Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
TitusV replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Indeed, as Eomer said: our common currency was Gold Darics, not? And maybe Silver and Cupper Darics? Please correct me if I'm wrong -
Great busy scene, I like that you've included an interior part as well

Please say when you're starting on these vignettes! I'm really curious to what you may build, and maybe I could even throw my own in...

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
TitusV replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Welcome to Avalonia! I think all of Historica has the same currency, but there are some language-differences. As I understood, the human language is commonly used, altough the dwarves and elves have their own languages, they also sprak the common tongue. But he: if you want to have a clan who only speaks their own language: no problem! -
lovely micro-ships, great sea! Keep it up!

@all: cheers guys! Thank you! I've experimented with the wall-technique, but I found it indeed to be too much texture. That slope has also gone into soms other builds, but other then the walls I'm planning on using different techniques during different builds to get things the way I want them to be.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
TitusV replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
For you challenge Ska, I opposed the DK: You don't ambush an ally! @Maxim: so, I onl recently joined so I may be in no position to tell y-things right, but I'll still try to and someone else should correct me if I'm wrong: The barkeeper sighs, put the glass he was cleaining back on the shelf, and sits down on a stool after signing the servants to bring some good wine. Then he starts telling, and his loud voice oulls you totally in: "So. You want to know what happened to our beloved Kaliphlin, do you? Sit down, since it'll take some time! Some months ago, strange rumours started flooding in. They could generally be divided into two sorts: from the west, and the east. The rumours of the west spoke of an island re-risen of the seas, and was mostly brought by drunken sailors, while the rumours of the east spoke of an old King come back to live. All the more horrifying, both rumours proved to be true. And both the old king, soon called the Desert King, and the inhabitants of the western isle claimed the throne. Our good High Council of course didn't want to cede, so there we went. For the first time after the Revolword Saga, dear Kaliphlin was pulled back into war. But it wa snot only Kaliphlin against Kaliphlin: no, people from all over the guilds came to fight for their chosen ruler. It was the hell, M'Lord. Brother fought against brother, nephew against nephew. And while the war dragged on, since no side was strong enough to claim final victory,, treasures burnt out. So it happened that the soldiers were no longer paid, and had to feed themselves of the land. It was a disaster for the peasant and common, M'Lord. War exhaustion sky rocketed, and the hunger to peace grow everyday. Due to the pressure of the tired people, the three sides agreed on a truce. At the moment, the Desert King rules most of this land, while the High Council still is not defeated and even Ulandus controls some pockets of resistance. While tension are so high, the Desert King now has called all his faithfull followers to arms. No-one knows what he is planning, but be ensured no good can come from it." -

I've got a new build up! You don't ambush an ally! -
Previous Chapter (by LV) -------------------------------- Alric hands itched. In the previous days, he and his men had cleared the area around Shadowmere from thug, thieves and other people Lord Vladivius and he didn't want to have around. Most of it hadn't even been real fights: sent in the Drond's heavy cavalry, and about an hour later the infantry to clean their mess up. But now, he had found an opponent larger then his own army. His spies had told him an important supporter of the Desert King would pass by today. He couldn't let that happen. So he had prepared his troops to ambush them, and here, at the hollow road, was the perfect place. When he would raise his hand, the crossbow-men would change the hollow way into a dead-trap. Suddenly he heart the sounds of clashing armour, of hundreds of feet stamping the ground to mud with their marching. He knew his enemy was coming, and spanned all his muscles, ready to attack. A column of armed goblins appeared. At their head rode an armoured person, clad in black iron. He had given his best archer command to take that one out as first. He knew his enemy, and Gal Turok was worth twenty good Drond's men if not taken care of early. The army approached rapidly, and was almost there. Fifty feet left to give the signal. Thirty feet. Alric made his sword loose in it's sheet. Twenty feet. He clenched his fist. Ten... "Alric." A booming voice sounded in his ears and over the road. The enemy knew they were there? Alric, who knew hiding was useless, stood up. "Yes, Gal Turok?" -"Say to your archers to relax. I know exactly how many men you've got there, and I know how many supplies you've got, how long they will stretch... And I know you've got a fair amount of gravely wounded with you. You won't leave quickly if need be." That was true. The last band of thieves had been more organised then they seemed, and a considerable amount of men got wounded, or maimed, in the battle. He sighed, and signed to the men to stand up but hold their arms ready. "Much better, Alric. Did you really think you could ambush us?" -"..." "No, you still think in terms of the previous conflict. But that is past time. No, this battle is way more important. I fight for Nocturnus, for the Resistance. You do the same. That's the only thing that matters. We're on the same side, guy. And as much as I hate it to say, Nocturnus needs you and your army." Gal Turok let a small silence, but then continued: "I propose an alliance." The Great Goblin Uniter stretched his hand out to Count of Drond's Feelds. ---------------------------------------------------- CC very welcome, special thanks to Blufiji for his wonderfull techniques and kindness in explaining them, and to you for the kind comments on the previous MOC and for reading this!
