  1. Really nice design and details on the tower. The dark red background works perfectly well, great job on the presentation.
  2. Impressive architecture and great fig posing, well done all around!
  3. My counter in K19.
  4. The wall is impressive, but the way these guys are setting up the defense... so many cool aspects to find, really well done! That machine is quite impressive. Only suggestion would be to not have the soldiers wear helmets while working.
  5. Definitely not the best entry, but another one for Ulandus nonetheless: Reinforcing the Wall
  6. The troops of the desert king are heavily forcing the attack. It's time for every living Salamander to join the forces on top of the wall. So do this wizard and his three veteran companions, who just climb the stairs to enter a small watchtower within the wall. It's time to fight... till the end! Builder's comment: I am not really satisfied with the build, I just lacked the time to improve it (make the wall less colourful, actually build the watchtower instead of having it's entrance just hanging around in the air). Sad, but I thought I'd rather post an imperfect build instead of none at all...
  7. ... to take down an ancient beast. Two soldiers of the "Thousand Suns" have set up their trap. May the beast come! Two more pictures without the dinosaur in the background: As a counter towards Tomsche's build
  8. Really well done. Nice terrain, superb work on that wall, great minifigures and posing, and that oil effect to top it all off.
  9. What amazes me most about this absolutely stunning creation is, that despite the ginormous size and details of the landscape, you still put so much effort and love into the interior. Stunning build, one of the best ever!
  10. I don't understand the urge for balance. Isn't that the point of a war, that one side wins over the other(s), by having most "warriors" (builders), by having the best warriors or just by strategic decisions? If the DK has the largest and best "builder-army", it's totally fine for me that they win.
  11. Amazing FP, and maybe even more amazing sand.
  12. Both the wind wagon and the sandworm are fantastic.
  13. Will there still be some kind of voting in the future? Have I missed something?
  14. Really well done, I like it a lot. Great job on the different "types" of sand.
  15. We've only seen one entry to date, and I wonder why that is? The description sounds like it demands an insanely epic building, maybe that is why some people hesitate? Anyway, I would suggest to postpone the deadline for a week, cause it would be a pity to see only few builds for such an amazing challenge.
  16. There was definitely another counter to my build (D10). Edit: Nevermind, has already been posted avove.
  17. That house facade is simply amazing. Probably the best entry I have seen so far in this challenge!
  18. I really love that colourscheme!
  19. Wow, amazing work on the transformation of the minifigure. Well done counter to my build, I like it!
  20. I am not sure about that. Going for an entirely different build is absolutely fine for me. If the builds were the other way round (yours the original attack, his the counter, stories adapted accordingly) this would not have changed my vote. For me it's really not at all that you tried sth. different, just that you did not meet my style-preference as much as he did. But maybe you are right that "perfect" execution often counts more for the vote than the idea.
  21. I am usually a huge fan of polished builds, and this is where Disco excels. Also personally while I like the idea of forced perspective, most of the time the results just don't look as good as the "real" builds, they don't give me such a big "wow" effect, don't emotionalise me as much as the other builds do. I think both builds are really well executed for what they are supposed to do; it's just that I personally the general category/type/style of build Disco has built. That is very subjective, but it's how I voted.
