[MOC] Hot Rod
Jurss replied to legosamigos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like, that it has so much open/close parts/panels. It looks not so much as hotrod, maybe because of tire size, and hot rods have bigger wheels at back. Maybe You don't have anything. I could also try to make roof horizontal when lowered, or maybe do so, that it hides in boot/trunk. It looks pretty possible. Bu thats just my ideas, when i see it. -

It is wider at the back. In front it is 2, at and 3. I'm thinking, but can't figure out something closer to real. I thought about using left and right 2x5 panel but then seat is getting too wide for BMX. I'll think about it. Thanks everybody for good words and ideas to improve something. -

Version 1.00000001 1. Frame close to some original geometry (yes, I don't have or didn't found red 11L beam) 2. Improved stem and wider hanndlebar 3. Because of changed seat "tube" lenght, had to rebuild seat stay top part 4. Improved (i think so) pedals -

Yes. as i told, frame geometry isn't very correct. Started to change allready. But wheelbase is not so far from real, just need to shorten seat tube, top tube littlebit. I'll considering also some fake brakes. This was just some beta version, to show, that frame could be also not so wide. I need also better stem. Yes, frame is not very strong, but nobody has to ride on it and it is strong enough to be some technic model, not to brake on its own weight or when moving. And after some small changes i need street tires ... -

OK, some day i'll try

Frame is too wide (top and low bars) and front fork is too massive, pedals could be made wider. And it seems, tha You dind't had enough one type parts for handlebar, or even Yo don't have lot of parts at all. I'm not amazed.

AWD in this scale would be close to fantastic It looks very like real, and it is real technics model (all body), so - very good. -
Is it possible, that transformation is done manually, just pulling something (some 4 things or more sepr\erately) out by hand, so that transformation is not done by some mechanisms turning one knob etc.?

Power Functions Motor help
Jurss replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As i understand, You are running that XL motor at lowest speed. If it turns slow, electrical motor is close to short circuit, nad thats why protection is tripping. So it is OK. As mentioned previosly, use more gear ratio to slow down.To avoid gear skipping, fix axles from bouth sides.XL has 2x more torque, than L motor, L has 2x speed. XL is better for this. -
Quadriciraptor
Jurss replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Maybe i'll turn to bright side, still didn't decided I'm not satisfied with that Qudriciraptor, and it is too big and too complex. I'll try to make something simpler. There is still time -

One of my ineterests cover audio, so i used special cloth, from which speaker grills are made. It also doesn't reflect light. This picture In this picture are used evening sunlight trough window from right, on the left is old tile stove? from white, glancy tiles. From tom standard room liting on leds, from front flash, with diffusor made from paper and attached with rubber band. Diffusor needed to bee less translucent. You can see rectangular white thing in front light top part. Everything was involved. -

You may use some corrections in some photo editor, to make white white. Or https://www.google.lv/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=canon%20350d%20white%20balance
