  1. I build only physically, but first I google and stare real-life pictures of something what I want to build and I have always pictures on computer screen when I build but no plans or designs except in my head Just do and redo, make and remake, learning from my own errors, lots of effort and work. Bricklink is also my favorite place to order parts and some times hole, used sets.

  10. Hey wow, nice to see that you have finished 9396 and even more that you enjoyed to build it I like that original color scheme (+ stickers) also very much, it's almost as nice as my red and black one Those functions in helicopter are very nicely done and working, and as you said PF makes them even better, I'm sure that Jake and George just love to play with it Now I wait what you'll build next, this is just pure fun to follow and comment your builds Thanks for this one Clive and happy times with next one!
  11. Great progress Clive and nice pictures I like very much new headline for this thread and the sign (1st picture) is just awesome!
  12. Great progression Grum Rotor head and gearing/gearbox, those were my favourite parts of building this wonderful set and you are building them great, keep up the good work " I'm just too stubborn to be beaten by a pile of plastic pieces" <------ That's so cool, reminds my attitude when I'm building my MOCs, they will be ready and solved, no matter what
  13. I like very much set 42025 B-model aka Hovercraft There is always room for big size hovercraft in Lego Technic world
  14. And also you can consider for example used but in good condition sets from Bricklink... There is sets 42039 beginning from 70 euros and sets 42041 from 40 euros and lots of more quite a good sets to consider.
  15. No hurry and no rush, just enjoy and take your time, you got all the time in the world my friend And thanks, I had those red parts (and few blacks too) ready for this build maybe half year or more, but I was just lazy to begin... Now when it's ready I think my vision was quite alright to leave yellow out of this build, thanks for your compliment of the livery
  16. Beer Rescue Helicopter Seriously talking this was such fun build and I think color scheme red with black nose is quite nice Thank You my friend grum64 for that little pep talk, I finally got this long waited project done and Clive, have great time with your copter PS. I equipped it with power functions and it is very cool, four functions with just one motor and nicely designed gear box, I like it very much!
  17. Nice to see a new build and new topic from you my dear friend I have this 9396 set too but I have not built it yet... I might build it all red or red with some black details some day. Nice beginning, keep up your good work

  19. The one and only king of mini sets is of course 9390 Mini Tow Truck http://brickset.com/.../Mini-Tow-Truck Really cool looks and nice functions aka working steering and winch for towing And of course it looks like a tiny unimog
  20. Real eyecandy, that design and those shapes, just amazing! I also like seats and interior, front and back lights, grill and wheels Excellent
  21. Thank you very much Yes, Ted is a little bit scared of high speeds on the water
  22. I think every airboat needs a driver and because I have so many left over parts, I made a one Meet Tech-Ted He is maybe a just little too big for scale but he is hansom big boy, don't you think? Edit: He is maybe just born but he loves all kind of boats already
  23. Wow, quite a fast and absolutely cool lookin' supercar I like very much shape of the roof, doors and wheel arches, well done!
  24. Thanks guys, nice that you've found it interesting Thanks Yes this is a quite a good set to make so many different MOCs, I've already made four different thingys out of it and also modded A and B models quite a bit. Potential is impressive with this set
  25. Thanks, guys Yes, I like to think and build something else, most of my MOCs don't have wheels or suspension, I like flying things and things to go on water Thanks! Yes, i thought about it but there is no usable wheels in this set, those wheels and rims are obviously too big to hide in the airboat Thanks, yeah you're quite a right this is just loosely based on real airboats, not a exact copy of any, but the main things are the same, just my own freedom of creation There was quite a bit left over parts, of course nearly all suspension parts and somewhat other parts too... PS. There is a lots of peoples' own creation airboats so there is quite a range to different types or shapes of them... Here is a one example: so the structure is quite a simple
