  1. Is this the first time Lego have re-released an almost identical set? I'm very happy, I was in the dark ages when this first came out!
  2. Outstanding!! Great dedication
  3. Beautiful! Cracking MOC
  4. Thanks for the pics both! Some of the items on display are stunning!!
  5. These are amazing! Yooha you are one skilled builder!
  6. Hi All, Firstly thanks to all for the help throughout this thread, great help. I've just finished bricklinking and building my GG, but I decided not to build with the green groove bricks as they were just too expensive, and when my kids grow old enough to play with it, I don't want to be worried about any damage (I used teeth quite a lot when I was younger...) Here's a pic for anyone wondering what it looks like with plain bricks and not grooved ones. I have literally replaced with normal 1x2's in the hope that those bricks come out again one day.... http://i.imgur.com/ZCq8uWH.jpg?1 I choose to do Green instead of Blue as I think it looks better. The wood over the door I'm not so sure of, but I'll see. I ordered the wrong colour for the lamps over the entrance to the apartments which I'll fix later. The build was brilliant though, loved every minute of it! Cheers Dylan
  7. Do you know why it is jecky? I guess it is because of the gaps between the teeth of the gears... ?
  8. fantastic! Great job and something (once I've finished bricklinking all the old sets I've missed out on) I'd love to do!
  9. Could you mod the ferries wheel to gear the motor down? That way you can save $15, but on the downside you'd only have one speed
  10. Good effort! Well done brick on!
  11. amazing! Great work
  12. My German is a bit rusty, but thanks for a great review! Especially the comparison with the town hall
  13. Amazing! And thank you
  14. Dear Sir, Whilst I think the MOC is utterly brilliant and amazing, I have to complain. I'd never been that interested in Monster Fighters until this post, and now I find myself much poorer, but the proud owner of a Haunted House set! Damn eBay. Love it! Cracking design
  15. Good point David, it does seem strange. Does LEGO take any notice of 'leaks' (I mean it was never officially unveiled at say the Toy show in NY, it was just at a show) and has decided to modify it a bit based on the negativity around the helicopter? I am however recently back from the dark ages, so maybe this is perfectly normal..
  16. Thanks! I think you have worse dust issues than me! Haha thanks! I did watch the orginal (and best, voiced by Ringo Starr) so maybe I had that somewhere in my head... Many thanks, and for noticing the details. After building some modulars, I've really learnt to look closer. It's also a bit of fun to model it with the figures 'shovling' coal in!
  17. Finished! And wow, are photos difficult to take! Random Wizard figure for scale. (and dust) And finally, battery and motor in tender, with coal for the on off switch (and more dust - seriously, where is it coming from, it was built less than 2 days ago!!) Bricklink is awesome (my wallet would say otherwise!) Thanks for the earlier comments all
  18. Thanks Henrik, you already have mine!
  19. Agree with Henrik, if we show LEGO that there is more demand for trains, then they are more likely to produce them... Self promotion...My Project - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/102261 Cheers Dylan
  20. Thanks and ahh yes. The job of picking any colour in LDD does not work so well in life. I'm thinking of shaving/sanding off the 'friction' pins so I can still use blue. I didn't notice as I was ordering them on Bricklink, but you are right!! Thanks! Originally it was black trim, but I needed something to brighten it up a bit. Blue and Gold work so well together!
  21. Love it! 60008 is a cracking little set. You've given me a few ideas.....
  22. Hi All, I've finished (and also renamed) my old WIP (http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=108092) Azure Blue - Model T *Edit* Adding a photo of the finished model Renders: And (thanks to my wife) it's now been approved on LEGO Ideas! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/102261 As it seems there is no Creator Train coming soon, I want to show that there is demand for LEGO trains. I'd appreciate any support. I've been a bit sneaky and added a carriage which is very similar to the Emerald Night one: If it ever made it into a set, then it would be easy to modify to get it back to the Emerald night ones! I missed out on the LEGO set, but have bricklinked a carriage, so I'll build it in the original colours. I've got all the bricks now and will be building and updating with real world pics over the weekend! Have a good one Cheers Dylan
  23. woah! Do you have more pics of your town/ It looks amazing
