  1. Graves is the oddest choice for a chase figure. Someone like Voldemort would’ve made more sense.
  2. I think it’s pretty cool. I’m really liking the exclusive sets this year since none of the set figures or pieces are exclusive.
  3. I placed my Hogwarts Express on the tracks from the newest track set (60205) and it’s had no problem passing under the archway even without the 2x2 black plate removed.
  4. Well, Lego didn’t the release the set with track or advertise to put it on track. Removing one piece isn’t that hard, it’s not a major issue like the stems that can’t stay in the Whomping Willow.
  5. I left them off because they’re impossible to keep in. I’m amazed that that design choice made it into the actual set because if you so much as breathe on the Willow, the stems fall off. I don’t understand why they didn’t just include 4 Technic half pins or even 4 brown studs with a hole in them to hold the stems in place.
  6. When can we expect the D2C to be revealed? The Disney Castle was a September 1st release with mid-August VIP access (same as Hogwarts) and I believe it was revealed on July 9th. Maybe it’ll be revealed at Comic-Con...
  7. I hope we get two Captain Marvel sets, since they could give us some cool aliens and a younger Nick Fury.
  8. I hope we get another Quidditch set soon so that we can have Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw players. Their house signs are included in the Quidditch Match set so I hope we at least get one player from each house in a second CMF series (if it happens).
  9. I saw on Brickset that the staff was informed that the Hogwarts Express could be motorized, but does anyone know how? I don’t see any information in the instruction manual and while I’ve only built the locomotive, it doesn’t look like there’s room in the rest of the train to motorize it.
  10. It’s listed on their website, though.
  11. I was looking at reviews of past Hogwarts sets, and I just realized how odd it is that we don’t have Professor Sprout in this wave. We got all the other house heads and CMF Neville even comes with a potted Mandrake, so it’s weird that she and the greenhouse are completely absent. I hope both are represented in a Hogwarts set in the next wave (if there is one).
  12. I gave up and found a Lego store around here (I’m on vacation) and picked up all the sets. I’ll just see if I can cancel my online order. I got there 3 minutes after opening and most of the sets were already gone.
  13. What’s going on with the Hogwarts Express is really odd. Has anyone found it in a physical Lego store? Also, will I 100% get double VIP points even on backordered items?
  14. Everything is backordered now! When I placed my order it was all backordered but I’m hoping it won’t take 30 days to ship. I’m placing a separate Hogwarts Express order as soon as it’s available.
  15. What’s going on with the Hogwarts Express set? It says it’s not available in my country but I’m in the USA where everything else is available.
  16. I’d say no. I’ve listed my 2001 Hogwarts (which I only got like 9 months ago) to help fund it, but the 2010/2011 sets are still amazing and I personally could never part with mine given how they got me interested in Lego.
  17. The Elder Wand is a dark brown in the movies (as seen through all the prop replicas) but Lego uses brown wands as the standard for wizard/witch minifigures so I’m glad it’s tan in the sets, as it differentiates it.
  18. I have no idea what kind of PG-13 movies you watch but excess profanity usually gets a movie rated R.
  19. They could use a chrome silver broadsword as the Sword of Gryffindor (same piece as the 2010 Hogwarts) and they could use a regular gold goblet with a badger printed on it as Hufflepuff’s cup. I’d like to see molds for the locket and diadem and two new molds for a D2C isn’t out of the question (the Silent Mary had two new molds).
  20. They could’ve just made an Elder Wand mold now and given it to Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts sets as well (although he didn’t use it in the first film and I don’t think he has it when he escapes MACUSA). Is Hogwarts definitely the other VIP early release set? Voltron is on the 23rd and I thought the James Bond car would be the other early release.
  21. I’m not counting the cloth pieces because a bunch of people have new skirts and stuff. Luna’s bag is just the purple satchel piece like the Green Goblin and Mad-Eye’s Polyjuice isn’t new because I think it’s just an upside-down maraca.
  22. This series is incredible. The only complaint is I wish we got Sirius Black instead of 2 Harry figures. I’m glad to see Fantastic Beasts getting some representation and I might have to get 2 of the Queenie figure so I can replace her head from the suitcase set. I can see the following new molds: Mad-Eye’s hair Trelawney’s hair Trelawney’s teacup Dobby’s head Flitwick’s hair Flitwick’s megaphone Luna’s hair Dumbledore’s hair Dumbledore’s beard Mandrake head Mandrake leaves Nagini Harry/Ron/Hermione’s new medium sized poseable legs Newt/Jacob’s suitcase Queenie’s bread
  23. The MCU movies next year end in July, so hopefully we see one or two comic based sets in August but since we didn’t get any this year I’m not expecting them next year.
  24. We’re also getting Shazam! next year for the DCEU so we could see a set based on that in March. Given how big the first Wonder Woman movie was, I wouldn’t be surprised if they treated Wonder Woman 2 like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and give it 3 sets at low to mid-range price points.
  25. Batman’s mech is nice but I don’t like Ivy’s. It’s like they just gave her a bunch of plants and decided to call it a mech. I like that she’s getting a new figure but it looks plain without leg printing and I don’t understand why they’re using Mantis’s face and that hairpiece in regular red when they have one with the leaves printed on it for Ivy. I didn’t even think it was a real set when I saw it on Instagram.
