  1. Thanks to all for the compliments! @dr_spock: The name tag IS real ;-)
  2. My first try to build a micro-scale spaceship. I used two motorcycle-frames (brickset.com/parts/4285961) with their bottom-side pointing inwards as base. More pictures of my creations can be found in the LEGO folder of my homepage!
  3. I was talking about the upcoming Jurassic World LEGO-Sets with a friend of mine and said, that I hope they will also realease some Sets from the older movies (like they did with Indiana Jones). She answered that she would love to see a "toilet-scene"-Set where the "bloodsucking lawyer" gets eaten by the T-Rex... Since that probably won't happen I decided to give it a shot myself More pictures of my creations can be found in the LEGO folder of my homepage!
  4. I just love post-apocalyptic themes, so I decided to build some sets for it a while ago. This was my first model: the "Raider-Trike". More pictures of my creations can be found in the LEGO folder of my homepage!
  5. Thanks! Adding a plush-shark is a great idea! ...although it was supposed to be the "Minifig" version of metalbeard (as seen in his narration).
  6. Thanks a lot to all of you for the compliments! As I said, it's my first Micro-Ship so I'll definitely regard your objections an add another mast to my next design
  7. As avowning long-time steam-punk and one of the founders of the austrian steampunk-community I instantly fell in love with Metalbeard's robo-pirate design. I already made loads of costumes before but this was my first attempt on working with EVA-foam (Ethylene-vinyl acetate). First of all I needed some patterns, so I made 3D-models using fotographs of the original LEGO-pieces as reference. After that I dissected the models into their single surfaces, unfolded them and arranged the on multiple pages for printing. Next I transferred the cut-out paper pattern onto the surface of my foam-sheets, sawed them out on an electric scroll saw and ground some of the 90 degrees edges to slopes with a disc grinder. Afterwards I thermo-formed some of the pieces with a heat gun and bent them into their final shape. After I had all the components I needed, I glued them together with a hot glue gun and finally painted the props with acrylic paint. To make the beard wearable I attached a leather-strap on its inside which would later be covered by the bicorne. Finally I made a matching eyepatch out of leather (also using some fotographs as reference). The picture was taken at the LEGO-Store Donauzentrum (Vienna/Austria). You can find more pictures of the single objects in my cosplay folder on my homepage.
  8. LDD/MLCad 16C My first attempt to build a ship as small as possible without losing to much detail... More pictures can be found in the LEGO folder of my homepage!
  9. Thanks a lot! Since it's my first post on eurobricks it means a lot to me to almost immediately get replies :-) @ bublible You can find some pictures without background/effects on my DeviantArt-page: http://steam-heart.deviantart.com/gallery/33286052/LEGO @ oldnut Since I dont have enough time/parts/space to realize my designs with real bricks, I often use LDD to experiment with some ideas (because you can just save it and close the program without having to put all the stuff away). If it's the "Personal Messenger" you're talking about, then it tells me: "Sorry, you don't have permission for that!" if I select that option in my profile-menu... :-(
  10. Although I can't participate in the "Space Pirates" contest by using LEGO's Digital Designer (and changing colours etc.), I still felt inspired by the contest's theme. So I played around with some Ideas and created the first two members of my crew. You can find more pictures in my LEGO-Folder on my homepage!
