  1. I think he is talking about your modules!
  2. Here is my next (and probably last) entry: HDU-1 Buzzard Gallery when public: Main Gallery | Details Deeplinks: Pic 1 | Pic 1 | Pic 2 | Pic 3 | Pic 4
  3. System scale means it has the perfect size to fit minifigs. [system scale DOESN'T mean that it must be accurate to the real ship or whatever you build, e.g. the normal planes of the town theme were system scale, but compared to real planes (that have MORE than one row of seats... ;)) they lack of reality] Mini scale means that a model (mostly a ship or a mecha since the mini scale was introduced within the Star Wars Mini line) is small (the official sets e.g. all aren't wider than 16 studs or something like that) AND it has too small to fit minifigs. Then we have the UCS scale which basically means that the model isn't made for play but for display, that's why its more detailed and accurate than their system counterparts (e.g. the ISD, the UCS X-Wing,...) and also it's bigger! Besides the standard technic scale (fitting technic figures), the Star Wars technic scale (meaning the technic SW sets like Vader, R2, Jango,...), Belville scale and the Scala scale there is one more important scale that showed up lately very much (because of the Lego Factory contest?): Micro Scale: Very similar to the Mini scale, you use e.g. 1x1 cylinders as people and build small cars, houses and whatever mostly on a 16x16 baseplate. Hope this helps! ;)
  4. Actually the engines were the starting point for this vehicle. When I build them I hadn't known what the overall ship would look like afterwards and I hadn't known either what scale it would be... Since it is system scale now and not mini scale as it was planned (or at least I was sure at that point it would become some kind of mini scaled ship) the engines might look a bit under scaled now... The engines itself aren't only those four technic pipes at the back but also the sloped complex arround it. If I had a better selection of parts I had done the whole engine using only one main color that is different from the rest of the ship to show what exactly is engine and what isn't, but the parts were limited to the mini parts so I had to work with what I had ;) Sure you can, but there isn't anything interesting inside ;) Especially no place for a Minifig... :(
  5. Just send us the module! :P But don't think we'll send it back :D
  6. BTW I'll post an ON TOPIC thread were you might give some suggestions what kind of smilies you'd like to see (no guarantee though!) later this day, at least if I don't forget it... :$ So stay tuned!
  7. Okay, here a little appetizer... I made those several month ago, probably I'll add them to the list soon (though they were originally made for the Eurobricks' Smilie Pack Volume 2)
  8. Damn, clicked the wrong button by accident... :$ So add one imaginary vote to the second option... ;)
  9. Hey, hey... Erm, better you introduce yourself before asking for a title! So first of all welcome here! And then give us (and especially Master Yoda) the time and the chance to get to know you so that we can give you a title that really fits to you! So be patient, surely there will come the day you get a custom title!
  10. Those of you that visit FBTB from time to time might have noticed that they set up a contest to create a "mascot set" for their page. (Prize: 10129 UCS Snowspeeder!!!) When I saw this I got inspired and tried to come up with something. But after I began with my small ship I got a problem: The contest entries must be made of 100 pieces max. and they should be "small, easily-constructed "... MY model hadn't achieved any of those two requirements :D So I can proudly present my not-a-contest-entry-MOC PSc-1 Regulus Gallery when public: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=126462 Deeplinks: Pic 1 | Pic 2 Notes: I'm not sure if I can call this system scale, a minifig would find place inside this small craft, but then the whole windscreen had to be constructed in another way.
  11. Classic Space Forum! ;)
  12. Ah, THAT are the posts I really enjoy at this place! :D
  13. I don't think we need a summary since the chance that the world formula is hiding somewhere in yoda's and snefroe's posts is just sooooo small.... ;)
  14. Aren't the BlackTron (I + II) guys the space pirat'ish guys in the Lego Universe?
  15. Hi, welcome here! It's always nice to see some "local" people around here, since the most members are from UK and USA! Lol, we are very friendly here, even if it's about themes like Bionicles! ;) Classic Space was a few years too early for me, I just got two or three sets (my time began with BlackTron I), CS isn't my favourite theme, but it was nice nonetheless.
  16. Thanks for the info! :oD Huh? Aluminium?!? Why does it wear the name of another metal (Chrome / Chromium)? Is this resulting from any historical method? (Where chrome stillw as used maybe?) There were also threads on 1000steine.de and CSF about your MOC, you see, you're wellknown now... ;) BTW: (Even if a bit late) Welcome aboard! :)
  17. Thanks for the info! I checked an old catalogue from '96 and there really are the set names displayed... Still no idea about the minifig / animal names though...
  18. Ts ts ts... >-| Baaaad attitude my friend, bad attitude! Better be proud that you have a hobby that is one of the most creative hobbies out there! ;)
  19. Lol, me neither... Maybe you got it because you are so strict with guys asking for new pics? :D (Otherwise: Are shepherds strict?? :/ ) PS: Just to clarify: It wasn't me who gave you the title!
  20. 63% for me. But I had many problems with the names... I can't even remember there were names for the sets in the catalogues back in the 90's. And I'm PRETTY sure I have never got info about the names of a captain and his animals! >-| So where do we know from what they're called? EDIT: I'm speaking of the situation here in Germany...
  21. Gareth's great workshop on FBTB: http://www.fbtb.net/gareth/garethindex.asp Gareth's system scale Hailfire Droid: http://www.fbtb.net/gareth/systhailfire/index.htm
  22. Hey hey, you aren't going to have a serious argument here, are you?! :P If so, please do this using any of the available messenger systems, no matter if it is MSN or Windows Messenger.... :P
  23. Some nice vignettes! I especially like the Episode 3 vignette, the black figs are an really excellent idea! I also like the ESB vignettes, the background looks very nicely even if its a very simple construction! Well done! But let me also give you some hints on picture quality: First of all: If you don't want to / can't use the flash of your cam use another lightsource than the normal light of your room (e.g. a desk lamp) or try to shot it near a window or so. Experiment! The cam I currently use makes excellent pictures of black parts when flash is activated and for white parts I deactivate it and use my desk lamp (I wish I had noticed the difference when I shot the bellatrix... :$) But I think since you surely have another cam than me you should experiment a bit with it. Another note: Better try to leave some distance between your cam and the object and zoom in with the camera's zoom (if your camera has this function). I'm pretty sure most people would like to see the MOC clearly with a heighst of 800 pixels instead of looking at a blurry MOC you can't even display completely on your monitor! And you should edit your images to become smaller, a maximum size of 1024 x 768 or even 800 x 600 pixels (My latest pictures are all this size!) is in most cases just fine to see all important details! And even if some details aren't viewable at this resolution you still can take some detailed shots showing outcuts of your MOC! Just some hints, I hope it helps... ;)
  24. Check the Peeron page for that part! It came in Black, Blue, Grey, DkBley, Bley, Red, Sandblue, Tan, White and Yellow! Nonetheless I don't think I have any in other colors than black and grey (or at least I can't think of any currently)
