  1. The Toyworld's have to preorder the exclusive sets. The one I use got in 4. They put 3 away for me to pay off (lay buy).
  2. Made this up yesterday. Moved tank pivot pin back one hole to shorten length of whole truck. Still plenty of clearance when turning. Turned tank rear bumper/lights piece upside down so that ladder doesn't cover number plate and lights. Ladder now sits parallel to tank rear. Only three hatches on top of tank to match the three curved sections. (Hi octane, low octane and diesel).
  3. Found some new (Jan 26) instructions to modify the tender on Mike Walsh's LEGO blog. Click here
  4. The larger sets like the Grand Emporium, Eiffel Tower could have been printed onto 2 x 2 tiles to better match the real life size.
  5. Was avaliable from Toyworlds in New Zealand. I saw one a couple of weeks ago in Nelson. I bought 3 from LEGO S@H last year and have 3 more on layby at a Toyworld.
  6. Go to the bottom of LEGO.com web page and select customer service. You can select the set and parts that are faulty. I have used it a couple of times for faulty, miscoloured or missing parts. I noticed in this years 3177 Smart car that my doors are off white.
  7. I'm pleased to see plenty off lights for our 3179 repair truck man to attend to. Can't have him being idle
  8. I found this idea. It would be a good way to make cylinders of all sizes Click here
  9. NZ price $NZ 3.99 each Series 1 June release. Series 2 September release.
  10. Let me know if anyone sees 3222 anywhere as I have moved from Napier to Blenheim and there is no Toyworld or K-mart close Thanks
  11. I like the limo but the wheels stick out too much . Will need to change the axle piece.
  12. Great truck, love the red colour. . I agree Pierre's trucks are good. I copied his tow truck 4 years ago.
  13. What part is the tractor motor made from? It looks wavey?
  14. This is how I changed mine with 1 motor. Click here GOOGLE is your friend: I also found this PDF file for a longer one motor tender Click here Also this two motor Click here and this one motor Click here
  15. At a show last July I powered my Emerald Night with one 9volt motor. I removed the internal gears. It pulled three carriages. I recommend the fix as my one did start to play up after a while.
  16. I started buying LEGO in 1985 when I was 29 (originally for my daughter ) I liked the Town sets back then and now have 398 sets starting from 1980. I have 18 World City sets and now 89 City sets. I really like the size and modern design of the current sets. So much so that I am thinking of selling off nearly all of my Town sets (but keeping my 2 6399 Airport Shuttle sets )
  17. Nothing wrong with the Wind Turbine Tranport one. Just increase the height of it like this
  18. Just bought two of these sets today. I like the look of it but am not happy with the colour of the doors. On both sets the left doors are creamy in colour and the right doors are off white. I thought LEGO was fixing the colour problems.
  19. Updated photos as promised. Moved windscreen, roof and doors back. Fitted bumpers front and rear. Blower intake sits over front axles now. Car now more balanced and better matches the original car in photos in first post. All it needs now is a lot of Bricklink black parts.
  20. Thanks for the suggestion. I have lengthened the bonnet (hood) by moving the door and windscreen back by 1 brick. This brings the back curves down to the rear corner spoilers. I must say that it now matches the proportions of the original a lot better. Photos to come of the car in random colours as earlier, until I do a Bricklink order.
  21. I own at least 2000 minifigs and they are all yellow. So when my minifigs take off there clothes at the local nudist camp they are totally yellow. I suppose I could use fleshies as store manikins
  22. I think he left out a 0, should be 750
  23. Right hand drive. If you look inside you will see him. But he is only half the man he used to be. Too much beer made him legless
  24. The Interceptor has been in the body shop. So please excuse the trans red, orange, white and blue colour scheme. Trans clear and black will need a Bricklink order. Replaced two trans yellow cheese to ones that don't have LEGO written on them. Moved front forward to be flush with bonnet (hood). The small gap down side has now gone. Installed smaller fuel tanks and spare wheel. Changed rear panel, lights, bumper.
  25. My ideas would be to: Hide old 4 stud wide 9v battery box and monorail motor inside and have it follow monorail track around at ground level or Hide old 4 stud wide 9v battery box with motor driving tyred wheel inside following old toothed 4.5v straight and curved rail.
