  7. Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins The head part comes with The Chamber of Secrets.
  8. hm, no idea.... :$ Maybe you can send me an email with the picture attached? I would like the community not to see the modules before the event, so that the module set up will be a surprise for everybody!
  9. Okay, dudes, that's the deal: PM me what you are planning to bring, including the structure of the modules (that means how which connection types (ways / corridors) you want to put where)!!!
  10. Hi and welcome aboard! :)

  12. Maj hadn't and won't kill Brickshelf. Brickshelf existed longer than maj.com, as far as I remember maj has been created not that long ago. (Mostly to avoid too much "thats me" folders and such in the Brickshelf file system I think) I have read the thread on lugnet about the problem and it doesn't sound like Brickshelf will disappear. I'll post the link if I find it again.
  13. Yes, exactly the same here... My most scary movies so far: The Ring --> I was soooo happy that I was able to spend the following three nights with my (nowadays ex-)girlfriend.... 8-| So much athmosphere and really shocking... Signs --> No idea why, but this somehow is looking so realistic (I love / hate that birthday party video with the alien.... frightening.... :() 8-| ). Maybe I was so much scared because this was exactly my kind of movie or whatever, no idea. I just was shocked... (Lol, I have this slight feeling that this is becoming a general horror movie discussion, if so I'll split this tomorrow...)
  14. I did this myself. If I make a sketch in advance it is usually as wishy-washy as the one shown. I just use it for the general shape, all details of the model are added directly within the progress of building.
  15. that is... disappointing... I've seen the trailer and thought "No! I will NOT watch this movie! Too scary!" But then it appeared at the sneak preview in my local theater... It sure was a good horror movie and a nice trip in weird minds, but simply not as shocking as expected. Maybe because the trailer's scenes were already 80% of the best / most shocking ones. But I have to admit its a movie that shows nice directing and acting skills, and the storyline itself shows some interesting ideas. Also the last minutes are surprising... So it gets a 7/10 from my side, good movie, but not as much horror as it could have.
  16. It wasn't based on a particular wild cat, just the overall shope was supposed to look like one. But it's more a strong lion or tiger than a slim panther ;) I added my basic concept sketch, so maybe you get the idea I had in mind. You mean some kind of articulation? With the stronger joints it finally should be able to be set in different positions, although I haven't tried it yet. (Will do this at the final foto session ;))
  17. Okay, here is some speculation: Since I don't own the set I'm not 100% sure, but those stickers / tiles at the front have exactly the same damaged look at both fighters. If this is a real damage of the stickers (and not printed) this could mean that we see the same starfighter photoshopped to red. (in a perfect way though!) Is anybody able to confirm or disprove this?
  18. Dude, you're really doing some crazy, scary stuff! 8-| Impressive! :oo
  19. Those are some interesting ideas! Your thoughts of replacement parts and such things are even for the Star Wars universe a bit "too realistic" (you'll find this mentallity maybe in the Outer Rim), it's almost the space counterpart of a Mad Max / Waterworld like universe... Nonetheless a really creative idea... I do not really like the look of the one with the green X-Pod dish, maybe because the red parts are a bit too different to the green parts... And why is there always only a single front wing colored? This somehow doesn't look right to me, it gives the feeling that it was PLANNED to make the ship's coloring looking UNPLANNED... *wacko* Or are there other reasons for this?
  20. Dudes, finally got my ordererd technic hinges a few days ago, so I might proudly present the most recent prototype of my alternate AT-AT! What has been changed? - The leg part that connects has been changed completely, mostly because I replaced the clicky hinges with technic hinges (from the AT-AT and AT-TE sets) and thats why I had to modifie the whole part. Now the walker finally can stand on its own without of fearing every little movement which led to a crash before. - The joint that connected the head with the body was changed too. Before it was a simple clicky hinge construction that allowed the head only to move up and down. Now it can also move to the sides so it has a kinda natural movement range. Also the technic hinges give much more stability to it. The rear of the head has been changed slightly to make the neck joints fit. Nothing special though. - I added lots of greeblies and other detailing to the hull. The parts I had to use weren't that good for greebling, not many small parts, so the "greeblies" are a bit larger than usually. Nonetheless I hope they give some nice mechanical touch to the vehicle. - Forgot to add the gun at the bottom, if there is still enough space I'll think about adding a whole gunner place (otherwise an computer controled gun). - I strengthened the knee joint with a second technic hinge. That's it ;) Gallery when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=130311 Pics: Pic 1 | Pic 2 | Pic 3 | Pic 4 | Pic 5 | Pic 6 | Pic 7 | Pic 8 Note: This probably isn't the finished version, I'll try to use your input to modifie it. (Oh, snefroe, sorry for the missing headlights, but I removed them because they looked somehow silly. The driver uses IR instead now :P) Comments as always welcome!!!
  21. Dude: Let me say the bad things first: baad picture quality, way too dark... :( Now the good things: Great work!!! :oD I still love the ultimate duel vignette with the black figs!!! Thats such a cool idea! Your Joda/Sidious vignette features a really nice... ...whatever-this-thing-is-called... You know, the chancellor seat thing... A shame that the small Minifig legs (Yoda's) aren't posable so you're losing a bit of the impression of action here (not your fault though). Your after-the-battle vignette with Ani near the lava is just... weird... as weird as the original... Superb! The tatooine vignette shows great landscaping and the poses of the figs implies nice action! Simple vignette idea, but effective! Great work!
  22. Dude, great work again! This one is a great example of an beautiful design concept! You got a great shape in there, the proportions of the wings, the main body and the "front wings" are just perfect! My only complaint is, that the bottom of it is looking somehow thin or flat or whatever. If you would add some slopes or anything below the cockpit section it would look much more balanced... Another aspect of this is the great color scheme. The black and the chrome make it looking so much elegant, really nice idea! For the cockpit: I as an interior geek would suggest to add more details to yours! You need at least some kind of a seat for your pilot and maybe some handles or whatever. Also greebles give a nice touch to the cockpit design, maybe some transparent parts like 1x1 round plates or L4 bars behind the seat or beyond the controls... Hope this helps ;)
  23. Ahhh, this new version shows a nicely enhanced design! All the added details are looking great, you achieved a much better look with changing just minor things! I especially like the added slopes where the wings connect to the hull. The more detailed wings came out really great! And I like the yellow front parts of your weapons! Those parts make this ship even more interesting! Good work! :)

Whoaw! Congrats, dude!!! :oD For me it's still at least four years till I can call myself a "diploma engineer" or whatever the proper translation is (and a guy with a laaaarge Lwego budget :P)...
  25. If this would be the case I would call me lucky.... *wacko*
