Oh, wow! That's awesome! Nothing like a heavily armed mecha to make an impression...

Cool little rover! I think the lava came out well. Looks great! Does the camera's warantee cover being dropped into a lava flow? Might want to check on that...
-
I love mecha! And you did a great job here! The scenery is terrific as well. Really well done!

Very cool! The landscape is great! Love it!

K-B06 Fun and Sun on Sorn... Or Something
Blackhawk STX replied to Blackhawk STX's topic in AG1 Archive
Thank you! Yeah, the wing pivot is where it all started... Thank you, thank you! The cast was a fun detail to throw in. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a few extra words can help sell it. Thanks again for the support! Thanks! The story was fun to develop, and I was pleased with the build as well! I haven't seen that set before, but it does look similar! I guess great minds think alike, or something like that... No kidding! You'd think they'd be more concerned about a live warhead than their coffee! I mean, c'mon guys!! -
Awesome. And huge! Glad I had that backing me up!

[M-B06] Sorn: Do I Really Want To Know What That Is?
Blackhawk STX replied to Lady K's topic in AG1 Archive
Nice build! Like that boat. And as someone who has had MRE's, I can say that they're not too bad, as long as you know which ones to grab...- 30 replies

Location: Sorn Tags: Kawashita, Sorn, Airplane, Military Now THIS is what I’m talking about!! I finally got something worth flying! It even has weapons! I guess the donut I slipped on narbilu’s desk worked. Or maybe everyone got tired of my whining. Either way, who cares?! This Peregrine is a sweet ride! It’s usually meant for air-to-ground work, but as I’m on Sorn, it’s been armed for anti-sub action. That torpedo will leave a heck of a mark on something! Can’t wait to pop it off… She’s got speed, as well as VTOL and hovering abilities. The pivoting wings and wing mounted thrusters give it added maneuverability, letting it turn like a helicopter and dodge ground fire. Gotta get this baby prepped. I got a mission to scout for any M.A.N.T.I.S. forces on Sorn. If I find any, I get to hit them hard or call in Aera and her bomber if they’re too much to handle (Man, she ALWAYS gets the cool stuff!). Let’s go stomp some Bugs!! Loading the “fish”. Man, that puppy’s big! What’s with these techs? That’s live ordinance! And it kinda hurts! Oh, well. Cast or no cast, if I can still kick the rudder pedals, I can still fly! Time for some Bug hunting! This second build was interesting. Had an idea for a plane with pivoting wings, and I built the rest of the ship around that (and the cockpit…). I figured that it was meant to be a support craft, so it didn’t have to look pretty, but I think it has a mean look to it, so I’m pleased! I do have to watch for the situations I get into. Too many more and I’ll be known as “Bad Luck” Blackhawk…

Ugh. You ain't kidding there! I have had periods of unhappy dice at times...

Hmmm... I don't seem to remember our conversation being so... garbled. I'm sure I was rather explicit in what I was saying. Wonder how that happened? As for the build, I'll say I'm impressed! I saw what you had done as of yesterday, but it came out great, I must say. Even the set piece was neat. I also liked the story. Glad I could participate in it! And I appreciate your trust in my piloting skills. It's true that I can fly anything that can get airborne, even if it's by sheer luck...

Chogg can have my Grubby-o's! They look like Klingon gackt: you know, serpent worms (always best when eaten fresh!). Great build, though! The ruins were well done. Very convincing!

Nicely done! But if it has a big sign saying "Gold Mine", how secret can it be?

THIS... is just awesome! That ship is SWEET!! I'm really impressed with the hanger as well. But if robots can't be trusted to hold their coffee right, what good are they? -

[K-A06] You Have GOT To Be Kidding Me!

Thank you, Mike-Sensei (that is what the "S" stands for, right? ) I am slowly building up my collection, which should provide for more i nspired lunacy... I hope! Thanks again, Aera! Both for your help, and for getting me involved in AG! Thanks! Yeah, I had fun coming up with that little scenario. Glad it worked! Thank you! It was fun coming up with the poses. Aera and I were cracking up the whole time we were shooting them... Lol! Yeah, well. Temper, temper. But it felt sooo good at the time! Thanks for the rescue offer, but I finally got it going again, with the proper amount of "TLC". The sand in my undies is another story, however... It does, doesn't it? Great stress reliever as well! Though the brass tends to frown on it for some reason... -

Location: A06 Guinevere Tags: Kawashita, Guinevere, Airplane What the heck is this? I'm supposed to be doing a recon patrol in this desert, but I don't even know what I'm looking for! M.A.N.T.I.S. forces? If I do run into Bugs, this crate doesn't have any weapons! What scrap pile did they pull this pathetic piece of crap from? The wing block looks like it came from another vehicle, and the engine bucks like a Direstanian kengerbeast. It quit on me once already, and I had to land to give it some "extreme maintainance" just to get it going again. I swear I still have grit in my underwear... Is this a practical joke? Part of the hazing process? Am I being "punk'd"? If Aera is behind this, I will SO graffiti her pretty little Reppu. It ain't funny! Oh, well. Gotta pay your dues, Rookie. Gotta pay your dues... F-550 FLIT-R (Fast Launch Individual Transport, class R) The F-550 was originally designed as a small aerial craft suitable for light duty tasks such as recon, scouting, and aerial surveying. Equipped with a DG-60T4 thrust unit, the craft had incredible acceleration for its size, which aided in its usefulness as well as its survivability. The addition of the modular wing block futher added to its mission profile, granting longer range and greater maneuverability. It also allowed the FLIT-R to perform other duties in customized variations, such as topographical scanning, electronic warfare, and even light air-to-ground attack capability. The F-550 was also popular in the civilian market, mostly appealing to the young adult crowd, who appreciated its high acceleration and speed. Several localities even tried to ban it, quoting its "obscene thrust-to-weight ratio". Still, it proved quite popular, and thousands were sold throuhout known space. Although no longer in production, the FLIT-R is still very common and can be seen in various conditions performing a wide range of missions. So, here's my first build for AG. It's also my first free build in, well, longer than I care to remember! I don't have a lot of bricks, which limits what I can do, but I wanted my first build to have my figure in it instead of going LDD. Still, it was fun, and I'm looking forward to doing more. Many thanks to Aera Lure, for providing technical support. I haven't done forums before, so Aera's help in this (and the photography) is much appreciated!!

[Challenge 1]Sandworm on New California[O; G03]
Blackhawk STX replied to marcu22's topic in AG1 Archive
"Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I guess I'll go build worms..." to paraphrase the tune. The little buggers (okay, they're BIG buggers) are everywhere! We may need to call in an AG exterminator to get rid of them all. Maybe M.A.N.T.I.S. can take care of it. They're Bugs anyway, right?
