  1. Thank you very much! I will try my best Milan, I hope I can live up to your standards, your creations are stunning!
  2. This is truly superb, I have a really hard time believing that that's made out of Lego.
  3. Thanks a lot everyone! really appreciate the feedback :) I'm not so sure if I'll make instructions for this, sorry. But on my next build I'll take a picture every now and then which could serve as partial instructions. I already have ideas for another truck anyway I have been working hard on the crane for the past 2 days, the one pictured above was very flimsy and had a lot of flex to it, especially the pivot for the telescopic section which was really weak. So I decided to make the the 2nd section 4 studs wide and the pivot 2 studs wide instead of just 1. As a result it's pretty strong and I'm rather happy with the way the 2nd section turned out. But you guys can be judge of that, I'll post some pictures tomorrow when it's daytime. I'll probably start building the static "main" arm tomorrow. I've also made some minor improvements to the cabin, this panel gap right here was driving me crazy so I fixed it. Made some improvements to the front bumper too.
  4. Also here's a very rudimentary version of the crane.. It can't lift much right now, needs more reinforcing.
  5. Probably not, I do not have time to make instructions. :( I charged my camera back up and managed to take a few not-so-awful pictures of the truck. As you can see the drivetrain is still not connected and there are visible wires etc that need to be cleaned up. Anyway, this is a manually controlled moc with HOG steering. The functions are powered by 1 L-motor which is placed between the two front axles (it will be disguised as an oil tank or something of the sort). There's one gearbox in the middle that splits the single input from the motor into 4 driven axles, and two gear selectors on either sides to switch between the functions. The selector on the right controls the extension of the outriggers and the rotation of the crane, while the selector on the left controls the 2 crane arms. It was pretty challenging making the gearbox compact enough to fit between the two wheels without making the wheelbase overly long and and the chassis overly wide. So I had to use a LOT of 16teeth clutch gears to keep the 4 output axles as close as possible while driving 4 independent functions. I think I used somewhere around 20 just for the functions. As for the crane, this is where you guys can help me. Should go for an "open" looking crane like the on the Unimog or a completely closed one like the one on jurgen's Link Belt excavator? Thank you! :) I am a big fan of your cars. They are awesome.
  6. Thanks everyone :) the cabin isn't inspired by any particular brand of truck, sorry. But since I uploaded the pictures I have made the area around the windshield cleaner and added a set of spotlights. So it looks a little better now.
  7. Hi everyone, I would like to post a WIP picture of my current MOC. It's a truck with a loading box and a knuckleboom crane on the back. The chassis and cabin is 90% completed so I thought I would post a WIP picture to hopefully get some constructive feedback :) I am still working on the crane, but it's proving to be pretty hard to make it look good while also being functional. Also I'm really sorry about the dirty table! I just noticed it and my camera is dead haha. Thanks for reading!
