  1. The 'old uncle' is actually what is missing in this row, I've never had the chance to own this set. Interesting pneumatics
  2. Hello All, As I love excavators, I couldn't resist to post these photos of my 4 excavators together, just for the fun of it. It's the 8294, 42006, 42053 and the 8043 with modified stick and efferman bucket. Hope you enjoy the photos And a last photo of the modified stick (sorry for the color vomit, I don't have those yellow panels) Feel free to comment Greetings
  3. Hello all Recently 2 new long pneumatic cylinders arrived, so I could finally fit the main boom with 2 cylinders and also the bucket has a long cylinder. Also my EC160 has a new stick. With the 2 boom cylinders installed, I should also install a second pump and an L-motor, that will be my next project.
  4. I was wondering if none of the linear actuators or pneumatic cylinders would have the same reach as the gear rack to achieve the same movement of the stick of the excavator?
  5. Hello All, Another small upgrade, I have installed a pneumatic blade. It's operated with the manual blue pump.
  6. @Countdown@Bering Hello, Here are some extra pictures of the wall grab, I hope they're usefull.
  7. Hello All, Here's another small update of my modifications of the 42042 crawler crane. I built the 42042 with an auxiliary boom and a second boom on top of the main boom. the Max height I reached was 1,65m. It was full remote (except for driving) with 1 sbrick and 1 IR receiver. I didn't test the weight it could lift, the ballast it had was a total of 17 AA batteries. Next I decided to downscale everything a little bit, going to the roots again of manual operation (same like in the original TLG 42042). but I added a "slurry wall grab" which is used in construction work to make foundations. The grab is operated by 2 strings, one to operate the buckets and the other one to move the grab up and down. The buckets are from the 42055 BWE. and here are two videos Hope you liked it, feel free to comment
  8. @LegoGabri Could you post a close-up photo of the double cylinders of the main boom? I'm interested to aply this solution as well. Could you fit everything without modifying the position of the cab? Many thanks
  9. hello all, Here are some new modifications to the Volvo EW160. I added tracks, a new stick and a bucket. It's still a work in progres as I'm waiting for the long pneumatic cylinders. I believe it should now be called Volvo EC160 Here are the photos: I personnaly like my new stick (if I say so myself) I also changed the range of motion of the boom, it goes now a bit higher, and not so deep.
  10. hello, Very nice entry, I really like the cab, it's very smooth and well designed. The crane arm is also nicely done. I personally would have chosen another bucket. Good work
  11. Hello Lenard, Thanks for the new beta version of the sbrick app for android, finally (after a long time) I got my sbrick running again. The installation went very good and uptill now the app is working fine. many thanks
  12. Hello All, I thought I finished my mod of the 42055 B-model but here's another small modification. I changed the way how the shaking works, instead of TLC's passive and slow shaking, I introduced 'functionaltechnic's way of active shaking. Because it was a quick mod i added an extra m-motor. I must say I like this way of shaking. The big blocks find their way a lot better to the conveyor belt. Here are the pics
  13. hello all, So the last photo (for now) of my ultimate 42055 B-model
  14. Yes, you're right I oversaw that part, anyway keep up the good work, i really do hope to see that beast made for real
  15. @Gabi_BC Doesn't the bucket wheel arm look a little bit too 'thin', compared to the thickness of the counter balance arm? It seems to me that it's a bit disproportionate. For the rest, great work, keep up the good work. The tracks and the counter balance arm really look stunning.
  16. Hello All, So after a lot of try and error, I managed to mod my b-model of 42055 to achieve a 100% correct separation and achieved that all of the small bricks end up on the conveyor belt and not under the machine. Also the small bricks do not get stuck on the slide. Here are some pictures: First I Installed the grey spring closer to the rotation point of the slide. This makes that the blocks 'jump' onto their respective conveyor belts Next I lengthened the sieve by 6 studs. This increases the pathway of the small bricks, so all the small bricks have the time to go through the sieve and won't end up on the wrong conveyor belt or below the machine. By lengthening the sieve I had to put the hopper more to the back of the machine, inclusive the small black conveyor belt It took quite a lot of modifications, but like this I could obtain a perfect filtering machine
  17. Here's a pic of the (for now) final version of the spring shaker. The problem of the small pieces getting stuck on the slide is largely solved. A lot depends of the inclination of the big conveyor belt. After testing I decided to go for the grey spring as the yellow spring is way to hard and the conveyor belt gets stuck.
  18. I think I have found a way to add more 'potential' energy to the shaking. I've added a grey spring to the large shute. Early testing show great promise.
  19. "Another big modification was in the chute, i made it have a little bit more inclination and replaced the 11x3 panels in the lower area with 11L liftarms, to avoid that some pieces don´t roll to the conveyor belt, because as i saw in some reviews, this was a very usual problem in this model" a liitle bit up on this page
  20. @ImanolBB I've just tried to make a liitle more inclination in the shaker in the original B-model, but now the "grating" is too high and the big blocks don't pass under the black conveyor belt. If you want to make more inclination by altering the pivot point one has to adjust also the black conveyor belt or alter the whole setup of the shaker.
  21. Hello everybody, I didn't notice yet any MOD page of the Volvo EW160 excavator. I find this a really good set and as I'm an excavator lover, I couldn't resist to add a few modifications. I have already done 2- 3 and I have others in my mind. Here are the first ones I took away the cab elevating mechanism. I find the excavator better proportioned this way. It looks a lot more like the real machine and IMHO also a lot nicer. The cab was in the original model too much forward and got in the way of good playability. I still have to get rid of the grey beam behind the cab. I also put a swivel and turning mechanism on the grab, which also looks better and approaches the looks of the real machine. The mods I'm planning is to arrange the hoses on the boom and add rigid hoses.
  22. Looks like a quite complex build with a lot of small parts, I'm a real crane fanatic so I'll definitely buy this set. It's also a set with a lot of modding capacity
  23. The B-model is awesome, it's the first time I really like the B-model equally (or more ) as the A-model. Well done designers
  24. Here are some extra pics of the trolley and the trolley-winch. And last but not least I made a new base for the crane Also I replaced the 2 IR receivers with an sbrick
