  1. Going to have to agree Did some reading on Bluetooth low energy (BLE) vs WiFI Direct and vs Bluetooth. BLE sounds like the obvious choice, especially with Boost using BLE as well. For backwards compatibility, does the new controller also have IR, or maybe you just use the old controller... Fingers crossed for an app, or at least the ability to code our own.
  2. Interesting thought. Agree that it could be RF based on the Batmobile rumour that someone else mentioned. I don't know enough about RF, are you limited to only a few channels? Also, (completely guessing here) I would have thought WiFi components are now cheaper due to everything connecting to wifi these days. If WiFi I hope we get some tools, apps to program the trains.
  3. Like them both! No stickers yet - The timetable / train network sticker is missing in the middle of the picture of 60197, so I wonder how many other stickers are missing? 60197 looks like a clever mechanism between carriages to narrow the gap (could be just good photography / angle though...) Both do include lots of track (straights included), as you can see from 60198's picture, you can just see the top of the box of both sets. Bit small, and odd that only one junction is included in 60198? There is a word under +PowerFunctions. Can anyone make it out? @JEB314 (James) any idea? Also, based on the symbol, it looks like WiFi not Bluetooth or IR? I think the circular dot symbolises wifi, because it's quite different to the current logo. I like that the new controller looks like a 2x1 brick, at least the prototype does. Quoting myself? I'm sure that against some rules :) Can't see any IR receiver 'humps' / domes in either picture.........
  4. Thank you so much!
  5. Thanks James! Is the controller new? Is it Bluetooth or something else? Backwards compatible? On the trains - do they look similar to the Reddit pictures?
  6. You called it! any other rumours you know of? ?
  7. Thanks CapitaoHook! I took a quick look at the prices in FT, and for AS (10255), the FT price is 20% higher than the GBP price from the Lego.com website. Taking that into account: 10256: Expert Creator - 114,990Ft ~ £265. Same price as Ninjago city, so could have anywhere around 4,500 - 5,000 pieces. Taj Mahal could be a decent rumour, or Eiffel Tower, but hoping for something new. 10260: Expert Creator - 49,990Ft ~ £120. Same as the old price of the modulars. Now they are £142, which is almost exactly 49,990Ft in GBP (£144). Looks to be the next modular. 10261: Expert Creator - 99,990Ft ~ £230. Hoping the same as others for a Roller Coaster. Joker Manor at £249 is close in price, but also has a license fee included. That set had c. 3,500 pieces, so a decent amount of parts to build the structure. 10262: Expert Creator - 44,990Ft ~ £105. Creator cars a bit less at £75, so I'm really hoping for a Train! Wishful thinking possibly. 10263: Expert Creator - 29,990Ft ~ £70. Right price for either next Winter Village (current ones are £75) or Expert car.
  8. Looks epic!!! How are they?
  9. Really nice! Much prefer the red to yellow, possibly due to the uk heritage :) can you tell me more about the render under osx? I thought it only worked under windows
  10. It might not be announced in the middle of the mystery box unveiling? It might confuse to release something that isn't the 'mystery' in between, I think, the next two teasers. Just a possibility.
  11. Outstanding!!
  12. Thanks @coaster! Looking forward to 2018
  13. Congrats Coaster! I too would second the idea. I'd love to buy r56 curves from you, and I'd happily pre order to give you the funds in advance. Personal layout doesn't stretch to the curves you have .... yet!
  14. Thanks THERIZE! MkIII is being worked on now, based on feedback and testing the brick built version - funny how it all works in LDD :)
  15. I'd order a box of those wheels!
  16. Stunning work!
  17. I really like the way you have integrated the modular buildings with the road plates, making the extra width into parking spaces and trees and such. Looks really good!
  18. I paid 230 (UK pounds) after selling some sets like you - Missed out on it completely. Best decision as the Haunted House is fantastic!
  19. Love it! Nice bright colours and a funny backstory. Not sure I'd order something containing eyeballs though.......
  20. Just what I was thinking! I'm getting mine for Xmas (present to myself...) so good to know it'll still be around
  21. Thanks both. Guess I might stop bricklinking the old modulars.... Lego should open a vote for old sets to re-release!
