  1. Awesome! I’m going to do everything I can to pick up the HP, IW, and now JW Bricktober packs. I missed out on them last year and ended up buying the Batman Movie one off of eBay. Hopefully we’ll be able to purchase these separately.
  2. It looks interesting. The figures are amazing but the layout is strange and it doesn’t look like a $350 set to me. Also, the box art is not good at all. It’s weird how this is labeled as a “Master Builder” set and not UCS. Maybe it’s a new designation for large playsets like this, the Death Star, and Assault on Hoth?
  3. You claim to have been right about Hogwarts, but you were only right about the interiors which others had already guessed at. You were wrong about the clock tower, greenhouses, transfiguration classroom, removable rock base, and Slytherin common room. I highly doubt they would only release a micro scale Diagon Alley. I could see a micro scale one for $200 and another System scale set like the 2011 set, but there’s no way they are only going to represent that location in micro scale. It made sense for Hogwarts so they could cover more of the castle but they could easily cover every major building in Diagon Alley in a $300+ D2C set.
  4. I still don’t think it’s coming that soon after Hogwarts and I feel like we would’ve heard about another D2C coming out. Maybe it isn’t a Lego exclusive and it could just be a big $130-150 set coming out on January 1st or something.
  5. Ollivander leaked in April or something. That’s way too soon for a minifigure from a December D2C set to leak.
  6. If that set is actually coming out then I don’t think it’ll be as soon as December. That would be two HP D2C sets within 4 months. I think it’s more likely it could come out next summer.
  7. They could’ve just done Hagrid as a regular nanofigure. It would’ve been better than not including him at all. Quirrell wasn’t just a “variation” of Voldemort, he was a character on his own, and it’s weird to have the challenges leading up to the showdown but no way to actually have a showdown.
  8. The only other reason I think a second set is possible is because we’re missing some microfigures. Why include Hagrid’s hut and the Mirror of Erised if there isn’t a Hagrid or Quirrell microfigure? We also have a Chamber of Secrets but no Lockhart or Tom Riddle. It would’ve made a lot more sense to make Hagrid and Quirrell over someone like Bellatrix.
  9. I’m beginning work on the far right side of the castle (library building) and I absolutely love this set. It’s been a joy to build although all the little fiddly parts have made my index finger hurt quite a bit. The design is just so beautiful and I cannot wait to put it on display! I really hope that if this set sells well we’ll get another D2C depicting the other half of the castle but I sadly don’t think that will happen.
  10. Yeah, that’s pretty fast. I just finished bag 8 and I’m 3.5 hours in, although I build pretty leisurely and watch TV at the same time.
  11. BrickVault has uploaded a review of Hogwarts Castle!
  12. I feel like they must be planning a Chamber set. We’re missing Ginny, Lockhart, Tom Riddle, and Moaning Myrtle while they’ve given us other characters that aren’t as important as them. They must have been excluded for a reason and I’m assuming that reason is that all those figures will appear in a Chamber of Secrets set along with Harry and maybe Ron. We even got Myrtle as a nanofigure sticker so Lego must have plans for her otherwise why would they tease us like that?
  13. The width is 27” and the depth is 16”, if that helps at all.
  14. Interesting to see that the new half arch pieces are exclusive to the D2C so far. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the previous D2C exclusive molds were all hair/head pieces (although Salazar’s hair made it into the Statue of Liberty and I’m sure the half arches will appear in other sets down the line). The set looks great and while I feel the stickers are excessive they do add good detail in places where detail wouldn’t be possible without them.
  15. I think we could get a large wave every 2 years when a new Fantastic Beasts movie comes out.
  16. It could be a Quidditch set with the other half of the pitch and include Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw players for the first time.
  17. There’s no previous set called “Quidditch Lesson”. The 2002 set was “Flying Lesson” and the 2010 set was “Quidditch Match”.
  18. Those connecting points are definitely only there to make transportation easier. I thought that the points were on the far right side of the castle (like the bricks with holes on the back of the Great Hall) which would have implied that something else could be added on, but it doesn’t look like that’s the case. They could still make a second microscale Hogwarts, but that side of the castle isn’t as iconic as this one and I’m not sure Lego would want to make another set.
  19. There are set numbers and information floating around about more Spider-Man sets to accompany the mech set we’ve already seen...
  20. Where did you see images of connector spots? I totally believe another microscale Hogwarts is possible (look at Ninjago City and Ninjago City Docks) but I figured they would just sit next to each other, not actually connect.
  21. No, I’m just wondering if they started shipping out yet since I ordered my box from them.
  22. Did you order your CMF box from Minifigure Maddness?
  23. Hi everyone, I'm selling some used and complete sets. All of these sets include minifigures and instructions unless stated otherwise. Please PM me if interested or if you want to know shipping costs. Star Wars Sandspeeder- $25 Eclipse Fighter- $20 DJ polybag- $5 Republic Striker-class Starfighter (no instructions, one 1x8 dark red tile slightly broken)- $35 Harry Potter 4709 Hogwarts Castle- $170 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 & 2 (missing Ghostbusters figures, other two included)- $40 Ninjago Dawn of Iron Doom (missing minifigures)- $40
  24. Found CMFs at Walmart yesterday. They were on a rack and I couldn’t find a Graves, but I did locate Luna, Voldemort, Credence, Trelawney, and teenage Harry for myself and Newt and Voldemort for my aunt. I’m still on the hunt for a second Graves but I can’t wait for my box to arrive!
  25. They also rotate at the neck and can move their wings, and if they do the Horntail like Smaug we could see ball joints for the wings and folding wings. Molded dragons can also move their tail in at least two different places and the ones with arms can hold figures by the legs.
