  1. Personally I see the stud shooters as not just a gimmick, but as a way to drive up the piece count of a set to justify higher prices. Four stud shooters in a battle pack contain about 18 parts total (Two per shooter, ten ammo) while the previous guns only amounted to four. In my opinion Lego is using these extra parts from stud shooters, combined with a few other unnecessary and tiny pieces, to raise piece counts in battle packs by about 20 and therefore raise the price from $12.99 to $14.99. It's a smart strategy for them, but an annoyance to us.
  2. Sir Von Lego, who first reported these leaks, is among the most trusted sources on this entire site. I highly, highly doubt these are fake.
  3. @Sir von Lego do you have any more information about the sets?
  4. @Sir von Lego I'm grateful that you're here to provide info, but if possible can you sum up everything you have seen in one post for easy access? It's a little confusing digging through several pages of posts to get the full picture.
  5. I think he's actually hinting at a new, regular Castle theme in the near future.
  6. Doubt it. Those guys were Grimrocs before Merlok turned them into stone.
  7. Castle probably wasn't coming back until 2019 regardless. Had Nexo Knights not sold well, next year would have been an off year. This is most likely Nexo's final year anyways, so just see it as another opportunity to get some new parts and wait for Castle's return the year after.
  8. J2G mentioned in his video that it's possible that 72000 is another set (I would assume that it's a $10 armybuilder). Also don't rule out the possibility of exclusives, as there were two in the winter wave this year. There will probably be seven sets total. I noticed that soon after I made that post, but thanks anyway. I really am curious as to what these villains look like - or what they are, for that matter.
  9. So 72003 is a good guy vehicle? Who are the enemies?
  10. Those tags are pretty amusing I'm eagerly awaiting SVL's set descriptions, but for now I have a few thoughts: - There are currently no villain vehicles with the villain's name in the title, which is odd. Previously, we have had Moltor's Lava Smasher, Beast Master's Chaos Chariot, Ruina's Lock and Roller, etc. but the two (?) enemy sets have non-specific names. - X-Bow sounds interesting. It might be an Aaron vehicle, but I hope it isn't because he already has more than he needs and the "bow" theming on all of his stuff is getting old. - Tech Wizard sounds like something for Robin. - Lance's Hiver Jouster sounds an awful lot like Lance's Twin Jouster, I hope it's different enough to warrant purchasing. - No gimmick sets this year by the looks of it, which follows Ninjago and Chima's lead of only having regular sets in the theme's third year. Overall, it's a smaller wave but I'm happy that Lego decided to give Nexo a third year. It seems like the majority of us were proven wrong and the theme has actually done better than expected.
  11. Don't know if I'm in the minority here, but in my opinion these "Battle Pods" are utterly useless. A *slightly* redesigned figure with a few generic parts and a plastic shell? You call that a promo? On a lighter note, Clay's new armor piece is an improvement over the existing version and makes me wish that all of the Knights looked that way in this year's sets.
  12. Very nice work. The stream could have a bit more detail but this is definitely better than you think it is.
  13. Great work! The loose pieces around the structure are an interesting technique, and you've pulled it off well. Must have taken quite a while to set that up, I know I wouldn't have the patience for it.
  14. Welcome and enjoy the boards!
  15. There are so many Historic figures left that you would have had to have chosen soon between two of your favorites. The goal is to have the final 1 on 1 be between two Historic figures.
  16. Nice work. The fittingly small hands are a nice touch.
  17. Fantastic work, Nemo. I like the rocky base of the build, as well as your choice of Cyclops (Cyclopses?) as guards. The guy in the dungeon is a humorous touch.
