  1. I just want to add that I find it really funny how all those parrots are sitting on the palm trees in 45
  2. Microscale Helicarrier: After several month I managed to finish this baby, it still has a lots of flaws but I need the parts for other MOCs therefor I declare it as the (one and only) finished version 1.0. Maybe I'll try my hands on a second version in 2007, but only time will tell on this issue... This MOC, inspired by the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier from the Marvel comics, is a part of a group project I'm working on with some guys from other LEGO communities and hopefully I'll be able to add many more MOCs that follow similar design schemes. Basically the carrier is owned by a paramilitary group that has alot of similarities to Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D. organization... Finally, I got to present the fleet of the carrier: I plan to make System scaled version of all of those vehicles in the future. Gallery after moderation: Brickshelf Okay, that's it, hope you like it! ;)
  3. Hah! I still need an idea for a costume for my Halloween party at tuesday! I wish I had the time to make something similar within the next days .... :-(
  4. Nope. I got to work this month almost every day, have to do my studies and to care for Dana at the weekends, that doesn't give me much time to do anything :-/ (BUT I will get soooo much money at the end of the month!!! :-D ;-) ) But if I find the time I'll create a new christmas theme... *sweet*
  5. His "cheat" was simply to bend the wall. If you build a huge wall structure with 1x2 bricks you'll notice that the wall can be bend slightly because there are very tiny gaps between the surfaces of the bricks...
  6. SNOT Techniques by Porschecm2. SNOT Techniques by Warhawk SNOT Techniques by Bohman Hope that helps! ;-)
  7. Okay guys, lets make it a tradition and spookify our avatars once again! >:-)

  9. LOL! Dudes, I'd happily take any black bricks send towards me to replace the black wall pieces! :-P I actually tried to save as much black bricks as possible for two reasons: 1. Originally this was meant as a single module of a larger layout where you hadn't seen the walls anymore after attaching everything (We canceled the other modules because of a huge lack of parts...) 2. There are several other MOCs Dana and me are building at the same time which probably will need black bricks too. Maybe I could put some black plates at the side to cover the walls, but I gotta wait till Dana returns to Aachen with our camera to take some pics... Till then you gotta ignore the walls and concentrate on the actual MOC and not the structure underneath! :-P
  10. Now THATS what I would call an "alternate"!!!! X-O :-D One of the most creative ideas I've seen lately! *y*
  11. Hey pirates, got my latest MOC finished, a 32x32 diorama showing two treasure hunting pirates! More will be shown soon!
  12. Thanks for the comments, guys, I almost forgot about this thread :-$ As always, no discussion on this issue... :-P Ah yes, still got no time to edit the pictures... *wacko* Maybe tuesday, I've my free day then. Yes, that would explain the gun. Otherwise, I want the gun to blow up planets and such >:-)
  13. Hey fellow LEGO fans, as most of you know I got a job at a toy store and started to work last wednesday! And my first working day there was directly a day of a great surprise, I was able to rescue one of the Advent Calendar display stands from the trash container and took it to my home! *sweet* Basically it is a four leveled stand with starry sky printing and a LEGO CITY logo at the lowest level. It also came with some stuff with christmas printing for the top of the display. The reason I took this with me is that it makes (ignoring the "CITY" emblem) a perfect stand for my Star Wars boxes... ;-) It wasn't that easy to arrange all those boxes, especially the top level has some gaps between the boxes. Nonetheless it is a great way to display the boxes ;-) What do you think?
  14. This was one point I wondered about this morning (and forgot to write down :-$ ), where is this head from? My first guess was Ferrari, but then I noticed that it has a black and not a red "hood" printed on, so I am kinda clueless
  15. Just a few days ago I used "by accident" the term "playing with LEGO" instead using "building". Dana was kinda surprized about this words that I used since I always said I would just "build" and not play. But nowadays... Actually I think "playing" doesn't only mean some sort of roleplay with figures and such but just having fun with something. I think "playing" is a great choice since it shows that we still have fun with out bricks ;-)
  16. Hehe, isn't LEGO a lovely toy? :-D Good job as always, somewhat more minimalistic than your usual vignettes, but resembling the scene as excellent as always! *y* It's good to see you're going on with this series since I really like it very much so far! PS: What about trying to build a guillotine? (Spelling??) ;-)
  17. Hey, wish you all the best!!! :'-)

LOL, I wasn't talking about the stability of the LEGO construction! I am probably the last builder that should say anything against fragile constructions, most of my own MOCs doesn't fall apart because of two reasons: Very careful picking up and LOTS of faith... ;-) What I meant was that a plane that is meant to be very fast (I guess this since it runs by a nuclear power generator) AND very strong (lifting freight) would need a strong main hull to fullfill those tasks. Basically the main frame of the Vixen is not thicker than a brick. In real life that would mean the whole supporting structure isn't higher than 50 ~ 60cm. I'm not (yet) really an expert when it comes to scientific analysis of planes, but my feeling tells me that it's somehow too less. Or you have to invent some sort of a energetic stabilizing system (I think Star Trek ships got such devices) to explain why it doesn't fall apart at high pressure or such things. BTW, better let's not talk about the CW value of it... :-P ;-)

Whoaw, now that's finally a unique plane! I love the canopy mechanism though I wonder if it stays closed or is the canopy able to slide open if the plane is moved? I would strengthen the body a bit, its looking very fragile, especially considering this thing is build for athmospheric flight. And your pilot needs a real seat! :-P Other than this really great job!
  20. Yeah, it's Imperial Trading Post for me too! *wub*
  21. I looked up some of the sets (1996's catalogue) and translated the Ebay names into English. NONE of the Ebay names are the actual German set names! Those marked red are older and I need to find a catalogue scan before I can translate them correctly. 6279 Pirateninsel (= "Pirates Island") Catalogue name: 6279 - Totenkopfh
  22. HAsSc-1 Rhino Today I present you a small but highly effective plasma bomber. Starting with the idea of building a very small Spaceship I once again ended up with a medium sized one with a huge cannon underneath! (No, it has NO shooting mechanism!!! :-P ) The cockpit this time is unusual small and unequipped since I had to limit the space of it dramatically. Wasn't easy to do this because building the cockpit (and other interior) is one of the most fun things when it comes to build spaceships... The hull (especially the wings) look rather plain, I somehow forgot to add details to them... :-$ Image 1 | Picture 2 | Picture 3 | Gallery Comments and critics as always highly appreciated! PS: The pictures of the other ship need some time to be edited and are therefore delayed for some days!
  23. Quote from Marvel.com:
  24. Same here... :-$ I don't even know where that space ship comes from, it just is in my head for some reason... 8-|

    Teaser

Lol, it doesn't seem like you guys are anticipating this much, therefore it might take a bit longer till I can upload the images, will take much time to edit them... :-P
