Well done, fits to the other movie posters. But why is thist there this red'ish border around the Jedi Starfighters?!? ( 8-| a fake???)
-
Okay, here is my first entry: Since I was to annoyed by learning anymore this evening I decided to take apart some SW sets (mostly Battle Droids and Droidekas... ;)) and started to build something. It became some APU'ish mecha, somehow I'm fascinated by this type of walkers lately *satis* The picture is just a preview, I'll take more pictures (and think about a name... :$ ) after my test tomorrow!
-
Lol nice! I'd really like to know where he has been (and is) the last weeks, especially because we have still a finish a deal... :/ Orlego, where are you???? :()
-
I think it's very interesting in how many different versions those emails come. They all differ from each other, I never got the same text twice. It doesn't even seem to be some program that creates the mails by mixing some text parts together, all texts are written completely indivual...
-
But the question is: Who cares about any laws?!? For sure not those megabloky guys creating this spam stuff.... But I'm lucky that my main email adress doesn't get many spam mails, aproximate one per day. The email provider deals with most of them, so I have one per week in my inbox. But I had also an adress that got 50 spam mails per day, I had to cancel this adress... |-/
-
Okay, since I get those e-mails almost every day I thought I'll share them with you! Here is what I got today: I'll post more when I get the next offer... :|
-
Okay folks... I think it's really the time to close a topic when several people are requesting it. Nonetheless some last words (what I think about it): It shouldn't be any problem to make fun about Megabloks in the way we did (e.g. letting the word filter replace all bad words with the term "megablok"). But what we've seen here was only some "Damn Megabloks, it's all bad!" which really is wether funny nor realistic. Surely Megabloks are lacking the quality of the original and so on, but on the otherhand they're also cheaper. I think many people of the whole AFOL community (and I mean the WHOLE community) are judging other brands without of ever having some bricks of them in their own hands just to have some "enemy" they can talk about... So what does I want to say?!? It's just that please talk either in a funny way or in a realistic way about them, okay? Make non-serious fun of Megabloks or otherwise discuss their sets / parts / quality / whatever seriously!
-
:D Have you never been on your couch coughing and dreaming of tiny bricks? :P :D
-
Eh... This is one of those "Which of those words does NOT fit?"-games, isn't it? :P :D But to write also something that is on topic: I just heard that Megabloks are finally comming to Germany the next time, for sure I'll have a try on a small set of them (*cough* Nano Line *cough*)

I like it... :P

The Eurobase 2005 - Eurobrick's Modular MOC System
ApophisV replied to ApophisV's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
UPDATE No 1: Background Story We are in the 23rd century. With the help of the Stargate network earth acquiered a lot of technologies and is now capable of traveling through the cold deep space. After 200 years, their technology has increased so much that they are now able to transport entire cities on new planets. Earth is also using its battleships to protect their allies from alien invasions. To celebrate the year 2200, the earth European Space Union decided to set up a giant universal exposition with representants of all the ally planets. They found a nice planet in the pegasus galaxy and put a Stargate on it so all the people invited can travel to the planet safely. All the planets started to send the best architects from their homeworld to create a nice village representing their culture. The guests wanted to proudly show what they were capable of. Everybody was here: the Asgards with their nice curved ships, the Tok'Ra with their egyptian style and even some Ancients that materialized a big hall around the Stargate to welcome the new arrivants. Even some less technologicaly advanced planets started to build incredible constructions: from castles to vikings villages, it was a fantastic mozaic. Thanks to Jipay for providing this! :) -
Ts ts ts... I wonder what Jipay is thinking about this "dating service"? :D

The Eurobase 2005 - What will YOU bring?

Ts ts ts... guys... Haven't you read the other thread?!? :| -
EDIT: please read THIS THREAD before posting here! Hey all, here is the thread about the Eurobase 2005 project. This thread is mostly for those people that want to join the project (so I hope for many, many of you... ;)) and for the people that are still unsure about the project or have questions or whatever. So what's your opinion? What could you imagine to create? Any ideas we haven't thought of so far?
-
Here we go: As announced in the other thread we will (have to) display MOC's at the Eurobricks Event 2005 in our hotel. We can't force anybody to bring something and we can't especially force you to participate this project, but please remember: The more people join, the cooler the result will be! So here are is the general project description, I'll add technical details (connection system, module size, etc...) later, the project's guidelines are still in developement! But let's go: Project Name: SG-2200 The general idea is to build some ambassador's city where all those cultures from the Stargate universe and also new cultures and those shown at other movies / series can have their buildings and whatever next to each other. This city takes place in a (fan-)fictional alternate timeline of the SG universe in the year 2200, where all the different races live in peace and harmony (oh, this is soooo cuuuute!!! *wub*). For all of you that aren't familiar with Stargate I'll give some short overview about some races that appear in the show: There are in general three different types of races: 1) The Ancients: those look like humans but they are the most powerfull race of the whole universe (as shown in atlantis) 2) Those futuristic, omnipotent races (both good or bad) with all those cool spacecrafts and whatever. (including the Goa'uld and Tok'Ra, both egyptian inspired, the Nox -> nature-freaks and the Asgard which nicely cover the chlich

I'm not sure about this, but aren't almost every walker's legs SNOT?

Eh, one more word about Intertoys: As a toy store that sells Lego they are really great! Sets are cheaper than anywhere else here in Germany (that means cheaper than regular S@H prices) and they have often nice deals (like my sopwith camel I got for 20 Euro instead of 60 or whatever)... The only problem I currently have is that they don't have any Star Wars anymore, I think this might be a result from the fact (?) that Germany isn't a country where Sci-Fi things sell very well.... (Anybody more info about this?) So snefroe, don't worry, better visit them when they're open, you'll see this shop is in general very nice! ;)
-
But there is something that annoys me even more: We have one of those Intertoys stores here (as far as I know originally a dutch toy store) which always had nice deals for Lego (e.g. 20% off in the whole pre-christmas time, also on sets that were already reduced). I asked there for the new Ep3 sets, and they told me that they won't get ANY new Star Wars sets anymore!!!! :()
-
Same here, in Germany the retailer stores will get the first Ep3 sets end of april (Ani's Fighter and Vulture Droid) or in may, while Ani's Fighter is already available at S@H.
-
Whuahahahaha!!! *twisted* *twisted* Haven't bought the Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid set since it's not available here!!!! Whuahaha!!! This is the very first time I'm happy about living into "Star-Wars?-No-we-don't-get-any-new-Star-Wars-sets-here-anymore!"-Country!!!! :D

What kind of models should we bring ?
ApophisV replied to Jipay's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Please stay tuned, i'll post about the Eurobase Project later this day! (Some small hint: It got a Movie / TV related theme, and it's not Star Wars... ;)) -
