I don't think so, surely some guys at TLC thought "Let's give something to all those annoying AFOLs asking for bulk pieces. But lets make it kids-compatible too!" I wish my PC hadn't crashed last night when I tried to install the new program, maybe I will be able to check out tonight what kind of interesting parts I could order... ;-)

Review: unnamed exclusive Pirates set (& no set number)
ApophisV replied to ApophisV's topic in LEGO Pirates
Actually most of them had enough money left so they were able to afford a normal meal while my leftover money was just enough to buy a Kids Meal... :-$ -

How do you store your instructions?
ApophisV replied to captaintau's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's exactly what I am doing. Though I am currently planning to get DIN A4 comic boxes for storing them since my folders are getting too full lately. -
Great review! You showed us so much of this set, mayn things I havent noticed before! (The helmet holder, the sliding back of the tower,...) Actually I really like the hull design and the figs, but the interior doesn't appeal to me... It looks kinda... unfinished. Had been great to have some real walls between the rooms and not those multi-colored technicbricks constructions... *n* And I have to agree with you, the TransNeonGreen on the outside is probably the worst color choice they could have done (okay, besides TransPink with Glitter) So thanks alot for this review and have lots of fun with this "Birthday present"!!!!

I can't tell you anything except that I got it last weekend with my meal. They had lots of those polybags lying around there and if I remember correctly KhoRne had one lying next to his meal too... -

How long do you keep your Lego models built?
ApophisV replied to vahkimetru's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Star Wars sets: As long as they aren't used in MOCs they are on display in a special shelf. After taking the MOCs apart the SW sets are reassembled again and on display. Non-SW sets: After getting them I put them on various shelves, cupboards ans so on. There they are sitting till I run out of place (mostly after 15 - 20 medium sized sets) and then they are all together token apart and sorted into my collection. Then I can start to fill up the space again with new sets and everything begins again. This circle usually is something between two months and a year... -

Jon for being so patient with the rummage tub parts Sne for bringing the racers to the event! Special nominations: Copmike for all those ultra cool parts (fooooood!) and the keychain none of us expected!!! DoubleT for Erik and especially for the gifts at the LL store I expected even less! :'-) and finally... (again) Jon for organizing that great event!!! *sweet* -

Hell, I fighted long and hard for this exclusive set (even if it was a kinda lingual fight!), so here is the review! This set comes in a poly pag which is NOT showing any set number or any other identification! This directly made me feel bad about the set even before opening it, and as you will see later on my first impression should be confirmed! *n* Here is a picture of all contents: Packaging: It also comes with a blue backboard, which is completely useless because of its instability! -> 0 bananas out of 10 for this nonsense Stickers: Good news is: it does NOT come with stickers! ( *y* ) But now the bad news: You are supposed to DRAW the details yourself with pens on the model!!! Sorry TLC, but are we going back to stone age? -> - 8 out of 10 herrings Part count: The part count is rather small, if you consider the backboard, the frame and the pens as parts there is an overall part count of 37 wich isn't too much IMO. -> 1 out of 10 small cannon balls Detailing: Since it is not colored at the beginning this set already has a massive lack of details! Furthermore some of the black lines at the top are missing which both makes it look unrealistic and also adds some difficulty to it while painting! -> 0 out of 10 peglegs Coloring: Ignoring the fact that it comes in black and white the coloring after building this set is completely wrong. The black seems to be a dark grey, while there is a blue pen included instead of a grey one to paint the hook and the saber. The orange beard is simply red. Also the brown is newbrown instead of the classic tone. (This last point won't influence the rating because it's a subjective point I personally dislike, just thought I should mention it!) -> 0 out of 10 coal pieces Swoosh Factor: Before seperating the pieces from each other it IS possible to swoosh the set around, though there are lots of sets which got a better Swoosh Factor! After seperating it is completely impossible to swoosh the build set around! -> 2 out of 10 eyepatches OVERALL RATING: Summarizing of the partially ratings: -> 0 bananas out of 10 -> - 8 out of 10 herrings -> 1 out of 10 small cannon balls -> 0 out of 10 peglegs -> 0 out of 10 coal pieces -> 2 out of 10 eyepatches ==> This set is worth half a small cannon ball and an eyepatch, though the guy who sold it to you owes you 4 herrings!
