  1. I'll go with 10213, thanks for the link. The landing gear sticking through the wing looks ugly in the newer revision.
  2. Is the set swooshable???
  3. I don't know about pricing but I don't think it's a flat $10 rate. I tested this couple weeks ago by making a LDD file containing 17,000 lime 2x4 bricks. PAB rate (if you got around size limit) would be a bit over $4000. If I checked the price by sending LXF file, I was quoted over $6,000. $1700 extra for using LDD... info and SS: http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=545953
  4. That can be very hard. That piece in dark blue color (LEGO's Earth Blue) was released in only 1 LEGO set some years ago so you're looking at expensive way of getting them. The Mermaid set this piece comes in starts at $50 and up, and not on LEGO's online PAB.
  5. If you moved the pin on the carrying handle, can a dropship pick it up? The ship comes with AT-OT and can carry AT-TE with the same pin modification.
  6. Amazon still has 10213 shuttle set at regular price. Do I get them and get the service pack to fix the faulty tank construction, or wait for 10231 when it's available?Piece counts seems very close with the older one having slightly more after service pack comes in.
  7. Great reviews!!! I'll probably keep my UCS Falcon a few more years AMazon sez this set is $300 USD: http://www.amazon.com/Lego-Star-Millenium-Falcon-7965/dp/B004OT8HJO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308159666&sr=8-1  I hope the price really comes down when it comes out.
  8. Forget Canada, run for USA stores!!! This just popped in my email box
  9. That reminds me, did someone finish the instruction for that elegant stairs around the tree?
  10. Wait for BOGO 50% or B2BO free, then sell extra
  11. Given that Executor is about 4 feet long, about 150 studs long. SO if I wanted to build a few regular star destroyers to scale, would they be around 13 or 14 studs long? I think there'll be a shortage of micro scale star destroyer on BL source for the size:
  12. Sorry, just the decals. I got about 500 minifigs to rip apart for this but I need decal design. I got drawing skill of a 5 year old.
  13. Baking soda and baking powder both could be used as snow because it's fine powdered. Flour wouldn't work well because they don't give smooth snowy texture.
  14. http://www.foxtrot.com/2011/06/06122011/ I'd like to see someone do a life sized Star Destroyer out of LEGO
  15. I'd like to make 2 minifigs and I'd need something to dress them up with. They are Gon and Killua from the anime Hunter x Hunter. Killua would have plain pink torso and purple leg, I'd need some flesh colored band for the leg to show his bare leg, and flesh colored face. For the hair, this one seems to look closest: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=53982 (painted in white of course) Gon would be green torso and leg and I need decal for the torso for his coat, and his leg needs boot and some flesh band. Plus the head. His hair is very dark green or black and usually swept back, I couldn't find a suitable head piece that seems to fit him. Any suggestion for the head piece?
  16. Yeah. If there's major competitor near Kmart (such as Walmart), Kmart's clearance sale tended to go unnoticed for days and possibly weeks. With a bunch of Wampas, it'd be perfect for that trap scene that never made it to the movie.
  17. Today I cleaned out a local Kmart of clearance sale LEGO stuff: 4x 8089 Wampa Cave (left just 1 behind, the box was ripped and could be missing something) only $27.20 USD each 6x 8084 Snowtrooper battle packs (none left behind) $8 each 11x 8083 Rebel Trooper battle pack (none left behind) also $8 each So check your local Kmart. This haul is perfect to go with my older Hoth set and the upcoming new Hoth set. I also got in a box of mixed lot off eBay that were mostly Star Wars. I'll let this post I made earlier show my haul: http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=548662 Too soon to see if I can complete any sets yet but it looks like I can complete the X-Wing, Tie Defender, A-Wing from Mon set, and Imperial Landing Craft. Larger sets seems to be missing a few small pieces and from the look of messy sticker application, it was probably played with by an 8 year old child.
  18. Nice work but please resize the image to maximum 800 as per forum rule. You got any plan to make more pictures? So few of us could do CGI back drop.
  19. Still not enough wookies and clones to put away those gungans
  20. So why 3.200 and not 3k2? In USA it would have been either 3,200 or 3.2k. Just as bad as confusing football in USA from football with most of the other Countries (football being black and white round ball, not oval pig skin ball)
  21. Looks like Kmart was blowing out some LEGO sets. My local Kmart had Wampa set 8089 at $34 each and 2 Hoth themed battle backs at $10. On top of that, they had additional 20% off ALL clearance toys, including LEGO so I ended up paying a paltry $27.20 per Wampa sets and $8 per battle packs. They also had other LEGO on sale but it's Hero Factory and Racer which didn't interest me. These were perfect to stock up for the upcoming new Hoth set! Reseller who can find them at their local Kmart could stock up to sell for profit when the new Hoth set comes out and people are paying a lot for older Hoth sets. YMMV but check Kmart!! But don't bother checking the one I was at, I left behind no battle pack and only 1 wampa set whose box was really crushed and ripped and may be missing pieces.
  22. Great job especially on those stained glass window. What's holding them all in place?
  23. Source: http://news.lugnet.com/storage/?n=707 I thought it'd be worth mentioning here as I didn't see this subject when I searched. Lugnet post is a bit over 10 years old but worth reading for humor. I'm on 14 BTW
  24. Red arch brick came from Santis or from Hans Christian Anderson bucket. Good MOC!
  25. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=10179-1 Both version were used in this set. It looks like the earlier set were without slot, and later sets had slot. The slotted connector were listed as alternate on the bottom of the inventory page. You should be able to use either part and still be 100% original
