  1. Well... I never really liked Spongebob, but I wasn't expecting such sucky sets ! probably one of the biggest disapointed LEGO ever made to us I mean seriously, a purple-caped Spongebob ? Well, I think my money won't go into any of these sets...
  2. Excelent Ideas everyone ! Personnaly, If we'd go for a Ministry of Magic set, the Atrium would be perfect ! I can easely imagine a cool Atrium. What about having An Indiana Jones, Temple of the Crystall Skull looking set ? One raised baseplate, why not the one from that set ? With dark green and black brick pattern. On the front, Black Arches and the fountain and the golden Statues. On the Other Side, we'd have on the left and the right two fireplaces, and in the Middle a dark wooden floor, just like the movies. On both sides we'd have two small tower-ish things, some raised platforms just like in the Temple Set. On one of them we would have Umbridge, sitting there with a trans clear cat piece. And on the other, we'd have a dementor or two, swinging through the air. Minifigs : Harry, Ron Hermione ( In the clothes of the Three Ministry officers, with dubble sided heads ) Yaxley, Umbridge, and two golden Wizards for the Statue ? Seems reasonnable doesn't it ?
  3. It is extremly unlikely to ever get a hufflepuf or ravenklaw student ! "Sirius"ly, I cannot think of one important character that belongs in the hufflepuff house on the exception of Cedric Diggory. But LEGO blew that opportunity away while making the sets for the fourth movie. Luna is obviously an important Ravenklaw character, and I could imagine Cho Chang could be important enough to be made into LEGO but that's it. I was already surprised we got a Luna ! I wasn't expecting it at all. As much as I'd love to have a Ravenklaw or Hufflepuf kid wandering around Hogwarts, it just is impossible. I am actually quite happy to have a luna ! Besides, you've heard Tin7's great advertising ! Just print his Decals !
  4. Yaxley does indeed have some potential for a minifigure. But I must say, even he's character was bad megablocks in the movie, if the ministry isn't made into LEGO. There is in my opinion, no other scene he is important enough in. I mean, he probably appear in the Battle of Hogwarts, but won't probably be recognisable in the huge crowd seen in the trailer. I've seen loads of Custom Yaxley's with the Blonde Mme Hooch/Vampire hair. It does look excelent at the front, but it's just missing the pony tail. For some reason, Bellatrix and Greyback also looked impossible to me, LEGO always keeps surprising us. So who knows what's waiting for us in the future ?
  5. Great News indeed ! This new set looks Great ! And I must admitt that all these lovely new minifigures make me all warm and happy inside ! Lucius Malfoy wasn't completely necessary as many people pointed out, but I still thinks another death eater is nice. I do have the old Lucius Malfoy one, the Grey one from the OotP set and the newest one. I must point out However, that this supposed to be a random death eater I think, as he wears the cape hat thing. I truly love the new Lupin, and he looks indeed like the tin7's custom. Wow, calm down ! There's no need fur such behaviour. Everybody has the right to complain about that figure. So we probablyu won't stop doing it. A forum is basically to speak your mind... So please don't "yell" like this at others.
  6. Ooooh ! These pictures look fantastic ! Besides, as a HP fan, some of these head,s hair pieces and bricks will fit in perfectly witrh my collection. I loved Prince of Persia, and these fleshies will only make it more fun Looks like I'll get my hands on at least one of these small cool sets !
  7. Wow, Great entry Oky ! I love the outside, it's original and sweet ! The Inside is lovely too. It has the right Harry potter-ish feel to it, and it's quite true to the Movie. I can already remind me of Draco standing on top of the stairs at the balconies, watching the scene. These Witches do look awfully exited Excelent job, and good luck in the contest !
  8. Thanks alot guys for all your great comments. Even if Oky Wan and some others have suggested other changes, I decided to keep the way it is, as I'm happy with the Final Result. I hope you liked this creation and that You'll help it to earn some votes in the contest !
  9. Nice Entry Duke ! The front windows is nicely built and the inside is detailed enough to get the feeling of the creation. Putting the building up a big grey block does really makes a great Cellar effect ! Though from the front, that Grey Street block is a bit ugly. That little walk down to the front door is very ingenious though so that makes up for it ! I have already seen three Apothecaries ( Strange thing, considering it isn't that an extraordinary building ) and it's funny to see what everybody makes off it, not only all the entries are different but they have a complete different feeling to it, with most of the time, a fabulous architecting ! I love these differences ! Best of luck in the Contest Duke !
  10. Hi Fellow Eurobricks members, Geertos13 here You probably don't know me, because this is the first time I post anything in the Train Tech Forum. The reason that I'm here is because I need your help. Harry Potter is a licensed LEGO Theme and I know this Topic doesn't really belong here for a 100% but I beg the Moderators to please keep it in this Forum. Why ? Well, I am a Harry Potter Brickfilmer, and I am currently making the hole Harry Potter and the Half Blood's book into a LEGO stop Motion movie. The Series, that appear divided in different parts on Youtube, can be watched Here I have finished the first three Parts and Part 4 is ready to be uploaded. In part 5, Harry Potter and his friends will travel to Hogwarts by Hogwarts Express. We have now arrived to my problem. I have a huge Harry Potter Collection and have almost all the sets. Except, you already guess it, The Hogwarts Express ! I have never been into trains that much and now I start regretting that I haven't bought one of the three editions. It's not to late to get myself a copy of the 2010 release, but I do honestly think that I can make a better one myself. I have the emerald night, a bunch of red bricks, and I ordered some exclussive parts from Bricklink that were in the Hogwarts Express set. I need your help to make this creation as beautifull and as realistic. I know this Topic originaly belongs in the Licensed Forum but I think I would get more useful and "professional" help if I posted it in this Forum. I started customizing my Emerald night and turn it red, here are a few pictures I'm also working on King Cross Station, and I might add some Pics in this Topic to share the final Result with you. Please tell me everything that's wrong, looks ugly, unrealistic or impossible. Even if that implies you need to call me an "unknowing Train-abusing Prat" Or something like that Hoping to get some useful comments and Critics ! Geertos13
  11. Oh, my, GOOOD !!! This is so amazing, so wonderful, so fantastic.. and yet, so INSPIRING ! This... This has to be the best creation of all time. 15000 Parts ?! I feel like this is going to help me building my personnal Hogwarts for my Brickfilms.... Thanks so much for posting this ! It's P-E-R-F-E-C-T ! There's just nothing more to say. CANDY TO THE EYE !
  12. Mwaah, Taz you were only trying to help... I have decided to modify my entry a bit too, I'm thinking of replacing that Vignette by a bigger one, with some more detail, Eurobricks here I come ! I should hurry though...
  13. Waah Great job Cutlass Iz ! It's wonderfull now 871 ? Awesome, I don't think you need it, but you still got some pieces left for extra detail Best of luck in the contest
  14. I'm sceptical... Professor Sprout has only appeared in one single movie, I doubt she'd be in Deathly Hallows Part 2, and I can't think of any sets she'd be in. Besides, It's niot because a fig has tan clothes and a hat that it's necessarly professor Sprout. It could be a man after all, we can't see the face. It could be anything, a random Wizard, or even Mister Lovegood. By the way, it could be possible the colors are not 100procent known yet. Last time they change the colors of Voldemorts clothes, and they changed Filch's face, remember ? why coudn't be that tan wizard be a blue one : Trelawney come back, throwing magic balls to the death eaters like in the book ? I'm pretty sure it is'nt sprout but It could be anything !
  15. Excelent entry Matn From the moment I discovered this contest I was hoping that you'd enter ! And yet, you pulled off with a wonderfull entry ! The Half blood prince is one of my favourite books of the series, and I'm making the hole book into a movie right now, So it's great to see one of the scenes the movie left out turned into LEGO. Your creations keep amazing me ! The Hog's Head, Mrs Puddifoot were my favourites but this is one excelent MOC too. I love the shack, it looks so old and broken, especially these dark grey tiles on the corners add even more personnality to the overall. I'm surprised this hasn't got thousands of comments already. I just found out about this creation, how I missed this before, I don't know... I've never liked that Tree building Technic. But that detail doesn't even matter in such a wonderful creation The minifigs are fantastic too, Morfin doesn't not only look stunning, but he also looks exactly like how I imagned him when I read the book. You're always so faithful to the original descriptions ! These different Greys really make the roof look dirty and creepy and the windows, ( even if they are in perfect condition ) Do absolutly look scary ! You never use LEGO doors, though you make them look great everytime. Nice technic once again, and the Snake looks perfect ! When I saw the Topic Title, I was, of course expecting something awesome, but I was also thinking of Merope, which you un-surprisingly left out. Ogden looks nice too, not exactly How I imagined him, but his facial expression, certainly is outstanding ! I'm glad you didn't make Lovegood's House, I think it wouldn't have looked this good ! But I must say, I'm exited to see these WIP pictures Once again, you've brought us an awesome Creation and this certainly ends up in my TOP 3 ! You defenatly have my vote ! Hoping to see more of your creations very soon, and best of luck in the Contest !( obviously you don't need luck, you're creation is just too good to be ignored and I'd be shocked and surprised if you didn't win anything ! ) Have a nice day, ladies and Gentleman I hope my comment hasn't been too long. But I simply coudn't resist giving a detailed comment on this Master piece !
  16. Nice entry Tom Bricks. Pretty accurate and like KielDaMan said, it's very true to the movies. I still think the quidditch pitch is part of Hogwarts so I am a bit sceptical. Well, I think somebody asked about that in the Original Contest thread and Hinckley said It was allowed ( I think that's it but I'm not sure ) So I shoudn't be complaining. These flying Minifigures do look great with that transparent brick technique. I like your snape modification too, you're doing the same as me, old head, new hair This is a cool creation though I think it could have been bigger. I do think you still got loads of pieces left untill you reach the 1000limit, so what about makinga Gryffindor tribune next to it, in the same style. ( Hufflepuff and Tavenclaw would be okay too, but Lego never produced any Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw Prints ) Best of luck in the contest !
  17. Good Creation HoiHarry, The Outside is really nice, and it fits it's movie counter-part very well. I love the sign. The Inside is good too, But I can't help feeling this is a huge Rip-off of my own Three Broomsticks I made before. The Dementors, the stocking space upstairs... Even if it loooksEXTREMLY !!!!a little bit to mine, this creation is NOT sweet AT ALL !!! I like the minifigures too. These owls are a nice touch to MY CREATION your creation ! Best of luck in the contest !
  18. Holy Cow ! This is awesome ! A bit too awesome if you ask me You're a dangerous Contest participant. You have already beat us all on the Winter Village and I can't help feeling this is going to reach the TOP 3 once again Great job on this creation ! The inside is wonderfull ! I love these bookshelves and these candles are fantastic ! These windows look great too, and the staricase thing on the inside is so cute ! The Outside does kinda bug me However. The Roof is huge and ( a bit ugly ) It is so flat and plane, it looks even worse on the inside, the flat snow surface isn't great. You could have at least used brown pieces, for the inside. And put white over it on the outside, well, I guess you coudn't because of the pieces limit. ( I do already think you did a great job managing to keep it under the 1000 pieces, because it's HUGE !!! Anyway, exept for that roof that I dislike, everything is perfect and best of luck in the Contest !
  19. Cool entry ! The cellar design is sweet but, for some reason I don't like these orange tiles. They do look good, but for some reason I think it doesn't fit the outside very well. As for the inside, that door looks so ugly It's not your fault of course, That is one of the most horrible pieces of the LEGO collection. That arch looks okay on the outside but the inside is really bad ! why couldn't LEGO just fill the voids ? May I suggest you replace it with the new door ?( if you have one ?? ) As the second floor is empty, there is not much to say about it for now. BUT I must say that I seriously doubt you'll get much Candy in it... Well I'll have to wait to see the final result and judge it again
  20. As a quite, New Member on Eurobricks, and an even newer member to the Pirates Forum, I did not know Dieter personnaly. I didn't need to read much of his threads that he was a kind and lovely person. By seeing these sad words, I can't help getting attached to his Family. My thoughs are with you, Mrs de Vos and Jurgen. In this lovely Internet Community that Eurobricks is, it is very pleasing to see that everybody is conforting each Other. A tear is falling down my eyes, as I'm writing these few words. You don't need to know someone well, to feel the loss that his death brings us. Rest in Piece Dieter, we zullen je nooit vergeten...
  21. Thanks again Guys ! For all your great Comments and Critics ! I have executed your other wishes by creating a Cellar, and putting in more candy I hope you like this new look ! I now am around 10 pieces away of the 1000 limit so more detail is absolutly not going to be possible. I am However willing to take things out and replace them, or even go back to the old version if you dislike this one. I hope the Cellar is Okay, Please give me C&C so I know if you appreciate the Modifications !
  22. This is one impressive MOC ! I was really curious to discover the end result and that play feature is fantastic ! What I dislike though, is that you have to take out loads of pieces before floding up I must say the inside is really cool, and Sirius' mother painting is a great idea. Kreacher could have used at least an other torso to avoid the : Dobby copy and paste effect. But toher than that all the minifigures look great. I do think that having Buckbeak in the living room is a bit over the top but I guess you simply didn't have enough pieces to make a second floor, because it "Siriusly" would have looked good... Overall, this is a great MOC but with some ups and downs, that are unfortunatly not that easy to fix... A very good MOC and I wish you best luck in the contest !
  23. Well guys, Thanks for all the nice feedback ! I have posted the updated version and furfilled most of your wishes, Orverlapping the roof, adding a step, building a bit of the cellar ( might change, according to you ) destroyed the cut-off corner... Tell me what you think ! And I also uploaded the inside ! Please give your opinion !
  24. Hello Fellow Eurobricks Members ! Yes, I know, I have already made an entry, but I'm proud to announce that I made another one. No, I did not forget the "one entry per member" rule, and I already contacted the MODs asking them to delete the old Three Broomsticks, and I already cleared the Topic and it is now empty. So, after many desperate ideas, St Mungo's Hospital, The Leaky Cauldron and even publishing my Three Broomsticks, I decided to give Honeydukes a go ! Obviously this is my best attempt yet, and one of my best creations if I may say so myself. First of all, this Creation is quite big, but LDD helped me keeping it under the 1000 bricks limit. Here it is : HONEYDUKES ! DESCRIPTION Honeydukes is one of the famous attractions in Hogsmeade. It is a sweet shop famous for its chocolate and many wonderfully wild sweets. It also houses the entrance to a secret passageway to Hogwarts. When Harry Potter wasn't able to go to Hogsmeade, Fred and George Weasley gave him the Marauder's Map, which showed Harry the location of a secret passage between Hogwarts and the basement of Honeydukes. It is loved by teachers and students alike. Harry Potter wiki Now on to the creation, THE OUTSIDE Before continuning I'd like to add that for me, the White Background isn't real photoshopping. I placed my Set on a white background but it turned out grey, so I selected the grey bits and made them brighter, that is only Color Correction after all. Correct me if I'm wrong Hinck The Outside has a nice and warm feeling to it. The Lovely Brown and Tan colors, the small windows, the SIDE DOOOR !!! And much more, make this creation a little beaty. The Multicolor HoneyDukes sign is a nice but simple touch to the building. respecting your ( Yes you Oky Wan ) requests, I decided to give that cellar idea a go. I think it does indeed look better but it's your opinion that is important to me ! I have tried my best to furfill your requests. After all, "The Eurobricks member is king" I've put some BURPs under the house ( that requested a lot of breacking down, replacing pieces and so on... )and put some snow in front of it, The snow suddenly break off at the stairs in the left, but that's because of the 1000 pieces limit and that it kinda fits in a holde street so the building next to it would be glueded next to Honeydukes, so that snow would be on one regular line. EDIT : I've listened to your requests, and I added, a step, overlapped the roof, destroyed the cut-off corned so that the side was slightly overlapped and I took off the Unfitting Christmas Lights. Not to mentionned I made the Sign a tiny bit Bigger. Well, because You have been very nice by giving positive and nice Comments, I have decided to show you the inside TADA !! What do you think ? Sweet isn't it ? Or do you think it's particulary ugly ? Tell me what you think in the comments. CLOSE-UPS So, as you suggested, Cellar + More candy ! Oh and Clone O'Patra, It actually isn't a giant lollipop. It is a big dish with warm "lollipop" water. It is like Chocolate Fondue, you put your Lollipop Stick into the substance and it creates a wonderfull and warm, deliciously flavoured lollipop ! I have posted my five images, but do you want more ? Check out other close-ups, outside shots, and old versions of the building on my C&C appreciated, Greetings, Geertos13
  25. Wow Great Entry and great new Pictures Cloney O' I must say, I really love the building and the melting snow ads even more creepyness if you ask me. The Roof is simpel but Nice, and that poorly patched hole in the roof is fantastic ! The Minifigures do look nice too, I like that Harry hair and Bathilda Bagshot is perfect. Ps : As much as I love that first pictures, the rules clearly said : "No added text or effects"... I don't know if the name of the creation is part of that... Just wondering...
