The trailer definitively is one of those which let you have this "Well, okay... erm... I don't get it..." feelings afterwards. I really have no idea what this movie is about, is it meant as comedy? If not it probably will be the worst B-Junk published at a theater since many years... :-|

Dude, I'd go with the transred you already used and replace the engine color instead! IMO the transred fits perfectly to the yellow/dkgrey color scheme. A solid red would make the vehicle look to colorful while both the transgreen and transblue would break the kinda "warm" color scheme...

Actually the PotC writers are doing what is very usual within other historical themes. "Castle" themed books, stories, movies and so on included those mystical creatures from the beginning (e.g. Lord of the Rings). So I don't think there is any "problem" of involving such elements in Pirate themed stories or related things! Look at the classic castle guys! There are both the historical correct builders and also those that get isnpired by fantastic books and such!

I second this, if you have a close look at your speckled parts you'll see that EVERY surface has the speckles (is this the real word for it?) which wouldn't be the case if the speckles were painted on it afterwards...

If this set would be very cheap I reallywould be tempted. Look at it, you could get a BROWN Minifig Hat Rag, brown western rifles, chrome cutlasses and a yellow parrot with printing! Furthermore a 2x2 Tile with a unique treasure map printing, a chrome pirate gun and a TransNeonGreen goblet! It also seems that their soldier hats vary slightly from the original ones. Also the gold coins seem to vary slightly in color what would give some variety to your gold treasure which is always good! Maybe I should try it... ;-) oh and it's funny that their knights doesn't wear helmets but western hats! ;-) THIS set features some more cool accessories, a bicorner hat with a different printing, TransLightBlue cups, red spears and a differnt Admiral torso printing. (plus some of the things mentioned above) Here we can get a completely new designed whip! In this set we see very happy family with a colorful house, a car and a guy with a gun!

Whoa, Rhino and Venom surelook amazing, but Vulture's face is definitively missing his nose! ;-) With your skills a sculpted head shouldn't be a problem! :-)

I always have a very similar problem. Besides my Star Wars collection (which is seperated from the rest of my bricks) I have only a few dark grey bricks. What I do is expanding the BURP walls with grey bricks, if you put them randomly at the BURPs it is looking like an actual stone structure afterwards. Please try to build this scene again, the idea is really great and unique and I would really like to see the whole scene set up in a solid Phes style diorama! :-)

Actually I think this one is somewhat... lame... :P The idea sure is great, but try to use more detailed structures instead of just having some BURPs on a raised baseplate! As I said, I like the idea for this setting, actually Dana and I are working currently on a very similar MOC: It still is missing two more modules and the details on the top (the figs and the bushes are just preliminary), I'll show some better quality pictures as soon as we are finished! And yes, my Lord Admiral, take this as a challenge! >:-)

Hehe, I just started a small Islander MOC (based on the cannibal scenes from PotC2) last weekend! ;-) Actually Dana and me are planning to build something together, we will show the results here as soon as we are finished! (Maybe you'll even get some preview pics if I can get my hands on my sister's digicam)

Ahhhh, the alien costume! *alien* Actually, I really dislike it, it seems a mixture of Iron Man, Doc Ock and a very little but of Spidey... Hope we will get back the goodol' costume soon... *sad* (The only good thing is, that here in Germany currently both comics with the old and the new costume are released (we just finished the Other and the House of M event), so I can still see original Spidey for one or two months here and there :-) ) BTW, great Fig nonetheless! My only critic would be the black area between the eyes, I would get rid of it or at least make it somewhat smaller!
