  1. Jeroen, Love this Star Wars model completely made out of Technic. I only build with Technic so Starwars is always out of my reach but you show it can be done. Will you be making instructions for it?
  2. I used the chassis of 3 studs wide (my original). It is stong enough to hold it whole together. The build is going pretty good. I am progressing at a steady pace. The front is close to finished!!
  3. The first glimps of a real Cadillac is starting to emerge from the beam. Getting the front grill right what quite tough, but necessary to get it right as it is one of the signature features. Next step, the bonnet, and then still the whole huge back section, so still lot's of work to be done.
  4. It doesn't have a gearbox as there is no space left to fit anything in there. In general I don't prefer gearboxes in RC as they seldom add a lot as only few actually work while driving RC. The speed it now has is about the max possible...
  5. Theo, Thanks for sharing your build. Looks great also with white interior. Can't access your google+ files. Did you put the files on public access?
  6. Wow, that structure is really strong and would get the job done. The thing is that I don't want the top layer to be more then 3 sections wide to mimic the real drive train column as present in the real car. The rest should be as flat as possible, especially where the seats are not present. The grey section as well as on top of the motors is where the seats will be. Thanks for you effort and any further improvements or adaptation are welcome. Martijn
  7. Tried that and was confident it would work, but actually I can`t get it as strong as the first version: Probable cause is that I can make less vertical connections due to less holes in the 5x7. Under heavy load the beams split apart then. The original (upper) version cannot be "disassembled", even if I bend it with both hands at the ends....
  8. That a good idea. Hadn't considered using the 5x7. Might work out real well. I will give it a try.
  9. All, I am trying to build the core structure of a Cadillac Eldorado Biarriz 1959. As it's a convertible the chassis needs to be very strong as I have no roof to support it and the door should open up. So except for the center 3 studs, the chassis can only be 2 studs high, especially in the center where the seat are. I have created a structure that works ok for now, but seems quite "solid" and require a lot of beams. Anybody any ideas on how to make it as stiff as possible while potentially reducing number of parts needed? Top View Update 21-04-2014 The front shape is starting to look like the real thing. Next step the bonnet..... Update 30-04-2015. Bonnet and dashboard are ready, lights and motor wiring all routed to the back, time to model the backside section!! :sweet:
  10. Did you already get all the parts in. Love to see a review of any of my models. Would be a first...
  11. DrJB made a nice LDD file for the model. Thanks for that!! Looks really great!! http://www.bricksafe.com/files/mfjnab/Compact%20Tracked%20Cube/__tn/tn_235_Tracked%20Cube.lxf
  12. Great, nice that you like it. In general, as this is actually my first big MOC, I would appreciate to see pictures or videos of the build model by anybody. That's what makes up for the time it took to make the instructions and part list
  13. That's SOO cool, I will upload it now and check out the file!!. Thanks
  14. Correct, if you link to a LXF you get a open/download prompt, and that's exactly what you need I guess. The link I provided earliers works OK for me.
  15. Wow, magnificent photography going on here. I feel humbled with my mere Canon Ixus to make the pictures of my MOC's
  16. Wow, this is a great build. Specifically like the lasers all over the place, but dont overdo it. Might be a bit too much now. Fly in these TIES!
  17. Jesuskyr, I fiddled around with MLCad, but I am clearly not an expert as you are (actually I suck at it). Would it be possible for you to make a version with the grill and bumbers more chrome metallic like and the top of the bonnet in black. That way it would start being very realistic and close to the model I used as reference.
  18. Thanks a lot. Let's hope many will follow!!
  19. Whoohoo, I now got the whole program loop from MLCad -> Lsynth -> LDview -> Povray working. now I can make my own rendering using your model.
  20. The Pagani sure beat the Lego McLaren in design. Job very well done.
  21. That's a lot of detail in a small vehicle, andeed some very interesting buidling techniques
  22. No actually I would like to ask you to do the opposite. You should be very proud of the work you did for me. I see a lot of views from Korea on my youtube channel, and very probably they are also because of your post. I added your pictures to an update in Lego ideas, and would like to ask you if you would be able to make some references to this idea in the Korean Lego communities and forum. For me it's otherwise difficult to reach them and apparently there are many of them. To even make a minimal chance on Lego Ideas with a Technic model all support would be appreciated. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/97642 If by the way you want me to place a link to a homepage from you, next to the pictures I use from you, as courtesy for your effort please let me know. I would be more then pleased to do so!! P.S. I finally got the whole LSynth stuff. It works now, but for newbies on MLCad it surely help to include these files in the MPD Thanks,
