  1. Aww, this was sort of heart breaking and at the very same time totally hilarious! Awesome work! The animation was smooth and well done! And my god, that dolly shot! Awesome, AWESOME Job! Truly well done! The voices and all were great, and the subject is quite well chosen as well! Not to mention we all have done it, heck, on Eurobricks we sort of keep complaining about sets and figures a lot, which is rather funny! So I'd say, thanks for the thoughtful insight, even though it was really hilarious! Nice little secret video with the hair growing animation as well! Hadn't heard of your channel yet, so consider me your newest fan! +1 Subscriber! Keep Filmin' dude! You're awesome
  2. Welcome to Eurobricks Galactic13! We aren't that many Brickfilmers in here, so anybody who loves animation is more than welcome! Awesome Lord of the Rings and Hobbit stuff by the way! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
  3. Great work Galactic13! The animation is very smooth and the overall editing is also great! Just a slight tip, I think the action sequences could have used some more dynamic camera work and more frames, it pauses the action otherwise, but other than that, great work!
  4. Thank you once again WhiteFang for this awesome and detailed review! Some great figures here! That spooky girl is a must for any Harry Potter fan : HAVE YOU SEEN THAT HAIR?! I see Cho Chang material written all over! Anyway, other than that, I really like the Pizza Delivery guy and the wonderful gamer, and my favorite being the Jester, he's so cool! Great work once more WhiteFang and thank you for the time and effort put into this review!
  5. I sure do! I'd give anything for the theme to come back. Heck, I'm still hoping someone's going to make something epic on LEGO Ideas, I might try and make something myself, even though I highly doubt LEGO would let it pass through. The thing I'm saddest about is probably the lack of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw torsos, the rest, I'd much rather MOC around, but figures, yeah, that's a little thing that bothers me, Cho Chang, Mundungus, Percy, Fleur Delacour, and even important people like Slughorn, Kingsley or Tonks. But yes, I miss the Harry Potter lines, the excitement and discovery of new stuff.
  6. Those look awesome! Is it just me or does the upper right car look like a real life version of McQueen from Cars? Even though some unhappy environmental organization comes to mind as I see those pictures, all I am willing to see is brickgasmic pleasure!....... This looks spectacular You sir, just made my day! I laughed way harder than I should have at this!
  7. Thank you Legocrazy81, be sure to keep an eye for more, there will be new episodes coming! Wow! Whitefang! It's an honor! Thanks a lot for the praise! Much appreciated :) Sorry if this topic turned into anything it wasn't supposed to be, I'm sure Zblij was simply trying to be helpful and nice. But I understand it could be annoying. I hope you were able to appreciate and enjoy the stop motion nevertheless Ecclesiastes.
  8. Wow! Not a big Spiderman fan or expert for that matter, but this Rhino looks wonderful! It looks charmingly blocky! But not in the LEGO blocky way, but in the good rocky blocky way :) I used the word blocky way too much in this reply but no matter. I like this little creation quite a lot in fact, especially since it seems very movable and articulate, which, as an animator always makes me enthusiastic! Awesome job
  9. Oh! This is great news, should this all turn out to be official, even though it seems to be on the right way, this would actually make up for quite some new epic Dino Sets. I didn't get around on buying any in the past lines, but I'm definitely not going to miss on this one! Woohoo 2015 is getting better and better
  10. Thanks kyleclemente9, As for Zblj, thanks for all the support! You seem to have something to do with this reaching the front page! So many thanks for that
  11. Wow, thanks everybody for the kind and wonderful replies, it's really cool to have such nice reviews and comments! Thank you so much DarkDragon for your wonderful comment and of course, how can I thank you for putting this up front on the home page.
  12. No Idea. In fact I'm not even sure there is one. Or at least not to this specific to this forum as far as I know of.
  13. I know, right? I posted this by accident in the Licensed forum as I was thinking Harry Potter = Licensed, before I realized it had to be put into the Brickfilms forums, but some admin did the job for me, and since then, the topic has been deserted Haha
  14. Thank you everyone for the kind replies, be sure to spread the word, it really helps. Why thank you for the praise, I wouldn't even dare to aspire to a front page mention, but we perhaps could try to pressure the mods into it ahaha I'm very glad that you guys appreciated it :) Especially I may say since you weren't Harry Potter fans to start with, that surely means a lot.

Suddenly, a thunderous crack rips through the neighborhood, and Harry leaps up so quickly that he smashes his head on the window, alerting his aunt and uncle to his hiding place in the garden. Harry is sure that the crack was someone either Apparating or Disapparating, and he leaves Privet Drive to investigate its source. Harry wanders off to a local playground and watches as his cousin, Dudley, leading a gang of delinquents, slinks past. He approaches Dudley, and the two boys begin to argue as the night becomes pitch black and very cold. Harry realizes that dementors are about to attack. After much struggle, Harry uses his wand to summon a Patronus stag, and the stag saves both boys. Mrs. Figg, Harry’s neighbor, comes running toward them. She tells Harry that someone named Mundungus Fletcher had been ordered to follow him and keep him safe, but that Mundungus must have left his watch to buy more stolen cauldrons. Mrs. Figg warns Harry that Dumbledore will soon know he’s used his magic outside of Hogwarts. Suddenly, Harry hears another crack, and Mundungus appears. Mrs. Figg demands that Mundungus return to Hogwarts immediately and explain to Dumbledore why Harry needed to use his magic. Harry and Dudley return to Privet Drive. While entering, Dudley vomits and falls over. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon answer the door and fuss over him, demanding to know exactly what happened. Dudley points to Harry, and as Harry begins to explain, an owl flies through an open window, dropping a letter that expels Harry from Hogwarts for improper use of magic and announces that someone will be arriving shortly to destroy his wand. Another owl arrives, carrying a special kind of letter known as a Howler, which literally howls its message to its recipient. The owl bypasses Harry and deposits the letter on Petunia’s head. The letter howls: “Remember my last, Petunia.” Petunia demands that Harry stay, despite Vernon’s wishes. Petunia refuses to tell Harry what the message means and insists that he not leave his room. After wakening from a terrible nightmare, Harry heads downstairs to investigate a noise coming from the kitchen. He is greeted by a group of wizards: Mad-Eye Moody, Professor Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Elphias Doge and Sturgis Podmore, and Hestia Jones. They have come to transport him somewhere safe to await his hearing without further danger. __________________________ And some fun Statistics : 7318 Pictures Shot with a CANON EOS 600D (T3i) Edited in Sony VEGAS Pro 13.0 Special Effects in Adobe After Effects CS6 Digital 3D Modeling by Dt98Films Sound Recording and Correcting in Audacity Mouth and Eye Animation in Photofiltre Facial Animation in Anmanie SMP ___________________________ C.C always appreciated! 16. Thanks everybody! Sorry for the late reply, I don't check out the forum as I should these days! ^^ Anyway, thank you for the compliment and as a matter of fact I use a CANON EOS 600D (t3i) Camera, and used both Sony Vegas for editing (picture assembly so to say) and After Effects for the color correction and overal visual effects. Some GIMP was involved for the mouths as well. I hope that answers your question. Cheers, Geertos13
  17. Hey Eurobricks! I just uploaded a little Harry Potter short to YouTube that I thought would be nice to share here :) Please enjoy the Shrieking Shack climax In which Harry Ron and Hermione start back to the castle, Crookshanks chases Scabbers, and a big black dog drags Ron into a tunnel under the Whomping Willow. Crookshanks stops the tree from attacking Harry and Hermione, and they follow the cat down the tunnel to emerge in the Shrieking Shack outside Hogsmeade. They find Ron a captive of Black, who disarms them. Harry attacks Black, and with Ron and Hermione overpowers him, but Crookshanks stands between Harry and Black when Harry threatens to kill him. Lupin arrives and admits that he's Black's friend and a werewolf. It is revealed that Scabbers is an Animagus named Peter Pettigrew. Lupin tells the story of his becoming a werewolf and of his school days with James Potter, Sirius Black, and Severus Snape, the last of whom now appears. Snape threatens Lupin and Black with the Dementors, Harry Ron and Hermione disarm Snape, Lupin and Black tell the truth about Harry's parents' deaths, Scabbers reverts back to Peter Pettigrew, the truth comes out about all the players in the drama, revealing that Pettigrew was responsible for the Potters' deaths, and Harry keeps Lupin and Black from killing Pettigrew. --CAST-- Geertos13 as Harry Potter DT98Films as Ronald Weasley Potterminifigfilms as Hermione Granger Druox as Sirius Black Kyle Smiley as Remus Lupin Mustardmanzz as Severus Snape Sean Strawson as Peter Pettigrew
  18. The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit Series in Particular seem to be full of Harry Potter potential, which isn't that surprising after all when you think of it. I'm surprised nobody went into detailling all the minifigure pieces to be used. Gandalf makes a great Aberforth, as somebody stated above. Those new torsos, especially Frodo, Pippin and Bilbo, with the velvets design are very close to what Harry Potter figs are wearing. I'm thinking of Horace Slughorn, Arthur Weasley or Ministry Officers for instance. I myself use Frodo's head as Quirrel, it works wonders! The dwarfs are very useful when it comes to create a variety of wizards. One of them, forgot his name, can be given longer legs and a new hairpiece but looks great as Grindelwald or Gregorovitch. I use Lupin's hair with Samwise's face as well to create a custom Percy, it looks perfect! The rather strict expression on Sam's face (that doesn't really fit him IMO) works perfect for Percy. Smeagol could work as Kreacher as a last resort, although he might too recognizable and symbolical to be of great use. No to mention the ring is of great use as Marvolo Gaunt's ring, And you actually can put a red 1X1 tile in it to sell the effect of a resurection stone! Shelob, as somebody already stated works great as Aragog, especially the foldable legs are of great use when it comes to making the spider look dead and lie on it's back. Truly works for the Half Blood Prince scenes!
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks! I'm glad to see a new (potential) Hobbit fan, as I enjoy that theme as well. Do you do some MOCing as well? Brickfilming? Customisation? Or are you a true collector, meaning collecting for the only purpose of collecting? I love that as well. Millenium Falcon is a great start! That is one lovely set! Cheers, Geertos13
  20. Hello Eurobricks! It's finally Here! Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince PART 9! the stop motion phenomenon is back! Harry discovers his newfound popularity, learns that Stan Shunpike has been arrested, and holds a frustratingly massive Quidditch tryout that includes a run-in with Cormac McLaggen and ends with Katie, Ginny, and Ron making the team. They visit Hagrid and learn that Aragog is dying, Harry confronts Hermione about having confunded McLaggen during the tryout. Malfoy has somehow introduced a possible dangerous object into Hogwarts, the question is why, and how? 21. Hi Eurobricks, This is Geertos13. I am currently working on the sequel of my feature film The Mystery of the Yellow Room, available HERE. For those of you who have seen the movie, you'll have noticed the more or less open ending. That brings us to the sequel that is The Perfume of the Lady in Black. But long story short! In this particular book, I am dealing with some trouble and I thought this would be the right forum to get answers but if anyone thinks this is better placed in the Brickflicks forum then please go ahead and movie it. Now, I would like to get your opinion on this. In one important scene of the Perfume of the Lady in Black, the two heroes (Joseph Rouletabille and John Sainclair) are having lunch with the rest and at one point, they have the impression that the main antagonist is among them. Sainclair feels Larsan(the villain)is watching them. Only problem; who is Larsan in disguise? As everybody is wearing sunglasses, we can't see their eyes and the fact that we can't is essential! This is how the movie dealt with this scene, but I'm personnally not to fond of the way that scene turned out and it's all different in LEGO style. Now, my question is more for the execution on my part. As I really can't do without I was wondering if any of you had some ideas for the customisation. I am quite a purist and I need most of the heads again later on so I can't really permit myself to paint anything on them that can't be rubbed out but if that's the only possible way out of it, I'll order a second pair of heads. Photoshopping could also be a last resort. I'd much rather have some real ones though as drawing them on digitally probably won't look good. The real LEGO goggles are of course no option, they look far too big and I don't have enough of them. I am aware that there are real lego pieces with sunglasses and these might work for the most generic faces. Any brickbuilt solutions are welcome too, I've tried black studs but they look like mosquitos with these on! Any other ideas would be welcome!
  22. Hello Eurobricks ! Long time no see ! I haven't had much time to go on Eurobricks but I got a pretty good excuse : I have been working on a one hour adaptation of Gaston Leroux's novel The Mystery of the Yellow Room in Lego style ! Yes ! That's right, one hour of Brickfilming happiness ! The crime takes place at the Chateau du Glandier, located in the forest, near the road leading to Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois and Montlhéry. The daughter of a famous scientist, Mathilda Strangerson(Mplayed by MUSTARDMANZZ) is found the victim of attempted murder. The strange thing is the room is locked from the inside and there are no other ways in. A famous detective, Frederic Larsan(FILMMAKER16) and his colleague Judge Marquet(GEERTOS13) are involved but the young journalist Joseph Rouletabille (GEERTOS13)and his friend John Sainclair(DT98FILMS) are more concerned with unraveling the mystery by use of reasoning and logic. Miss Stangerson is found alone and severely injured, moments after being violently attacked in a locked room at the Chateau, a room with absolutely no possible means of escape for the would-be murderer. Or so it appears. Joseph Rouletabille, journalist/detective, is immediately thrust into the investigation of the insoluble crime that would soon electrify all of France. Rouletabille, a mere eighteen years old, is very much in the tradition of Poe's Dupin, believing rational analysis, rather than crawling on all fours around the crime scene, is the key to unraveling those cases that are genuine puzzles, as this one is. (Not that Rouletabille disdains mundane forensics when called for. And when he chooses to crawl about, he does so with a most discerning eye!) Suspects include the Indian Gamekeeper (JimA73), Father Jacques (CpuWrite), The caretakers, the Burniers (Ryodisis and MustardManzz) and The professor Strangerson (Bhlc11) Ladies and Gentlemen, enjoy a Brickfilm of record breaking length ! You are about to watch THE MYSTERY OF THE YELLOW ROOM ! Comments and Critics are of course appreciated ! (especially critics, I'd love to hear what could be improved !)
  23. That's one great Office BaraSH! That outwits mine by far ^^ The thing I like most about your creation is the gigantic drawers you put in there! Makes the hole thing look just a tiny bit more Filchish'! And Besides, I can really imagine Fred and George steal the Marauder's map from one of those big drawers. The floor and wall texture adds up to the hole thing and the chain detail just owns it! The Filch hair fits great, far better than the grey one, and Goyle's usual dumb expression is as funny as always =) Great job on this one BaraSH, Keep on impressing us with you HP vig's :) PS: Thanks alot for mentionning me too, even though your work defeats mine by far! Awesome job!
  24. Ooh a community build! That's awesome! Great, one of the best ones is open yet, that is to say my personal favorite #15 - The Fat lady's Portrait Hall - 32x32 And, as Pottermore pointed out to me, I am a Ravenclaw This is going to give such awesome things!
  25. Amazing job on this Great MOC! A really wonderful idea! I've seen loads of these over the internet but yours is defenatly one of the best so far! As a HP lover, I of course know that Number one rule at Privet Drive is hard and stiff and no questions And you captured that feeling perfectly well! When I read "both accurate to book and movie" I was expecting some weird looking thing that mixed everything up, but no! It was good! The house of Privet must of course be plain from the outisde as said lightningtiger but the inside detailling is great! Where did you get that TV if I may ask ? I've never seen it before I like the toilets and Harry's room a lot, especially the bars on the outisde, so simple yet so good! I also like the verandah looks really cool! The only thing that bugs me is the fact that it's microscale. It does look gourgeous, but next to the window, it seems a little small... can't imagine Dudley getting his fat a$$ threw these small doors And to finish just one small thing, if I were you, I'd rather have Vernon's hair match the mustache. You probably don't have the pieces for it, but a brown moustache would look slightly better in my opinion. So, this is an amazing building with great detail and nice furniture and accuracy! Great job!
