    An Italian Classic Together with Gabriele Zannotti aka zanna I've been working on a scale model of a FIAT 500 for almost two years now. I've actually already made a topic on EB a while ago but the model has improved a lot since then and we also took some cool pictures of the real life model so I decided it would be appropriate to post a new thread. The model As it stands right now the model is made of 1210 pieces and has plenty of details and features to offer. The boot which is located at the front can be opened revealing the fuel tank, a toolbox and an actual spare tyre. The bonnet in the back is decorated with several custom decals depicting the various cooling vents as well as the license plate and additional details. It can be opened which allows you to see the detailed 500cc straight twin engine. Furthermore, the doors can be opened and the front seats tilted forward allowing you to access the rear seat bench. On sunny days you can also swap out the closed sun-roof for the opened variant.     Haha it's great to see some activity here already merely 1 hour after the teaser got released. :D I'm happy that you like the model or at least what's visible of it right now. ;)

    Thanks for the kind words. :) I have to admit at the current time the car has no working steering as there's only about 1mm space between the front fenders and the wheels on either side. We were able to make it look like it's steerable because clipping is allowed in Blender. :P The car's design will definitely evolve over time and I'll make sure to take your suggestions into consideration. :)

    Hello and thanks a lot for checking out our latest collaboration! This project features a highly detailed replica of the iconic 1968 Fiat 500 F! Produced from 1957 to 1975 the Cinquecento is considered one of the first real city cars. Read more here. Consisting of 1157 pieces (all add-ons included) this model would be the ultimate for any fan of the Italian legend and definitely a great addition to any Lego collection. The major features are: -detailed exterior with custom prints such as the fiat logo and several prints on the back end -openable hood, trunk and doors -sun-roof (closed and opened) -removable luggage-rack on the back end -suitcase with a bottle and a glass inside -detailed trunk with spare wheel, fuel tank, car jack and a toolbox -engine compartment with a detailed 500cc straight twin engine -detailed interior with movable seats, pedals, handbrake as well as custom prints for the dashboard and the speedometer As mentioned above the proposal for the set includes two sun-roofs which can be interchanged to have the roof either opened or closed.     Very cool idea! :) However I have a few questions: Are you allowed to compete as a team of two people? And finally why exactly can we only use bricks that are available in the right colour in real life?

    The De Havilland DHC-2 often called Beaver is probably the most famous and beloved bush plane ever built. With its distinct look, flight characteristics and sound it's instantly recognizable. It was produced from 1947 to 1967 by De Havilland Canada. Despite being out of production for many years now a lot of planes are still in use. If you want to find out more about the real plane click here. With the help of gabriele.zannotti I built the DHC-2 out of Lego. Features: True to original plane with details such as exhaust, floats, decorated cockpit, nice looking and fresh colour scheme, window prints on the fuselage, radial engine print, antennas and lights on the wings Retractable landing gear that folds into the floats Accessories namely first aid kit, a mail package, a letter ,a fuel canister, a safety buoy and a rope to tie up the plane A small piece of land with a wooden dock, a fir tree and an air sock 2 minifigures, a pilot and a hermit who lives in the wilderness with his dog So what are you waiting for? Make sure to support our latest project on Lego Ideas! This project depicts the iconic entrance of Baker Street 221B as well as a Hansom cab with driver and three minifigs. A victorian police constable, Homes' assistant John Hamish Watson with his revolver and the master himself Sherlock Homes with his iconic deerstalker hat and a magnifying glass. This project is not based on any Sherlock Holmes movie or TV series but the original stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and with less than 400 bricks it would make a fantastic Lego Ideas set.     Airbus A380 Micro Model The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by European aircraft company Airbus. It is the world's largest passenger airliner, and the airports at which it operates have upgraded facilities to accommodate it. It was initially named Airbus A3XX and designed to challenge Boeing's monopoly in the large-aircraft market. The A380 made its first flight on 27 April 2005 and entered commercial service in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines. -Wikipedia Now I present to you the biggest passenger plane out of Lego! I tried to include as much details as possible at this small scale and I must say I'm quite pleased with the result. The project features: Detailed plane Decals Removable landing gear Display stand in various colors It's built out of 365 bricks which seems quite reasonable for a Lego Ideas set.     In my 15 years of building with Lego I never had a missing piece. The only oddity was a technic piece from the Unimog which was a little bit mis-molded but still useable. :)

    I'm not sure but I guess my dad's 40 year old Lego pieces are quite valuable. The license plate of my limited edition crawler is also quite precious I think.
