Yeah, over there I was wondering how to get Bluerender to work on a Mac, here was how to integrate your MOD into the program. I didn't quite understand the simple swapping of the code (it was like another language to me), so I was seeing if someone could explain it on simpler terms. Thank you for helping out by the way, though when searching through your initial post, I did not see anything (maybe I accidentally skipped it) about increasing the definition of the outlines around bricks, because as I have notice with some of my larger builds, the bevels are less perceivable when zoomed good distance out?
-
Thanks Malou! I will admit that I am not that much commuter savvy, especially with things that could be simple like this, so the file helps a lot! And thank you bublible for the MOD!
-
Umm, actually this is my first time asking for help on this and I haven't heard anything until now… but alright, my next question is what or where is this ".sc file" you speak of?
-
Ah, I see, you are correct.

Maybe you should have put "Micro" in the title ; I thought I would find a setting scaled for minifigures (something I hear others long for as a new set ). Nevertheless, this is an effective representation at the given scale with the subtle use of round brick corners, and the lighting is a nice feature. All that is needed are some landing platforms with micro ships such as a twin-pod car, Slave 1, or Millennium falcon to accompany the city!

Alright I manage to extract the MOD (with some help ) to the JAVA folder, but ever since doing so I get this error message after initiating the rendering? So what is the issue resulting this predicament and the solution to resolve it?
-
Apologies if this question has been answered before… I am quite a novice. So, my question comes as where (or which one) is Bluerender's directory to extract the MOD to? Here is my progress so far on my Mac:

Bluerender help! Once the application opens up on my Mac, this messages is prompted: So I am wondering how to upload my LDD files to the rendering program?

(LDD MOC) Rebel Gunship/ Troop carrier

Yeah, looks like great set I could see Lego producing! Does it have any other play features besides the spring shooters? -
Ah, okay—thanks!

I am still relatively new… My question is a bit off topic but it is still relevant concerning you (at least). So how are you a "CITIZEN" with only 17 post—is that like a glitch or something?

At the moment, that might not be until sometime in February -

Yeah, the position I fashioned the turntable in was in order for it to work with the 8 tooth gears, being that they are fixed to the leg. This was also in order to achieve a smaller setup that could function in the limited amount of space I have to work with to design the leg hub. -

Well, I don't think I would go any thicker in order to support those 8 tooth gears, as I believe it would ruin the aesthetics; I would have to ultimately result to fixing a 24 tooth gear in turntable if it fails… -

By what did you mean about "There are unsupported 8z gears… the 8z gears are not fixed in place?" -

Well, I will be careful not to stick 2l axle down there ; that happened to me before with a black 180º connecter and a white Bionicle trunk torso—I remember it like it was yesterday. I figured the newer worm gear would be clever technique since it would allow two 8 tooth gears to be placed behind it on the sides, and possibly strengthen the articulation with the extra support from . Would it really matter if more teeth on the worm gear are present, since only the couple or three in the middle would interact with 8 tooth gear? I guess we will all have to see if it will work for the legs with physical bricks. Currently, my only alternative option to this is that idea to wedge in a 24 tooth gear at the desired angle and have the legs fixed in this fashion. -

Here I refined your design into a smaller setup: The highlighted 32034 piece () is in place of the worm gear 15457 (). The mechanism would function easily with the use of piece 33299 () as a crank; like how I used on a older, less sturdier, design for the legs. Here is an example with real bricks: -

I would appreciate that. Yeah, that's what I have been pondering ever since krisandkris12, Tommy Styrvoky, etc., suggested using a 24 tooth gear fixed at the desired position. That would be an ultimate option if all else would not work in the given space. After all, the walker won't be so much a playable model because of how heavy it will be. I don't know if beams could be pinned in a normal way without forcibly abusing the elements—if that is what you mean? -
Hey! That looks great! Although, I am not really a fan of the Rebel Alliance, I appreciate some of the designs for their vehicles; like this one, which you did an excellent job representing in Lego with the studless techniques you implemented!

@Tommy Styrvoky & krisandkris12 Here is what I thought I could simply do with the worm gear but it bulges out too much… -

Yeah that was the unfortunate part. Both of you suggested a ratcheted system with gears, but how would that would be achieved? Or with worm gears, with the difficulties its size would cause? -

Once you can, could you expound upon this on how it could be done or provide a photo to portray what you are describing? Is this the same for both types of the 8 tooth gear or just the old one? That is a good idea, however, as I see with the technic turntable type 2 in LDD, you would have to pry it apart just enough to insert a 24 tooth gear. -

I don't know it will work with the limited positions… Here it is at a 30º angle: How would you implement a worm gear when it is bigger than a technic hole, wouldn't that be an issue? Is there a way to make a locking system with gears?
