LDD 4.2.5 Bugs
Lego Otaku replied to Zerobricks's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
LDD seems to allow blatantly illegal and impossible build. Even builds instruction on how to put it together but it can't be done in RL because all the parts are not flexible and there's no way to get 2L pins in between 2 blocks like that. Not sure how it can be fixed. -
LEGO in Film & TV: Index of Appearances
Lego Otaku replied to Izzy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
snipped It's possible that O'Neil couldn't get over the death of his son and kept getting him toys for the next few years. I know some people are like this. -
Check my find from a year ago TWO large cup full of bamboo leaves. All that's missing is a Fabuland-esque panda figure to enjoy bamboo forest.

Is Cuusoo too easily taken over by Rabid Fandoms?
Lego Otaku replied to David Thomsen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Even though Zelda was successful in getting 10k votes, there still a matter of licensing. Nintendo already has licensed Mario stuff to a competing cloner so having LEGO out next to Mario Kart stuff could be sending mixed message that Mario Kart is a LEGO spin off and not a clone stuff. In the meanwhile, I've looked through Cuusoo for non licensed products, there are many good stuff such as multi colored minifig in crayon-type box for people who wants to build an army of mono figs. A nice looking modular police house and candy corner. There are lots of worthy non-licensed product that could use more attention. -
3 likely possibilities: 1: The seller bought some at a deep discount like 50% off. This is what I do, I buy stuff marked very cheap, then list it on Bricklink for profit. 2: stolen from local store It has happened before, look in old news about guy who was busted for ripping off Target stores for over $200,000 USD. 3: it's a dropship scam where seller pays LEGO.com full price, have it delivered to your address, then seller files chargeback on his credit card (or credit card was stolen). The buyer ends up being responsible for the full amount and the buyer may not even know unless he/she tries to buy direct from LEGO.

I got the shipping notification just for TC-14 and the poster. The rest ($75 worth of PAB) will follow later as they need to pick parts, count em, bag em. As my order was late evening May 4, other people who placed order on USA LEGO.com before evening time should have gotten shipment notice by now unless LEGO wants to call & question or confirm the order to prevent fraud.

I bought a small 10 pound bucket of mixed LEGO, hot wheels, knock off bricks, and stuff for only 1 dollar. $1 seemed cheap for just a few genuine LEGO bricks. Anyway I just got around to actually checking the bucket today. Now I know why the 10 pound bucket seemed heavy for the small size, and it's not hot wheel cars. There were 2 cases of Mini Discs. 29 total discs 11 of them with label rest had no label so they may be new blanks. I haven't used MD before and don't have any kind of MD player` so what to do with them...?

Antenna. Notice the base seems oddly think for a small moc... it's to hide the bulk of the antenna. edit: I can't type

LEGO in Film & TV: Index of Appearances
Lego Otaku replied to Izzy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I recall a thread like this but I couldn't find it so either I didn't use the right key word, the search feature is broken, or the old thread was deleted. I was watching the movie The Witches and LEGO is seen quite often throughout the movie. It's pretty obvious the main set is the 6990 monorailset. SS below: blue dome is also from 6990 set bottom of 2 straight track segments The front piece is from Blacktron set. Mod- if the thread is still around, feel free to merge this and explain why I couldn't find it in the search. -
I placed my online order (purely PAB for $75) and I got confirmation for it along with TC-14 and poster. The order was placed at around 8 pm EDT Friday

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Lego Otaku replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Is my eyes going bad or did that 2012 Advent set feature Santa Maul? -
Same and I'm almost hoping for it but I doubt they'd have any in stock. What would be the rarest or most desireable SW fig of 2011 and 2012 sets? Just in case the one online order I placed doesn't come with TC-14 due to it being out of stock.

I picked up some bricks while I went to pick up LEGO sets and TC-14 minifigs. First up: Pink! Not a common color on PAB wall, the last time I saw any pink bricks were 1x2 slope last year. 1x2 log brick in tan the egnima of PAB wall. BL has very few of this up and it is defiantly medium blue. Trans-dark blue I have is darker, and trans-light blue is lighter. Both Peeron and BL doesn't know of any set that uses trans-medium blue 2x2 round bricks. Must have been planned for future but not released yet. Or maybe leftover from cancelled plan? Buuuut... to get so many 2x2 trans color  Yellow 4x4 plates 1x4x3 window frame, matching glass pane, 1x4x6 door frame, and matching doors. 1x2x5 bricks. 1x2 trans-clear plates. Maybe make minifig scale sized Falling Water? :D 2x3 Dark Purple plates. Rarer PAB wall color than Pink! Lots of trans-green 1x1 round bricks. 1x4 hinged plates- all complete. For total parts and cost: Funny thing: wasn't really packing the cup at all. The hinged plates were the only one I made effort to pack in, the rest I just shuffled to settle loose bricks to pack in more.

I got 2 for buying 2 separate orders today. I did notice that on leg assembly, the top studs (that connects to torso) are not chromed, and the neck of the torso are not chromed either. It's not just the hands. But... SHINY!!!!
-
X-Wing and Y-Wing sets + Anakin ship and few of Planet series set to get 2 separate orders over $75 so I could get 2 TC-14 minifigs. I also bought some PAB stuff but no minifigs with them as they aren't SW related.

My 30 year old TFOL LEGO recovered
Lego Otaku replied to LEGO Family's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Looks like I may need to do the same. I still have stuff from late 70's to late 80's including a number of classic Space, 7722 train set, Forestmen sets, etc. Many with instruction and boxes. I've kept them separate from newer stuff when I got back from the first dark age late 90's so it should be easy to find and reassemble most of them. -
Always varies. Some usually lasts around 2 years but the Death Star has been going on a lot longer because it still sells very well. Death Star can go poof this year or it may stay on another year or 2

Unless she's stopped by the Imperial. Great looking project so far.

Same. Lots of questions to answer though. FWIW otaku in my user name is Japanese word, when used in humorous manner means someone who is a nut or addict. I'm a big fan of LEGO so the user name worked. (Otaku has been used in offensive manner as well, meaning someone with no life so got to watch the context when using otaku around Japanese)

Found at a local Goodwill new sets (in very mangled boxes): 1 3365 Space Moon Buggy $1.49 $0.75 3 3188 Heartlake Vet $19.99 $10.00 and best part, all were with half off tag so I paid very little for these sets. All are complete but the boxes were mangled like some fat kid used them as stepping blocks to reach the top shelves. They were probably rejected from stores (Target) due to damaged boxes. Lots of cheap parts to add to my BL store and I get 3 hedgehog pets to keep

WTS: Load of monorail parts and misc items from 6990
Lego Otaku replied to Sokratesz's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I've seen the pictures and based on what's there, I'd probably get $150 or so if I were selling it. -
LEGO CUUSOO BTTF DeLorean Time Machine ACHIEVED
Lego Otaku replied to Ceroknight's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmmm... no hoverboard? Snow board could be used so no new mold, just in pink color -
I am still not sure if I am going to drive to LEGO store or ordering them online. I do have an eye on a few pages and I could make a few orders to get free TC-14 for each separate orders. Any idea what time does the promo begin? Midnight LEGO store time? Also any idea which sets are going to be on sale as I may need to adjust purchase to get $75 mark.
