  1. I never destroy my MOC's. They just get boxed away. I started MOCing with the demise of the Western theme. I built a stagecoach, barber shop, blacksmith and saloon way back then. I still collect themes and also MOC and do train shows. Old pictures that I have on an old web site. I used a yellow LEGO shop display case with light in it and a sky background from a model train shop. A film camera and a scanner. Colours where just random depending on what parts I had then. The arch piece in yellow dictated the colour of the delivery truck. You can see the trucks in the bottom right of this photo when they were used at a Hobby Expo in July 2008
  2. These MOC's were built over 10 years ago of 1920's and 30's trucks. Pictures for reference where scanned from a library book. Now I use the internet for pictures to aid building. These MOC's are 4 to 6 studs wide. I used technic pulleys and tyres to simulate the solid tryes that were used back then.
  3. In the centre of the middle picture is the railway station and pedestrian bridge. The station looks very small.

  8. I display both City and modular buildings but i usually group them in seperate areas of the layout. But you could put the larger scale modular buildings at the front and smaller scale City buildings at the back, then you would have a Forced Perspective of your city that makes it look deeper

  10. I voted all the time. I build New Zealand railway equipment. I have built 2 diesels (class DA & DC), 2 steam engines (class H and Climax) and 1 electric loco (class EO) and 4 carriages. All built awhile ago and boxed away at the moment.

  16. Reading this topic reminded me of a MOC I did in 1998 (12 years ago) of Ace, the Tardis and 2 Daleks.
  17. Heres a small brake van that is used on the descent of the 1 in 15 climb on the Rimutaka Incline NZ. Its the red van left of photo. 12 stud x 6 stud base.

  19. You could use this piece in orange, from Sponge Bob Squarepants sets, for your side windows.

  23. Modification of 3180. Using original bricks plus 2 extra white mudguards. Cab original. All new chassis. Would look good with a matching trailer
