Ha, I’m basing my opinion based on videos I’ve seen, not the word of “sponsored influencers” but ultimately I will come to my own conclusions once I build it. So we’ll see I think it’s fine to point out flaws, my point is that there seems to be a tendency to inflate how impactful those flaws are to the overall experience with TLG products. And the opposite is true for MOCs and alt brands. Fair enough though that they’re cheaper

It’s interesting to see people complain about slack in ghost mode as a dealbreaker. All the videos I’ve watched so far seems to show it working pretty well, the doors not going up fully is just a reality of building mechanisms with soft plastic bricks… I feel like everyone is incredibly lenient of functions that flat out don’t work on MOCs and alternate brands, but LEGO is held to an unrealistic standard…

Well, between the 9 speed gearbox and ghost mode, this is a seriously impressive flagship. I’m not in love with the front end and the printed lights, but I can easily overlook that for the mechanical complexity of the set. Excited for the reviews!

I also find this kind of baffling. The front end looks way off because the designers wanted to use those 3*7 curved panels instead of angled connectors and soft axles. The result is headlights that are too far back from the leading edge of the car and a front end that’s too tall..

The printed headlights are detracting so much from the overall look of the car, it’s such a shame. I find it hard to believe there was no viable brick-built solution. Almost shocking in a flagship Color scheme is pretty cool, though. It’ll be a great parts pack

Speculation - is custom garage the modern equivalent to the racers nitro series? ie Legos lineup of modified cars, just licensed this time. Either way this looks horrible, but the theme could be interesting as a concept

Trying this car again is a truly bizarre decision given the sheer number of movie cars that Lego could've picked from. Why again?! Some of the proportions are comically off (engine is enormous, headlights are oversized, roof is too low.. etc) and its such a boring set in terms of not only functions, but also novelty now. I truly hope no one buys this

@R0Sch looking forward to thoughts after building the AMG GT3! I’m particularly interested to see how much liberty has been taken with illegal/sus building techniques to achieve the beautiful bodywork. It’s a make or break for me, personally

Dang, this might be the year I finally buy a CADA set. So many enticing offerings, and the RS6 is a breath of fresh air after seeing so many supercars

Yeah 100% agree. Absolutely pales in comparison to the CADA F1 set imo

I don’t know enough to say if this is truly NIB or not, but the bottom line is paying a premium for a 20+ year old set for sealed and new in box set doesn’t mean much given expected material degradation over time (especially since we don’t know how this was stored), and is probably not worth it.

Imo the actual model looks quite a bit better than the leaks! It’s a brutally aggressive looking car, but I still think it’s not as pretty as the P1.. Also, it would be really cool to see the spoiler mechanism recreated in Lego! B-model perhaps?

If the leaks are accurate then Lego made the right choice going with the P1. The leaked photos look like a mix between a Lykan and a BYD, very underwhelming compared to the beautiful P1…

For sure, and those are two really good observations try and iterate on. I think the black bionicle tooth is supposed to be the extension of the light, but it’s too disjointed to actually look like it

You hit the nail on the head with this post. I'm planning to try out something along these lines when I get the set, but unsure how realistic any of this is: Lower the headlights by 1 stud, figure out a way to fill the gap above (this will probably be the trickiest, unsure how practical it will be without significant mods) Add a long flexaxle (or combo w/ connectors) underneath the front edge of the hood line Add 2x1x2 wedge with a cut next to the round plate, replace both with white parts since the wedge doesn't come in trans clear Here is a very crude photoshop of what I want it to look like. I don't think its perfect but closer to the real car Before: After:

Headlights look too big, but other than that I think it looks great. Some small mods should be able to round it out..

@kbalage when the set eventually comes out, it would be super awesome if you could do a side by side review with the CADA version edit - seems like I was mistaken and CADA never made an official set out of Bruno’s P1

I think they nailed the rear end, it looks fantastic!

Agree with the second half (where there were probably other legal solutions that looked good), but disagree with the notion that the technique used in the door is actually somehow that concerning for the parts involved. That is such a shallow angle and is not a load bearing structure, damage to parts from that angle is a moot point. I think it comes down to principle more than anything. Oh the car looks great btw! Love the 992 911R

They should’ve made this a generic technic supercar. It looks nothing like a cayman

One thing I’ve always appreciated about your cars is how rugged they seem. Lots of pretty RC cars that can’t handle the abuse without falling into pieces, but you seem to manage to strike the best of both worlds with good looking, yet robust models!! Good job! One minor note - to me it seems like the grill is a stud too wide at the bottom, not sure if it’s just an illusion
