  1. True that is. Otherwise Bricklink wouldn't have any Modulex to sell at all.
  2. I tried, I'm getting this one: http://www.lego.com/en-us/shared/PageNotFound.aspx Been that way for hours today. Looks like they screwed up something on their server. PS I don't like the new look, it seems too kiddy for my taste.
  3. And Han Solo in imperial uniform... that would be an interesting one since that 19 year jump doesn't exist in any video format and little kids don't like to read book without pictures.
  4. Great batch of funnies from you 2. I especially liked that Ewok
  5. How would Ki Adi's extra large forehead piece look on older non-CW Ki Adi minifig? Like other, I'll wait for the sale, the price is just too high, I could get a regular 300-pcs set for the same price.
  6. I wanted to, and it may be possible to do the smaller hand cranked machine but the video isn't good enough for me to try and copy the larger machine. The compression used for flash video made it hard to tell apart a 1x8 black plate from tile, and I can't really see smaller details clearly. We'd just have to hope someone (*cough*SI-moc*cough*) would scan in the manual. I have the video downloaded in mp4 format via Firefox video downloader, it is almost 3.5MB total. If someone does make a model in LDD (or other LEGO program), a short list of pieces used in the set that aren't available to us would be nice. Such as green door rail used on the bigger machine. We have the rail but not in LEGO Dark Green color.
  7. Any chance of making manual scan for us who would want to build a clone? Clone set wouldn't be worth anything without original box, manual, and sticker as proof, and his model used a part that isn't available to us like dark green door rail. There may be other part in certain color in this set not available to us as well. So pretty please, please, please???
  8. No wonder I didn't see that...I don't visit special theme section. Now I need to go and write "I will search first before posting a new topic" 1,000 times.
  9. More at http://toysnbricks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3084 Pictures of the set, box, and manual pretty much blows away any theory it is a MOC Someone made a time lapse video of building the 2 molding machines. The smaller one is the old hand crank machine used since the first plastic brick, and the larger one is the current plastic molding machine. I wish I could download that video. So I could play it back at slower rate. I have 4000001 in watch on both evilBay and BL in case one decides to sell it.
  10. Lego 7666 and a few battle packs. It happens I have a pair of sealed 8129 sitting around for weeks so when the new Hoth set comes out, I'd be ready for huge display.
  11. Emerald night for sure, it's been out long and could get discontinued any time. Maersk set is new, only a couple months old and won't get discontinued anytime soon.
  12. I'd buy that one!
  13. You win something: http://wins.failblog.org/2011/06/05/epic-win-photos-lego-sandcrawler-win/comment-page-1 A post on win blog
  14. I have the Mindstorm 1.5 set from long ago, it hadn't been used for some years but I wanted to play with it a bit. I haven't had any computer with serial port for about 6 years but I could get the USP IR tower off BL, I'm sure those uses the same IR protocol. The question, is there any RCX software that will work with Windows 7 64 bits? I've had issue running DOS programs, 16 bits program won't run under 64 bits Windows, and emulator like DOSBox don't always work with peripheral. So any idea or should I retire RCX and consider the next generation stuff?
  15. Phantom Menace before A New Hope?? BLASPHEMY!!!! With the reissue of the movies (5th times for ANH I think), sale of Star Wars is sure to pick up and LEGO would be a fool to let license end before the movie's started. OK so there will be 3D movies, how can LEGO apply 3D to toys that are already 3D in nature? 4D LEGO that warps time so we could tell Lucas to dump Binks before starting on TPM
  16. Looks like we won't be hearing from Red Brick for a while ;) Everytime a new person finds BL, he's gone for days and comes back a few thousand dollars lighter.
  17. Great one, I like the roof and the bridge the most! The water, specifically the land around the fall, does need a bit of work but it's not too bad. Probably this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=88292 with SNOT. It's new last year.
  18. Great review! Looks like I need to add one more set to my wish list. I got to wonder what LEGO was thinking when they made 5 slops with prints and not have all the slopes done??
  19. Very well done and quite the best of any UCS type set. Almost makes me want to either buy it or find/make a building instruction if you recorded enough of the detail in the process. Going to keep that, sell it, or part it out?
  20. You probably jinxed yourself by that comment. The next set you buy will have a huge STAMP across 50 pieces, and it happens to be too good to not apply or keep ;)
  21. Or build a fleet of Death Stars. :D
  22. I noticed in the first post the picture showed a 1x1 brick with 2 studs on sides. When mounted, it leaves a stud on "front" of the lamp. Maybe some decorative element?
  23. Good guesses. I'm betting on closer to original Hoth system, adjusted for 5 years of inflation and general greediness so... original was $50, multiply that by 0.2, carry the 8, square root of the pi, probably $80. Toys R Us price will probably be 100
  24. I just got started on LEGO set 7915 (Imerial V-Wing Starfighter) and I notice problem with the sticker sheet. 2 (one small square black/grey and one long one) are loose and almost about off, and one (other small black and grey square) was missing. The missing sticker is stuck inside the box. It's bad enough that LEGO can't pack the sticker sheet (and manual) so it doesn't get mangled but this is bad. Either bring back internal tray from ages ago or make it requirement to have all stickers and manual inside bag with cardboard backing. /rant off
  25. Yes. Someone was poking fun at LEGO's MIDI scale still not being uniform across models.
