  1. Eurobricks: Come for the leaks, stay for the drama!
  2. It would be the first reasonable thing they’ve done with the Bricktober sets so far!
  3. I’ve decided to just not purchase anything from LEGO.com or the brand stores until they go back to announcing their promos a month in advance again. This is nonsense. If you buy new sets from almost literally any other retailer when they come out, they’re often 10-20% off, and the savings is enough to offset the cost of purchasing any promos that I actually want off of the aftermarket.
  4. I have absolutely zero insider info, but it seems nuts to me that they'd have this promotion when there are no new Super Heroes sets available for purchase. My guess is that we've either got the wrong dates for the promo period or the set release or both.
  5. Totally agreed. I'm glad that LEGO decided to make Super Heroes sets (it's what got me into being an AFOL, actually), but it's a weird fit for what they do. Honestly, I think they'd have more success with annual SH CMF lines and lots and lots of $15 - 30 builds with 2-3 minifigs each. But I'm not the world's largest toy company, so what do I know?
  6. I am absolutely delighted with Mysterio!
  7. Yup. I don't really have a sense of when LEGO finalizes their designs for production, but I'm guessing they have to lock everything for production months in advance. And considering that the licensor approval process for Marvel/Disney is so much more rigorous than most other licensors -- plus the fact that they're (rightly) paranoid about leaks -- it's very likely that the MCU set and minifig designs have to be locked even further in advance, and well before the final post-production on the films themselves. The general consensus on here is that LEGO is being "lazy" or "cheap" with the MCU figs, but I think it's actually a case of making concessions to a pretty unforgiving production timeline -- keeping the details vague (to limit conflicts with the version that appears on the screen), avoiding more elaborate production techniques (like additional printing or dual-molding), etc. Iron Man mk. 1 is a good example. LEGO knew exactly what this suit would look like, because it's been on film for 10 years. And they did an incredible job of bringing it to life.
  8. Marvel/Disney has final approval over all merchandise based on their IP, including LEGO.
  9. I have no doubt that the Hades head is totally real. That's a very difficult piece to produce outside of official channels. Not saying that someone wouldn't or couldn't, but it seems like the level of effort required would not be worth the payoff. Virtually any other bootleg Disney character would be easier to produce and/or more in demand than Hades.
  10. Judging from recent comments, I think I speak for a number of people on here when I say that I always appreciate reliable information that’s presented in a straightforward way. I have seen several would-be leakers come through here over the years who provided neither, and I’m always happy when they decide to move on and stop wasting everyone’s time. I’m glad you’ve taken a lesson from going 1 for 9 on recent polybag rumors, and I think the mods have already spoken to you about teasing leaks. So, yes, I also hope that we won’t have any problems going forward. And thanks again for providing actual details about what you believe the Mysterio figure will look like. Can’t wait to see how those translate into the actual figure when we finally see pics.
  11. Thanks for finally providing some concrete details. I look forward to seeing the actual figure.
  12. Be sure you credit the source for that leak properly.
  13. So, wait, are you saying that you’ve actually seen the official Mysterio, and he has the dual molding and better printing? Or were you just guessing a few days ago when you said we were about to see it?
  14. Yeah dude, I told you, we will DEFINITELY see the Mysterio fig leak within the next three months.
  15. There was a rumor of an advent calendar, wasn't there? Was that debunked, or is it still unconfirmed one way or the other?
  16. It's a fair point, but looking at how poorly DC has handled their cinematic universe, I can't blame Lego for not wanting to put too many eggs in that basket. Honestly, I'm shocked that we got an Aquaman movie tie-in set.
  17. I'M SPECIAL WITH SPECIAL INFORMATION!!1!
  18. My inside sources tell me that we will DEFINITELY see FFH leaks within the next three months.
  19. If they're not, then they certainly otter think about it.
  20. They did literally recut and rerelease a family-friendly version of Deadpool 2. And if you don’t think that at least part of the reason was so they could broaden the merchandising opportunities, you’re nuts
  21. The more I look at the M85, the more it’s growing on me. I think it’s a really sharp fig, and the gold arms don’t bug me like I thought they would. If these are the last Iron Man armors we get for a little while, we’re going out on a high note.
  22. Thanks - figured it was both too good to be true (leaking a day early) and hoping it was too bad to be a legit release.
  23. Is the one on IG that posted about 6 hours ago a custom/MOC or the actual leak?
