Alright, I will be waiting excitedly for more updates.

Ah, right, that is true. I assumed it was because the radiator slopes closest color was only dark gray and you wanted it light gray. But I think an issue with using the 1 x 1 slopes is that it will be too steep What do you think?

The wings are coming along fantastically—great job! Though I think the four cylinder structures are to exaggerated for the S-foils when closed—it presents an illusion that the wings are too short (from the forward/reward perspective).

You are welcome for the links—I am glad you will find them useful! About the changes. I am not sure your reason for swapping out those parts, but I will just be patient to see what is to come… Happy sixth page!

Oh and I am just curious as to what revisions to the exterior you are planning to implement to increase its accuracy to detail?
-
Video I have not seen before, but thankyou for sharing. The walker, I have seen it here, and always wanted one—in spite of that, this photo album might come in handy for what you plan to do. That replica is actually based off studio model here. And since we are over there, have you seen this fan made AT-AT model here?—that thing is like 1 METER/100CM TALL! I currently reference these albums for designing my AT-AT, which will also feature a pale blue panel on the left side of the body—just like on all three of those models.

Based on experience with certain elements, I say the clutch power attributed to the holes within various technic elements are quite intractable. Then there is that of plates, which are a nuisance to pry apart—especially when avoiding to scratch the surface with finger nails, tools, or even teeth . Then the list of parts go on… Though thinking of plates, I have used some with moderately weak clutch power—I don't know story about that. Ah yes, I have glanced it from time to times when I am interested in finding out the history of various bricks. Though I hardly pay attention those details, it can be a useful bit of information for builds such as this. Beyond the fact that it is possibly cheaper to manufacture, I suppose their frequent uses in the design are of artistic purposes or for variety in part usage.
-
He could also substitute some of the bricks on the body with panels—I did likewise with the AT-AT I am building and not only does it save on weight and parts but it also diminishes the brick wall nature due to an excess of bricks. Though, on the points you made, I always thought they were lighter because of their shape, but as for clutch strength, I suppose it is not as strong as their counterparts—what do think? Oh and by the way, how did you find out about these things?

Impressive nonetheless the structural improvements required for the legs and head—from the cross - section side, I can see gravity taking its toll on the head and the back end of the neck. Are you deliberately exposing the right side of the walker for visual purposes (like FuppyLodders), or you haven't acquired enough parts to cover it up yet? I say, the walker is already a nice display model without the rest of the legs—like a nice LEGO AT-AT bust especially with the cut-away. That could be an option if you find no solution to get it to stand—kinda like the idea Fuppylodders had to display his walker crashed in snow after it literally collapsed to the ground.

It appears much smoother with the nice flow to the engine part, but unless you use stickers, I suppose the constant red stripe would be absent. Then if you are using a Mac computer, like me, I would suggest getting BrickStock—it is a similar program to LDD Maneger though perhaps simpler. Happy second page to your topic!

Ahh, a tremendous visual improvement, as it exceedingly brings out the definition of the bricks—an overall impressive look! I assume the droid did a number on the pilot's face too Oh and one least thing. Are those greeble parts for engine available in those metallic colors? (I haven't checked Bricklink recently)
-
Looks well designed, with of course credit to the original designer, but your alterations are coming around nicely. About time you came around to using LDD . I propose you will find building in the LDD much easier if you enable the "Outlines on bricks" preference, in the preference menu, as it will help when making alterations or revising some parts, because each part will be individually outlined. It will also help us make out certain pieces used to develop the starfighter.

Indeed that would have been nice. In episode V, I would assume (since I do not follow any comics or novels) Darth Vader was transported in AT-AT to infiltrate echo base. Then in episode VI, there is when Luke was transported in AT-AT to Darth Vader after he surrendered, on Endor. I guess the difficulty with such a scene, is simulating the motion while riding in such an awesome lumbering vehicle. But as anyways, keep up the great work!

Impressive—your @@ is going to be loaded with detail!

Supposingly, the crew bring the speeder bikes from the back to the main stationing area, and most likely, rappel the speeder bikes from the main access hatch. AT-ATs accommodates seating for a mere platoon of forces, but it is clearly they have enough room for more. The cross-sections guide says alternatively, AT-AT's can store two small scout walkers, which I assume would be AT-STs, but how they get them, even if disassembled, through the main hatch, which is possible not more than two meters, is a mystery. Though however La Chupacabra handles this will be nonetheless impressive… most impressive. Besides the fact that he has a full interior, there is also the sleekness of the floor, which I have not seen before—oh and those chairs are really neat! I just hope there is no more hassle with the legs and drive motors supporting the immense weight of the body and head fleshed out with interesting interior.

Ha-ha!

Wow! Smooth on the outside and inside—I bet it is enjoyable caressing the sleekness of such a large and beautiful body .

[Model MOC] T-47 Airspeeder (Snowspeeder)

I suppose you are referring to anothergol's AT-ST (also here on Ideas)? If so, his is remarkable, even besides the fact he was able to fit two minifigures inside, it looks very pretty. I heard it is available, you have to contact him through personal messenger and ask him if he is still giving out the LDD file. I as well, wanted to build a minifigure-scale AT-ST with more SNOT techniques and used his designed for the waist, because it was quite innovative the way he used those paint rollers to make some of the features on the AT-ST. However, I using certain elements for my AT-ST as mandatory (the 6 x 6 tile for the front armor plate on the face or certain elements for the cannons), my scale was predetermined. It will be UCS scale, which is fine, since I will be able to incorporate more details into the model. I wanted to finish a "first draft" of the model and share that before making several revisions like I have with the snowspeeder, but recently I have been thinking about sharing my current progress on the model.- 161 replies

Aw, I wish I emphasize the conveniency of utilizing the program that I used called "BrickStock," because I too have a MacBook Pro. I found it when searching Bricklink for help on how to generate a wanted list of all the parts one would need without the hassle of finding them one by one. It is rather easy to use, probably simpler than LDD Maneger, though sometimes, the program does not recognize the differing part numbers Bricklink and LDD can have, but BrickStock has an easy way for the user to handle that. Simply, on the LDD model click on file then export model or directly commence "command E," next change the format to "LDraw–Files (*.ldr)" and export. On BrickStock go over to file then import or to the opened file image and import the LDraw model, or directly commence "command I, and L." After you correct any errors, once more go over file then export or otherwise the save file image and select "Bricklink Wanted List XML to Clipboard," or more directly, commence "command E, and W. Afterwards, you will be prompted to "Enter the ID number of the Wanted List," if you already have a wanted list made for the model insert its number or "leave blank for the default Wanted List. Now that you have your wanted list of all the parts you need, go to "By Shop" to search through stores who have the parts you need. Usually, you will not find a store that has all the parts you need. If you do, their parts are oftenly overcharged—just tips, but I hope this helps you in the future. Glad to hear you enjoyed the build. I know another fragile thing would be the upper air brakes, as they are only connected by one stud (but I just glued those parts together ). I did wanted to receive five dollars at maximum for compensation for all the work, but I have no experience of selling anything online nor how to handle others buying from different countries. It would have been appreciable for funding my upcoming AT-AT & AT-ST walker models—I am currently designing the AT-ST in LDD but the AT-AT is being built outside of that because there is perhaps numerous of illegal connections.- 161 replies

@ smiffyraf1 Beautiful work friend—congratulations! I just have a few questions about you experience… Was it an enjoyable build for you? Is there anything interesting you found with the model? Was there anything you did not like with the build or had questions about? Do you have any other questions, comments, or concerns about the model and the techniques used? Get back whenever you can, LiLmeFromDaFuture- 161 replies

[LDD MOC] Star Wars Rebels A-Wing Starfighter
LiLmeFromDaFuture replied to StarWars8Spoiler's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Fantastic representation—I am really fond of the engine section! Though I wanted suggest a few things that that I say would make this spacecraft even better. First off, according to the reference image you provided, I suggest that using light gray elements instead of white would be best (it is completely another story for snowspeeders ). I know this is based off the set, yet I don't know if this possible at this scale, but I think widening the angle somehow would give it a better profile from the top down angle/bottom up angle l(if that makes any sense), according to the show . Then speaking of the bottom it would look great if (what is underneath of plates called? (I will call them slots—slots not on bottom, SNOB ) you could find a way to use those curved wedges, which are on top, to cover up those areas, and make the ship look beautifuller, but unless you are striving to keep the deign simplistic for the most part. -

Hi smiffyraf1 I am wondering if you still need help figuring out how to put together the heat sink and lower air brakes? I haven't took any photos yet, but still my strongest recommendation is to build from the outermost part, that is the lower air brakes, then proceed to the littlest cooling fin, then the larger ones, until you finally completed one side of the heat sink, and then proceed with the other side. If you need deeper explanation to this or would just prefer photos reply back. Much appreciated, LiLmeFromDafuture- 161 replies

Hi smiffyraf1 Congratulations on your progress so far. Now, the heat sink can be a tricky part to comprehend how it is designed—it took me a measure of time referencing my computer screen back and forth to completely understand it. I don't have any detailed photos of how it is designed, though, I can, and most likely will, take photos depicting the most coherent steps to recreate it, and post them here for you or anyone else. Smiffyraf1, my best recommendation for proceeding with this section is to construct it from the outermost part. Build alongside the digital model (the generated instructions would be of no help because of its sporadic behavior for processing the steps), and as you progress use the hide tool or delete the parts you already used.- 161 replies

Much appreciated! There are numerous techniques involved to recreate the quintessence of the actual snowspeeder, while still noticeably being LEGO. There is also then the structural integrity that can be liken to actual sets released by LEGO- 161 replies
