  1. I have 6990 x2, 6991 x2 (one incomplete), and 6399 x1 plus several rails and bogies I would like to have that unreleased underwater themed monorail set, an unreleased monorail 4 way switch, and unreleased "Y" shaped switch
  2. Already posted: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57318&st=0&p=1021335&fromsearch=1entry1021335 No harm though
  3. 95% of the time it's Angry Birds and Sudoku. I use Asus Transformer.
  4. For those in USA who has been waiting for ages, this set finally appeared in USA store. I found mine at Walmart. The box has yellow "SPECIAL EDITION" banner across the right side of the box front. Maybe Walmart exclusive? $39.97 for the box. The cute R8-B7 makes up for ugly yellow banner on the box

  6. 7868 Mace Windu JSF at local Walmart. They finally appeared in USA store after many months of waiting.
  7. I tried: http://personalpages.tds.net/~wilykat/unknown_bug.zip no crash on my side. Extra parts I left are for scaffolding as tires do not want to go on round brick or plate. LDD 4.1.7, Windows 7 32-bits if that helps.
  8. Cheaper than China? I hope the quality of pieces are more in line with most European factories than with Chinese factory. Bad enough we get an occasional flame blaming "inferior Chinese crap" that we don't need Mexican haters.
  9. I'm so glad I live in Michigan (USA) as scorpion is extremely rare here. OTOH I had to be on the lookout for a black spider with red hourglass symbol, quite nasty. Rarely lethal but very painful.
  10. Using wheel 6248 for scaffolding and tire 3483 or 61254, mount it somewhere, remove the wheel while leaving tire and pin in place. Mount the round 2x2 brick, moved the brick and tired, rotated them, etc no crash. What tire did you use exactly? Can you repeat the instance that lead to the crash? If not, you probably suffered a random crash for no reason. If you can reproduce the crash, specify what parts was used.
  11. Two and a Half... now that was funny. Even Emperor (Sith Lord) looks stoned, just like the actor in similar sounding title.
  12. This one probably can't be answered atm but what happens to Ahsoka between CW and Revenge of the Sith? Since RotS was released before CW and Lucas never considered Anakin having a padawan at that time, he created yet another one of the bazillion plot inconsistencies. I suspect we'd know her fate at the end of CW series. Possible fates include: 1: She was killed 2: She was expelled from Jedi 3: She was still his padawan and was left behind in the outter rim while Anakin and Obi Wan went to clean up the mess at Coruscant 4: Her apprentice was transferred to a different Jedi 5: She left Jedi Order due to conflict of interest Personally I think it's #3. A few (likely unreliable) sources suggested that more than 100 (possibly 200) Jedi were still alive at the end of Revenge of the Sith movie, all scattered across the Galaxy.
  13. I generally buy large unsorted lot as it's often the cheapest in price per piece vs buying specific parts. For example a seller may want $50 for lot of 100 white 1x2 bricks, which would be a ripoff if you check BL first. Also complete older sets as long as seller mentions in the description 100% complete so I can file "not as described" claim if I have to. I had 2 issues with eBay sellers over LEGO. Both were mixed lots, one sellers claimed "removed as many non LEGO stuff" and "about 99% LEGO". One of the mixed lot had about 20 Hot Wheel cars, 5 pounds of Mega Blah, 1 pound of mystery brand non-compatible building toys, gold ring (not real gold), candy wrappers, kid rubber toys, etc. I ended up with about 40 pounds of true LEGO instead of 75 pounds as advertised. Got my partial refund through PayPal and left that seller a well deserved neg. Since I wasn't required to send trash back, I sent the good stuff to local charity shop and threw out what wasn't good. Another seller sent me 45 pounds lot but used the wrong type of tape (cellotape or scotch tape) to hold the box together. I knew it would be another complaint against the seller when I came home to see a trail of spilled LEGO pieces from the driveway to the front porch. After spending 30 minutes picking them up, I weighted the box (38 pounds) and informed the seller with pictures of the failed tape, seller quickly issued refund equal to the amount lost. He got a positive feedback for refunding real fast instead of trying to waste time and drag through Paypal claim. I told him to ask his local post office about finding and using the right tape and how to seal heavy boxes.
  14. I think it's just the licensed theme, LEGO uses sticker because they are deigned to fail in a few years (if it didn't fail while inside the box) so people can't really resell vintage Star Wars pieces in 20 years. Personally I prefer only the cool design be printed, and cool pieces to get stickers so I could reuse cool pieces without stickers later. (guess where I got the idea from )
  15. 30008 and 30009at TRU with BOGO 1/2 off making final price $6 total. Ok silly use of a sale but current BOGO 1/2 off excluded Star Wars and Harry potter, which left me with virtually nothing on stock interesting except for these 2 early Christmas trinkets.
  16. A bit late but USA TRU has yet another BOGO 1/2 off. Construction sets only, excluding Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Ninjago themes.
  17. If you have lots of spare technic parts and a couple M, an XL, and a remote controller you should look at http://www.jurgenstechniccorner.com/ Full control of all functions without needing to switch transmission. It's a bit hard to read instruction at time since it doesn't make clear distinction on what axel size are used. A few pictures are out of focus as well, making placement of parts tricky. I built mine and needed to buy an XL plus a remote as I had all other parts. I used standard "AAA" battery box instead of rechargeable battery box, both are the same size.
  18. I'd love a set of angry birds but unless LEGO thinks it is worthwhile to get license, this will probably not get past LEGO at all. :/ How about instruction for us to make one?
  19. Or scroll down to where it says known color, and click on the specific color. If the color you want exists in BL but doesn't show under known color, chances are it's made for LEGOLand or for some LUGs and not sold in a set.
  20. Looks like I am going to have to buy those shields so I could get the manual and make one out of LEGO. Hopefully Megablock didn't use weird brick(s) that doesn't have LEGO counterpart and can't be replicated with LEGO.
  21. Classic space minifig from '78, especially in my favorite color blue
  22. Old 9v wires were much easier to remove than PF. With PF, unsnapping the connector off battery or IR unit requires herculean strength.
  23. That depends. If you get to LEGO store early in the morning before kids come around, then it is worth the effort. But if it's afternoon and you have 20 screaming kids running loose, it is not worth the 15 minutes. Heck, I avoid going to the store in the weekday afternoon, and all of weekend when parent has time to shop and let kid loose.
  24. I can't fully catalog my own collection. I can do some sets but that leaves some 300 pounds (around 135Kg) of mixed LEGO pieces with no manual to connect them with 300 pounds at an average of 325 pieces per pound... that is about 97,500 pieces. No way in any of the 7 hells am I going to catalog all of those pieces!!!
  25. <3 LEGO service as well. They've always sent me replacement part when I get a set missing one or had damaged part, plus they sent me free service pack for my shuttle 10213 set when I ordered them on Amazon (just as it was discontinued in favor of ugly looking revised 10231 set) They bend backward to fix problem, no matter how trivial it is. When you consider it costs them a few dollar for bubble envelope, employee's time to gather piece(s), and mail them without making us pay a dime, it is a great service. Other company may tell you to take it back to the store for exchange, and other company may give me the run around while stalling any needed repair until the item's out of warranty then tell me to suck it and buy new one.
