Is the AFOL community became harder to please?
BrickJagger replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Part of this has to do with the fact that the AFOL community is rapidly expanding and is bigger than it has ever been. When a new set is released, there are more people with opinions than there used to be. -

LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion

I use them as barriers for my Knighton soldiers to stand behind. They're pretty useful in that regard. -
Welcome, Splashie! See you around.

Do we expect any additional news soon? We got the set list over a month ago and we've heard nothing since. Descriptions at least?- 1,601 replies

Looks great! Shame you couldn't wear it, I would have liked to see it in use.

Well done

Seems like this is the only Brickfair VA thread open this year, so I guess I'll share my thoughts. IMO it was a total bust this time around. Absolutely nothing in the way of vintage Lego, which was highly disappointing since that's one of the main reasons I come every year. The sets that were for sale were ludicrously overpriced, a shining example being the Viking Longship from 2005 going for a whopping $350 (It was actually $400 but was "on sale" ). Even though MOCs are usually Brickfair VA's strong suit, that was not the case this year. I've gone to Brickfair every year since 2011 and this is the first year where most of the best MOCs were recycled from prior years. There were also fewer MOCs for some reason, and entire tables near the back of the expo were practically empty. All in all it was a mediocre experience but will hopefully be an anomaly, because I was happy with all six of my previous visits.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
BrickJagger replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Taylor Stevenson was banned on here for posting fake rumors awhile ago. If I recall correctly he was also behind the following accounts: Brick Productions Flickr, Brick Productions 2015, Brick Productions 2016, ForceGhostSolo (?), and xxxSilentCommando. Almost all of the fake leaks here can be traced back to the same guy, and it's fairly easy to link each account together when a new one pops up. My best advice would be to ignore him The battlepack is fairly interesting, I don't have Coleman Trebor yet so it'll be nice to get him. -
The round went on for over a week, and from what I saw the Elf and Scarecrow were tied after the allotted 48 hours. After you left, the Elf took the lead about five times, while the Scarecrow took the lead just yesterday when five votes came out of nowhere. I'm not leaving this game because the Elf lost, I'm leaving because I disagree with how you've chosen to proceed. I respect your decision (And I'll definitely be back for the next game) but I don't see myself posting in this thread until then. Again, this is a *very* minor thing and I don't want to make too much of a fuss about it.

It isn't just one account, either. I see at least a half-dozen accounts that appear to have joined simply to vote in this poll. I'm no conspiracy theorist though, it could just be a coincidence.

The results here are definitely too close to tell which figure is preferred. I second @Slegengr 's suggestion to have a three-figure final round.

LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion
BrickJagger replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Good points. Knighton Castle's villain selection might actually be what keeps me from buying the set. Had it included Krackenskull (and his mount) and a winged Gargoyle instead of the siege tower and Bricksters it would have made the set an instant purchase. Another gripe I have with the wave is Aaron's Rock Climber, which IMO is not only poorly designed but pretty useless because Aaron already has a vehicle. A better set for the price point would have been a City of Ghoulia set with Arnoldi and another Harpy in it. Overall the summer wave complements the winter wave nicely, but it doesn't hold up very well on its own. -
This post right here is proof that we've finally run out of things to discuss.

I still don't get why Arnoldi didn't show up in the Summer wave. He could have easily been added into the Stone Colossus or Knighton Castle sets. A shame, really. -

I feel like Itaria is somewhere cracking up at this thread knowing full well he could have ended it like six times already.
