  1. Everybody knows "I love LEGO" as can be seen by my avatar on the left which is my cars personlised number plate. In the past I have even had a double baseplate glued LEGO shop display on the dashboard of my work van
  2. Using black and white plates on the side to give it a diagonal look
  3. Photo from Michigan Lego Train Club. Maybe a member can answer your questions.
  4. Here is a mining loader from M-Longer
  5. 2 x 1 bricks joined together have a bit of flex as shown below Michigan Lego Train Club photo
  6. 7715 was my first. Then 7722 and the individual wagons (postal, crane, tanker etc). And then 99% of the 9v range. Followed by RC.
  7. 6399, I have 2 of them  Also have 6990 for extra track parts
  8. Just installed it. It's so great to have the colours you need to make a design look right
  9. Maybe the pirate used rocks from the ruins to build his house
  10. Found some other show pictures earlier than the front paged ones from this Brickshelf user. Note in the first picture a spare rechargable battery above the first tank car. Click here. Click here.
  11. Thanks for a new way of looking at model railroads. Found this page Small Layout Scrapbook on this website Micro / Small Layouts for Model Railroads. One of the pizza layouts has the base revolving in opposite direction to the train movement. I have a totally LEGO solution to this. In an auction about 4 years ago I won a LEGO shop display made in the early 1980's. It is circular and has very old LEGO sets and cars glued to it. There are working street lights and the police helicopter's blades rotate as well as the base. Auction description "This Lego display is 93 cm diameter and stands 12 cm high. It was imported into the country to be a window display for a toy shop to promote LEGO. The display has the following on it:- Shell Service station, post office, restaurant, burger bar, phone boxes, road workers, picnic area, mail box and post truck, police cars and motorbike, helicopter, trees, flowers, several different types of trucks and numerous people walking around doing different things. It comes with its own power box, so just plug into the power and the display will rotate, the rotors on the helicopter rotate and the several lampposts will light up. There is 11 lampposts, howver 4 of them require replacement bulbs. Good condition." My idea is to strip off all the LEGO and put on a LEGO train track. The power feed to the lights I will adapt to power the train.
  12. The Warehouse, 20% off all LEGO, 4 day sale until Sunday 21/02/2010
  13. I have been looking at pizza and micro layouts on various web sites. Came across a link to AnyRail layout design software. It includes LEGO 9v track and Duplo track. Click here for web site
  14. Great model. Do you have photos of the rear? Mr Whippy in New Zealand had Bedfords too. They have more modern vans now. Don't leave your LEGO ice cream van in the sun or this might happen:
  15. In New Zealand we never got the motorised Hogwarts set with the tender. This set allows me to get the coal tender with stickers. Last year at a hobby expo I put small train wheels under the blue car and had the HP loco pushing it. Like the scene in the movie crossing the bridge. Also the red Creator car this year has 1 red curved panel so I could now modify an Emerald Night into a HP loco by buying heaps of that Creator set.
  16. I started collecting all sets in the Town and Train themes from 1985. Since then I diverted into Pirates, Western, Paradisa, Model Team, Technics, Ferrari and town related themes like Adventurers, Batman, Orient, Spiderman, Studio. I now concentrate on City, Creator houses, Modular buildings and Train. Will eventually sell off all my Pirates, Western, Model Team, Technics and Ferrari sets.
  17. With the increase in prices it makes me think that LEGO is now pricing the sets by weight of plastic and not pieces. That is what I did here. Parking spaces and a bike lane. Can you spot the parking meter?
  18. I reckon its the other barcode ,with no numbers below, on the left of the rear that identifies the contents.
  19. Try this link to contact Hazel Amazing Amoury contact page
  20. It looks like the large driving wheels don't touch the ground. Looks like a technic frame that could hold smaller wheels?
  21. The cow catcher looks to be 8 wide at its widest part. Pity cause I'm a 6 wide train builder.
  22. Looking at pictures of the above Polish review there is no black mark on torso neck. This suggests that they are made in China
  23. Modern Combat Pack in Black 2 Precision Sniper Rifles (PSR) 2 Tactical PDWs (TPDW) 2 Assault Carbines (AC) 2 Combat SMGs (CSMG) 2 Bipods Would this pack be good for a SWAT team? Do you have suggestions for any other weapons I would need like Shotgun, Stun Grenade etc?
  24. Found the making of it video.
  25. Today there is a greater colour and part choice. I would probably change the yellow truck to a not so bright colour and I would add front mudguards to the trucks.Below are some images of another 1930's vehicle I built way back then. It is on a truck chassis I suppose I didn't include it earlier as it was not a truck. But due to the unexpected praise from my old sets here it is. It can fit 6 firemen. Also I am very suprised to make the front page with these old designs. Thanks
