your sea monster!

OOC: Thanks for the clarification, Sandy. Also, Tarn was in the back row, so would only do normal damage (halved back row attack evened out by double elemental damage.) Tarn once again holds Helbaerend and aims at Golden Eyed Tiger from the back row. If the Tiger is killed before he can attack, he will attack the Whirlwind in the same way. If both are dead, he will do nothing. -
I think modifying the description to "Each successful attack turn" is fair. So if you are hastened and hit an enemy twice, you'd get +3 health twice.

OOC: Oh my! Business just picked up for the Bandits. Sandy, would being Stunned stop the Goddess's passive special? Tarn felt fear creep into the pit of his stomach as he surveyed the Goddess and her cohorts. Summoning a picture of Ella in his mind, he took Helbaerend and aimed at Golden Eyed Tiger from the back row. If the Tiger is killed before he can attack, he will attack the Whirlwind in the same way. If both are dead, he will do nothing. -
When I gave you the item you couldn't do multiple hits, Scuba. As you know in Quest#52 I always counted it as one +3 health increase even if you got a Ravage, but given how things like Lion's Heart worked when Tarn was a Barbarian (Frenzy Stunned every enemy) I guess Sandy's interpretation is valid too.

Thanks for the feedback, Bob. I have managed to win my last two games as a vanilla Townie, surviving to the end. I know that means that I'm not seen as a threat to anyone, but hey, I'll take the wins. I didn't like being under suspicion and was frustrated by how everything gets twisted to be a "scum tell". No wonder so many Townies get lynched in EB Mafias generally! All in all, I think I like the idea of Mafia games more than the reality of them. They do wind me up.

"I would welcome a hit from the healing staff, fair Cinna. I doubt you pack as much of a wallop as Nyx, but be gentle!" -
Cracking rap battle there. Someone needs to make a comic out of it!

Crikey, I must be the only guy that wings everything when it comes to enemy names, stats and drops. I don't tend to have a plan, I just try and make each battle harder than the last. As for names, Haroka, Sorrow/Sorona and Blowhole (Which I changed to Blaohoel to sound a bit more, uh, mystical) were previous characters in a Transformers RPG I ran. Floodgate and Wither were City of Villains characters (hero/villain MMORPG). Everything else I just make up on the fly. You can't tell, can you?

Regarding calculating rounds, am I the only one who writes it all out on paper first? Old school

Tarn wipes away the embers stuck to his boots, and watches intently as Cinna opens the chest. -

OOC: Hybros isn't in the Dormitory yet, and shouldn't attack the Leopard due to his special. Tarn's eyes were wide as he surveyed the scene. He fumbled with Lion's Heart, nearly dropping it as he faced Coin-Spotted Leopard from the front row. -

Fully restored, Tarn looked around the library in wonder. Though stripped of anything the others considered useful, Tarn loved books, although he was a very slow reader. Rystael would love this place, he thought. So much to learn, of the Ji Pei and others. He touched several of the covers, enjoying the feel of the leather bindings as he left, following the rest of the party. -
Review: 76007 Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack
Rumble Strike replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Great review, lovely clear pics, and some irreverent humour in there too Great stuff! I still can't get over the size of the Iron Man helmet (I know, I know, I should get over it) but that is a cool Pepper. Love the freckles. -
Sorrow tends to keep himself to himself unless he's getting wound up by someone going on about undead.

Tarn and Guts do get on, and Guts even helped Tarn deal with hs guilt after the death of Constance, albeit in his gruff way. I would love to go on an Etzel quest sometime, like WBD he tends to focus on people rather than battles, and that would be a nice change of pace after the Quest I am currently on. Plus his MOCs are gorgeous.

Tarn shook his head to clear it, and wiped some blood off his face with a tattered sleeve. "Grattude once again, Hybros. I am certainly making a dent in the party's stocks of Phoenix Essences." Seeing that the others were looking over the library closely, Tarn sat on the floor regaining his strength. -

Tarn, realising that the Scholar had been cut down, rather unwisely rushed the Dragon instead. The horny one tore through Tarn's armour like it was rice paper and smashed the young Bezerker to the floor, where he lay unconscious and bloody. -
I know I sometimes think of Tarn as being a little slow on the uptake sometimes but I really must start using conditional actions like "If the more powerful members of the party have disposed of the enemy I have targeted, do nothing, and definitely do not attack the enemy that can one shot kill me!"
-
I have to admit, I didn't expect it to be over so fast. This was like Gotham, where the neutrals helped the town and the scum didn't have much of a chance. Def's clearing of me and BoyWonder helped focus on other targets, and badboy outing Peanuts like that really helped turn the tide. Thanks for letting me play, Bob, and well done to the Innocent PRs, great job.
