  1. Thank very much for the kind comments, pleasured to know people liked it @metrapoliten It is a linkage system similar to those in recent lego sets and Return-to-Center is done via the white hockey spring @Nebulaire It is just two of the small wheels with pneumatic hose wrapped around and fixed using a t-piece. I'll see what I can do with the wing, not much red to work with ;-; I'll shoot a video tomorrow with the "drift" tires (taped up rear tires) as there's little space inside to drive normally (it was very fast last time I checked and since then not much weight has been added).
  2. After thinking for some time decided not to enter the Nova car into the competition as it wasn't exactly fitting into the scale of the Car Transporter even though it fit fit within dimension box. Also wanted to make something unique in functionality. the former WIP car will be fitted with RC and finished afterwards. Here's a working prototype of a driven front axle with split drivetrains to maximize engine bay space and ground clearance (whopping 2 studs!!!!). Please note that the chassis structure is temporary! Instead of flexible hose in the suspension I would prefer using springs, but that is "illegal" according to rules of no modification of parts. Cya.
  3. @johnnym Completely agree on the Mustang thing, however these CaDa sets seem to be made not only for children as there's no color vomit inside, and Lego... well apparently not many kids could be so clever so as to change a few things in a built model to motorise it. Visited their YT channel, and these tires from C61018 super-car are amazing, even what seem to be CHROME rims!!!! I'll probably bite the hook and buy something from them
  4. Damn, as far as I can tell it is indeed an original set. Manual is 64 euro; RC version is 105 euro, which is less than the Top Gear abomination from lego that requires a smartphone to even work. Bravo to CaDa, I'll be looking into their sets now even more, as they seem to be both original and interesting. Tempted to buy it as well, would be of great display model.
  5. Hello, here's a thing I've been working on and off for some time now. Started off a as drift car in 1/11th scale, but then just flowed down into a simple street tuner build. Itasha definition from Wikipedia - In Japan, an itasha is a car decorated with images of fictional characters of anime, manga, or video games. Features: Openable scissor doors, bonnet and boot NOS and TV screen in the boot Interior with steering wheel, bucket seats, "rollcage" and audio system. "Engine cover" with turbo and honeycomb airfilter RC via BuWizz Drive with 2x buggy motors from fastest output Steering with m-motor Custom graphics of C.C. from Code Geass (linked in my signature) as well as sparco, koni and buwizz "sponsor" decals Sorry for crappy photos, only have smartphone at hand. I'll try to film it driving indoors or sneak into the building's hallway today or tomorrow. Cya!
  6. Kei cars are very interesting vehicles, too bad there's no lower tax on such vehicles outside Japan as many of them are fantastic feats of minituarization and ergonomics. Looking forward to this model!
  7. Thnks, here the vehicle in question (it has only served as an inspiration to build something futuristic) And here's a draft of approximate shape I'd like to end with: Twizy-esque 3-4 seater ATV. However I'm not sure I should upload it to TC18 as it would fit by dimensions but is definitely not 1/15 scale...
  8. thanks for comments, @Rudivdk indeed, the travel is large as it almost bottoms out when fully compressed due to how the linkage arm is setup, however I would like it to be an ATV-esque setup car as it even has offroad tires on this version))) made some progress, changed the steering from the weird setup to a normal rack-and-pinion. Added scissor doors and some front work in LDD. made a seat mockup as well, expecting to have two independent "buckets" on front and bench thingy on rear. Currently missing some parts IRL as they're used in something I'll hopefully post soon cya soon
  9. Powered by BuWizz V1. Drive: 1x M-motor. Steering: 1x M-motor Video: WIP photos:
  10. I got bored so I modified parts to build as my lazy a$$ wants to. First version (development November 2019-january 2020) Uses springs from TLG shocks, very high. Only mod part is the cut 6L link to make two 1L axle+ towball hook parts. 14 studs wide. steering rack very high, otherwisee no issues. LDD file for chasssis (only axles work irl) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LXF/darosuqtsport/darosu_qt_sport_4x4.lxf 2nd (current) version: I was hoping to make it fully from OG parts, but bottom "wishbone" is needed otherwise wheels have negative camber and eventually flop to the side. This time rubber thingys are used instead of springs, giving it excellent height clearance (under the chassis it is 1 stud or a bit less where differential gear pops down) 15 studs wide, but I'm working on 14 studs now, as the steering needs to be different. Currently the light bley towballs can popout during suspension work, so I might glue them into the perpendicular connector. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LXF/darosuqtsport/fwdindepsteer.lxf Final plan is to have a 14 studs wide RC AWD car, probably something similar to a Daihatsu Mira or Suzuki Wagon R kei cars. If I somehow get my hands on Effermann's 2L wide diff it'll probably be even more compact and have better interior.
  11. Not a first, but a neat solution. Love the design, hopefully we'll get these wheelarches in other colours, probably would look good in light bley, lime or blue.
  12. Surprisingly, finding this set more interesting than initially, personally black is welcome and I'm happy to see a mostly black chassis as well. I am however surprised as to why the new 3x11 curved panel design was used as it looks horrendous combined with the small 3x7 curved panels than have just 2 visible pinholes. From the photos the "old" panel mould would be a direct or almost direct drop in replacement on the bodywork. I am very happy to see small steering hubs and other rare parts in the set however. Wheelie "bar" or playfeature is welcome if it is spring loaded and not the awfully slow mini LA dragster funny car scenario. Wheels have always been awfully wide, and I do hope TLG will make a thinner version someday. As a final remark, 41999 front (all muscle looks the same to me, sorry) was way better done without employing System parts, this one looks awfully messy IMO. And no chromed parts on this one I guess it includes the new diff, so that might be the final counterweight to buy it as a parts pack for me (if on sale).
  13. Interesting idea, really love how realistic-looking the fishing rods turned out on it. Reminded me of Richard Hamsters Hammonds' TVS from Mozambique special for some reason hahah
  14. 5. Ugly Duckling Experimental nuclear-powered buggy stolen from a secret lab. Entry topic: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/175624-wiptc17-ugly-duckling/
  15. Finished product: Unfortunately wasn't able to find any usable brown pieces, and didn't want to waste money on one-off usage parts so Blacken The Black Photos made on a mountain park (forgot to charge up the BuWizz goddamnit), video on city beach where it ran surprisingly well on wet sand.
  16. As much as it is dissapointing to think, Dom's charger is the safest money investment set TLG can make, not to mention it being confirmed. new license from Mitsubishi as well as movie-accurate sponsor decals (from which some are long dead I believe) = added cost Muscle cars are big in USA and have fans in other countries as well Flashy "riced out" cars aren't everyone's cup of tea by far at have fallen out of mainstream car modding for a decade or so Boxy = easier to replicate, just look at the mediocre Corvette set. Also, black hides imperfections better. Eclipse was blown up very fast and charger was used in various movies. As to the size... most probably the same as that creator muscle car. Hopefully someday there will be a technic car that isn't a UCS shelf model of supercar or an american model Some worldwide famous Japanese cars in the lineup wouldn't hurt.
  17. Yo there. After complete lack of inspiration and miserable attempts at building came up with this. Probably will need some color randomization or something, otherwise getting there so far. Imo shall an apocalypsis start, gasoline would be real tough to find (diesel seems to be more omnivore) so electric buggy powered by a mini nuclear reactor mwahahahahah. Albeit getting uranium might be harder than fuel... or not, who knows. Pictures taken with smartphone as the camera is being repaired and camcorder doesn't take great pictures, sorry for of quality for now. Powered by BuWizz V1, twin Buggy Motors directly powering tumbler wheels from fastest output, front hockey spring rtc through m-motor. Rear winch through m-motor worm-8 teeth gearmesh and single pulley in the hook itself using mechanical advantage principle. Cya l8tr
  18. unfortunately the solution has already been invented yet not used officially: (this part has been around for 25 years now ) The set seems like a good parts pack (all the new transmission parts + suspension components). Hopefully there will be more sets using that colour and it won't be a one off as the 42069
  19. Imo one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Very interesting solution with the turntables, the engine bay seems to be spacious and well detailed so far. Will be exciting to see the end result
  20. It reminds me of Nissan Juke with those headlights Seems to be a crazy beast so far, hook arm seems to be a fitting add-on.
  21. QB stands for quick build - this was a veeery fast paced build (overall build time 7-8 hours). The outcome is proportionally ugly and unfunctional. Front independent suspension, rear floating(?) axle [9398 style], v6 engine sped up with 1:2334 gear ratio from rear wheels. Working steering wheel and HOG. Hood, doors and trunk openable. Crude interior with 2x blue seats. Cya later!
  22. Looking fantastic! Absolutely love the pearl effect on painted wheels An easy way to get the rare black pins (come on TLG, not that hard to make them again instead of the colour vomit guts) is to cut 1 stud off the axle on 18651 (done that myself ), which are very common nowadays (1 cent per part on BL)
  23. Simply says "defender". In regards of the set, the functionality, small package and reasonable price point really make me want to buy this set (hadn't bought anything new for the last 2-3 years) but the overall design (last decade cars are not my cup of tea), colour choice and the unbearable colour vomit inside are really putting off, but I don't think it is enough so as not to buy one eventually. And new deep wheels, albeit still W I I I D E.
  24. New parts, same limitations... However I don't think grease will have any issue - PF ( and older motors) don't tend to need regreasing after years of service. Even so, it is sad to see so much investment produce somewhat underperforming (at least it seems so) products. Or maybe certain lego motors from 2006 are too OP for 2019 new gen stuff
  25. It is 1:15 scale (I think) so there's quite many - most cars with 43.2 wheels could fit there. In regards of the driveline - not that it is programmed or replaces exactly a differential, the driveline is split to left and right, so the decrease in one motor's speed (caused by turning) won't affect the other one. Basically the inner motor in a turn will suffer a little but the outer one won't be affected.
