  1. Excellent idea and a nice implementation!!! Especially the point where you explain the presence of pigs in the island is really well thought of! Not that Corries need any more gold after this month's MRCA...! P.S: I use this middle part that holds the golden coins as treasure part, myself too
  2. Yeap, these panel do add A LOT to the whole building. And so does the roof and the troops!
  3. Hehehe, i was doing the same yesterday(or the day before that. I am losing track of time). Happy times! Oh, and do spice up the description a bit as it will attract more players/dwellers imo.
  4. CB4's way of constructing the hull is a true feat of LEGO mechanics and although i dont know if this is sturdy or not (for swooshing playing purposes), i find it one of the best yet hull designs a LEGO brickbuilt ship can have. Also huge thanks for all the deconstructing photos as i am already reverse engineering them. And another thanks to Kurigan this time for bringing up these links/threads. I think i must learn to dig deeper in this forum after all
  5. Hehehe! Excellent depiction of the realities of a naval officer's life ! Little Hermes was surely not cut out for you And at least you didn't sink it just like some other "Sea Rats" did!!!! I wish us all greater ships and even greater profits and glory! Furniture is really good, especially the one with the bottles on top. What i dont like, furniture-wise are those black chairs which i find too modern imo.
  6. After much pain and hurry, here is my answer to the Duel: Feast at "The Spin of Fate" Hugo wasn't eager to fight as due to his character, took it lightly as every other thing in his life. Or was arrogant enough and was sure to win? So one day before the duel, he called his friends from the fleet for a drink, at "The Spin of Fate", where the drinks are cold and the girls are hot! The establishment took its name after the wheel (of fortune) that you can see right above the door that leads to the kitchen. That wheel belonged to the first owner of this place that came to the Sea of Storms with all his belongings on a cart. I had tons of fun making this build, which reminded me once more that i am a huge minifig and acessories lover and have the fig-fever. If you see some color deviations, it is because with this MOC, my brick stash is officially depleted with all this building the past month and all i have left is black and gray bricks Since i must participate in some minor exhibitions for LUG reasons AND keep building for BoBS (which i absolutely love) i might have to demolish a MOC or two and i will need your help at keeping two of them. But that's another story for another time and thread. Enjoy and sorry if you have an eye-sore after watching due to dim yellow lighting but couldn't wait till morning (job is killing me! hehehe) Oh, can i also use it as free-build afterwards and licence it as a small tavern? I am not sure so please enlighten me. Thanks again! feast at The Spin of Fate by Spy Tha, on Flickr feast at The Spin of Fate closeup by Spy Tha, on Flickr feast at The Spin of Fate foldout by Spy Tha, on Flickr
  7. Bregir my friend!!! Let's have a beer and discuss business! I've got an excellent idea that needs sponsoring! Hehehe!
  8. Hahahahahahahahahahaha!! Poor ship indeed! Someone jinxed it/gave it the evil eye !
  9. Ehrm, i... Am negotiating things :-P and be right back shortly :-)
  10. Hahahaha! One of the most inventive way to show results!!! And a nice incentive showing results as MOCs!! Poor Sea Rats... And even poorer Oleon! So many adversary ship sailing and so little profit for us...! At least we have style!!!
  11. @Gideon: you can always post your property at each settlement's respective thread :-) @MRCA participants: Great fear looms above us all...! There are many ominous signs...sob...
  12. I am impressed of the printing press and the whole atmosphere of the room! It feels so real. What may look a tad modern is the minifig torso which looks like 1850s. Apart from that i find your MOC fascinating! Good reading people!
  13. This thread encompasses all builds within Eltina, on the island of Le Bellan. Name: Eltina Ownership: Nation of Oleon Location: Le Bellan, Jewel of Oleon (Sea of Storms) Mayor: Romain, Mousquetaire du Roi @Bodi Who can own property in Eltina: Anyone Who can freebuild in Eltina: Anyone Coat-of-Arms: Map: Oleon's second colony in the Sea of Storms is situated at the southeastern coast of Le Bellan, at a day's distance from the island's administrative center, Breshaun. Eltina is mainly a sugar plantation hub, with most of its trade centered around sugar canes that are harvested and mainly sent at Breshaun and then back to Oleander mainland. A small quantity of sugar is also sold to the Eslandolan traders of Eltina and Breshaun. Eltina doesn't have much to boast at the moment as it is currently shadowed by Breshaun, but His Majesty's royal civil servants have plans regarding the settlement. The biggest current construction project is deepening its harbor and improving it, in order to withstand the great waves of the eastern Sea of Storms. But that may take some years in order to be completed. As with Breshaun, most of the dwellings are still wooden. 14. Dear Oleanders, check our Breshaun and Eltina threads! Anyone that is interested in posting a building there (in order for the settlements to grow), can do so. Comments are always accepted. Happy building!
  15. This thread encompasses all builds within Breshaun, on the island of Le Bellan. Name: Breshaun, City of Light Ownership: Nation of Oleon Location: Le Bellan, Jewel of Oleon (Sea of Storms) Mayor: Darlin Sisnera (Robinnilsson403) Who can own property in Breshaun: Anyone Who can freebuild in Breshaun: Anyone Coat-of-Arms: Map: Oleon's biggest city in the Sea of Storms is situated at the mouth of Zeusrun River. Breshaun is not only the administrative center of Le Bellan, but has grown to be a cultural beacon and economic powerhouse of great reputation, far beyond Oleon's borders. Founded as a testament of our nation's will to explore and colonize, the city honors the heritage of general Breshaun - founder and patron - and with its robust defenses, protected harbor and sizable military presence, Breshaun protects Oleon's interests in the region, and serves as prime gateway to project His Majesty's will onto New Terra. Its most important exporting goods are still sugar canes produced in large quantities by the many sugar plantations, mainly held and run by Oleander nobility or their squires. But beyond that, Breshaun has developed into a center of the silver industry - mines in the hinterland of Le Bellan as well as on other islands provide the precious resource for the factories, filling the city's coffers and of course those of the Royal Court in Granoleon. Because of its administrative nature and the number of nobility living around the settlement running their plantations and chateaus, the city has acquired a taste for good living and a bustling social life, as balls and any kind of festivities are often held at the Mayor's mansion or at the Loggia, the house where the nobility likes to do business and pass its time when not hunting with hawks or owls. Despite the recent economic boom, most of the buildings are still wooden, but the settlement is currently part of a huge redesigning project headed by the famous King's architect, Roseabeau. Oleon must show its glory in the colonies! Natural Growth: 5% Natural Growth. Each month currently adds 7 NPC Residences. 16. A nice ship. You surely dipped into deep waters with that brickbuilt hull. I am playing it safe for now with the prefabs mainly due to the steep learning curve and the lack of uniformly colored bricks. On your ship design now, i really like your version of hull and rigging as she is a cog but i would like to see fore and aft castle a bit more blended into the hull. Right now they feel as they are a bit off and a simple wave can tear them apart. Green color is not bad too imo as it gives a certain Caribbean.. ehm...Terraversan feel!
  17. I like it!!! We Oleanders always take care of our army boys! A rich MOC that really shows a hub of trade activity. And i don't know if the photo got accidentally "yellowish" but it definitely gives an certain atmosphere that i really like!
  18. A nice ship! I like her size and hull. And her colors. What would make her shine, would be another sail pattern though, since i dont know why but it feels a bit off (ask Bregir about more details).
  19. Very nice building with a real Eslandolan vibe on it! I wish you great sales!
  20. A nice fist ship! I will also agree with our ship expert (although a hated Corrie) more or less. I feel you for the variety of colors due to lack of bricks (LUGBUUUUULK COME SOONER PLZ PLZ PLZ!!!!!). A few fast changes (purely personal opinion) would be to lower the cabin, maybe add another mast if you like and make your own custom sails so they feel more natural. Even if you don.t have any handy cloth to tear, you can always use a sheet of paper. What i really liked in your build, is the custom canons and the variety of cannon ammunition, e.g. canonballs, chainshots, grapeshots (the clip piece)? etc in your crates! It is a fine detail if i may say so. Oh, and the figurehead! That alone makes the MOC one click better! Also since i am not flickr expert (started using it since i joined EB), i cant say how to do it, but your linked pics must be a bit smaller (no idea how they ended up that big though). Tremble enemies of Oleon! Our fleet-in-being is forming!
  21. Getting my swimsuit and off i go! Nice build!
  22. Let me get eaten!!! Who needs builds when you have SCENARIO!!! Man, every time i see a thread by yours, i save it for last to savor it! Hehehe! P.S: Ofc I like your MOC too, especially the part when the sea meets the sand. It feels so natural.
  23. Everything is stunningly beautiful and astonishingly implemented! How can you not take pride of Oleon when even mere houses are a sight to behold! I am glad we have you on board Gid!
  24. Niiiice :-) wood covering the walls looks almost real! And that rapier holding brick is a nice idea too!
