  1. There are some photos here: https://www.brothers-brick.com/2021/11/09/lego-star-wars-75313-ultimate-collector-series-at-at-the-empire-truly-strikes-back-review It also includes the Land Rover wheels in LBG.
  2. I expect some sort of press announcement at Nuremberg Toy Fair in February. At least a brand name, such as Ferrari or Mercedes, or whatever they are doing. That's when we usually get the first info regarding the second wave.
  3. I can definitely see part of the pullback motor, so they are correct.
  4. Mustang looks cool. I’m not convinced by the others.
  5. It is nuts, but in the same way a $300k Lamborghini or Ferrari is (and that’s on the cheap end) nuts. This car is sold for the most die-hard fans of LEGO and RC cars, and specifically those with a hole in their wallets. There is definitely a market for spending thousands on a single LEGO build. Just look at some of Lucio Switch’ stuff.
  6. It’s not even USD, it’s EUR, and to add insult to injury you can add European VAT as well https://buwizz.com/1to8-scale-gta-spano
  7. No way they will do an Audi R8. That car is ancient and to be honest quite boring. They will do something much newer, maybe something that hasn't even been revealed yet.
  8. The shape is quite odd but it’s one of the thinnest trans-red parts I am aware off: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=53705&name=Minifigure, Weapon Axe Head, Clip-on&category=[Minifigure, Weapon]#T=S&C=17&O={"color":17,"rpp":"500","iconly":0} Or if you want it trans-clear, maybe these can work: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?P=44676&colorID=12
  9. That is absolutely insane. One of the most mind-blowing creations out there. Congrats!
  10. And here is my version: Yet another build full of surprises, interesting techniques and nice panelwork. I changed a few bits on the front to black because it was just too much lime for my taste. The door mechanism works like a treat. I like that a lot. Although I miss HOG steering and in cabin shifting. I would have preferred HOG steering over HOG shifting personally.
  11. Nuremberg Toy Fair is usually when some stuff gets shown or announced. This year it's February 2nd to February 6th. But I think we might get some official images in the coming few weeks, at least of the January sets.
  12. I'm not Bruno, but in my experience chains don't work that well in LEGO. I personally only used them a couple of times, but the issues are always the same. For one they are quite weak. It doesn't take much force to separate the links. And with how deep they're buried inside the chassis, fixing it would be a pain. Secondly they tend to be either too loose or too tight. Either resulting in weak transmission or a lot of friction. I can't even imagine the issues CaDA would have. The quality seems to not quite be the same as LEGO so these issues could be even bigger. Gears are definitely my preferred option, which in this case is definitely the best.
  13. Yeah, there is no way a bike will replace the massively successful “UCS” supercars. Even if not everyone is a fan, they sell very very well. They wouldn’t skip out on another massively successful set in exchange for an experimental motorcycle.
  14. The 1:8 series sells like hot cakes. If there is anything big corporations like above anything else, it’s money. So no, no way they will replace them. I’m sure if this BMW sells well we’ll also get a successor in 2024.
  15. Like the Porsche GT3RS?
  16. Maybe the front tyres of the 1989 Batmobile. They’re approximately the same diameter as the classic 1:10 street tyres but the walls are thicker.
  17. Looks great. Looking forward to seeing progress and eventually seeing it finished.
  18. Which seems quite odd if you ask me, given there is one on Rebrickable with suspension and remote control drive and steering. Admittedly, it does affect the looks (particularly the front axle(s?)), but not substantially enough that I would consider it to look worse.
  19. Looks pretty good. For €100 that’s a great parts pack. I’ll definitely buy a few when the price drops (around €70 probably).
  20. Maybe something like the 42039 prototype’s wheelarch panels: (Please remove if a leaked pic from a 2015 set isn’t allowed)
  21. Yeah, if there was someone selling 9 for that price. Like I said: most only have 1 or 2. That means you have to order from 4 or 5 stores just for one part, which means 4 times shipping and handling costs.
  22. Well, I used about 40 (out of 50-some I have in total) of them this year. A lot of them are used for @Gray Gear’s MOCs but also for a couple other builds.
  23. I only order domestically. There are 32 for sale in the Netherlands, all costing over €1 each plus shipping costs. The majority of sellers only have one or two in stock. So yes, I consider them rare and expensive.
  24. The CAT bulldozer brought a rare and expensive part back: 44809 in black
