  1. Does anyone have any sense of how well the Brickheadz are selling? I thought they were just going to be a LEGO Shop exclusive, but in the past few weeks, I've seen them showing up everywhere. And every time I see them, the stock on the shelf doesn't seem to have decreased at all.
  2. A discussion implies that two or more people are engaging in a back-and-forth conversation. You keep saying the same thing over and over. There's no give-and-take there. Back on topic: if anyone was experiencing any success in the toys-to-life genre, I'd be a lot more optimistic about Dimensions. But Skylanders is basically done. Disney Infinity is officially done. Nintendo has deprioritized Amiibo (though they have a different business model for those that will probably allow them to continue for a while). I really feel like Lego got in at the peak, and it's been downhill from there. The licenses have been interesting for the most part, and the compatibility with Lego System has given it more staying power than it would have otherwise have had. But TTL, like music games and motion-control games, is a fad that seems to be on its way out.
  3. Wow. That's crazy. Whether or not Lego and TT have officially announced it, I think a sale like this says everything that needs to be said about the future of the game (or lack thereof).
  4. Maybe this has already been mentioned, but Brickset is now listing the five rumored "Connectables" (71259 through 71263) with the note: "This set was not released." That's different from an unreleased set that's definitely on the way, which has the note: "This set has not yet been released."
  5. Wow! That means there's a 50% chance it isn't blue!
  6. Does anyone know if Toys R' Us considers Arkham Asylum to be a "Hard to Find" set? It's not listed as one on shop.lego.com, but I didn't know if TRU considers it one, since it's a spendy retail exclusive. I hope it isn't, because I just got a 15% off one item coupon that only excludes "Hard to Find" LEGO, and I wouldn't mind knocking twenty bucks or so off of that set.
  7. Just found the full set of Marvel and D.C. 2017 Mighty Micros at my local Fred Meyer in Portland, OR.
  8. Just found the full set of DC and Marvel Mighty Micros at my local Fred Meyer in Portland, OR.
  9. Well, I stand corrected! These look great. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Have any of our usually reliable insiders confirmed yet that the list of 20 CMFs is legit? I have a hard time believing that we're going to get an Arkham Asylum Joker and a Nurse Harley in the CMF series and the Arkham set.
  11. We've got bigger things to complain about these days.
  12. Actually, he's made of clay!
  13. I think so, unless you count Deadpool.
  14. Licensing deals are usually signed a year or more in advance. I'm sure Lego didn't have the opportunity to see how the show performed before signing the deal. It was a calculated risk based on past performance.
  15. Thanks @CM4Sci. Really appreciate your generous sharing of accurate insider info. Wish everyone was as reliable as you!
  16. Just for the record: do you go into every thread that's dedicated to themes and sets that you have no interest in, just to let everyone know that you have no interest in them? Doesn't seem like the most valuable contribution to a conversation, but to each their own, I guess. Back on topic: I hope that Lego has a generous first run of these and doesn't get too fussy about order limits, because I can think of two people off the top of my head who are going to need them for Christmas. One of them is my 67-year old mother-in-law, who I'm pretty sure has never built a Lego set in her life!
  17. 2016 is the 50th anniversary of the original song's release.
  18. FWIW, DC and Marvel jointly hold the trademark to "Super Heroes." So I'm not even sure that the theme could be called "Super Heroes" if both brands weren't participating.
  19. These are the greatest back-to-back comments ever posted on here.
  20. Does anyone have the Target DPCI for the Cap motorcycle polybag set? Please and thank you.
  21. That's pretty surprising, but great if true! This makes me think that there's not going to be a dedicated theme (like Disney Princesses) but rather just a few DC Super Heroes sets with Super Hero Girls branding, the way that Amazing Spider-Man is a sub-brand of Marvel Super Heroes. Did you get the sense that there are going to be SETS (plural) or maybe just a single set to test the waters?
  22. That would be nice of them, but honestly, it seems more like they're focusing on characters and variations that are relevant for the year that they come out but won't likely be remembered as definitive versions of the character. Ten years from now, is it really likely that the fact that The Falcon was Captain America for a little while be anything more than a bit of comics trivia?
  23. That's rotten - must be different promos for different regions.
